Do you listen to music while playing games?

And if so, what kinda music do you play at which kinda game?

Anyone know Shadow of the Colossus? If you own it, you should download the 'Braveheart Theme'. Play the game while turning on the Braveheart Theme. Man, that's awesome!

Also, I turn on 'Breaking Benjamin - Blow Me Away' real loud when playing Killzone :)

 

I do some times. The music I play, will I play all different kinds and the games I play are more of action/adventure tipe of games.

 

I don't, I actually find it more distracting to listen to music when I am gaming. Besides, I like the music that most games have anyways, although FF battle music (for all of the FF series) irritates me greatly.

 

Only for fast action games, like Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, and the like.

Though most games I play nowadays have great music that adds to the overall experience, like Metal Gear Solid and Half-Life.

Also, adding another source of sound can take away from being able to perceive the sounds made by enemies, thus distracting you.

If the games music isn't ****ing WOW OMFG THIS IS BEUTIFUL, then I'll listen to music. I usually listen to up-beat hip hop music while I'm playing, like Dyme-A-Duzin or Drake.

 

I usually blast System of a Down, Lamb of God or Megadeth to get me in a killin' mood.

 

not really, sometimes i do, but only on PC games, i wouldn't turn the volume off for a console game. and i do listen to music while playing PC games, it's always the radio that's next to me and not music on the PC.

I never listen to music while playing a game unless I'm playing an online shooter, then I just blast grindcore music cause that ****'s hardcore.

 

depends what genre.

for fighting game's and fps, i listen to music. everything else, not so much.

 

I listen to soundtracks from other games or anime. I'll usually pull out the ol' Death Note, The World Ends With You, Crisis Core, or Afro Samurai soundtracks out and listen to them. That usually fires me up.

 

That soundtrack is ****ing amazing. MadWorld has a surprisingly good soundtrack as well.

 

on most of the games i play the music is too calm and tranquil, like on fable I+II, Dragon Quest, The FF Games, etc. so i will listen to some industrial while i play. Stuff like the DMC games, Gungrave, God of war, .Hack, those kind of games i will listen to the real music.

 

I am very fond of the 360's integrated hardware-based custom soundtracks. Jethro Tull while playing Fallout, Apocalyptica during Burnout Paradise and Amon Amarth during Gears of War.

If you're just running around and lvling, the music in the area get's sorta boring after a while...Then it's nice with some change of music :3

All the time, I usually play any kind of music I feel like while playing any other kind of game. doesn't matter what music, or game. Video Game music gets old and annoying, and has a tendency to get stuck in your head...

 

I find it distracting to liste to music while I'm playing games. Probably because I still singing and bopping along so much I die.

Well unless it's The Sims... you can't really lose that game.​

 

Yes, one of my fav features on Xbox. I tend to listen to the Doom Level 1 song whilst playing L4D. Otherwise I just put the music on random and play Halo or GoW

 

i think i'll try something new.. while playing halo online ill listen to three days grace~ Riot at full blast lol :D
