I don't really mind having the name I have now, but when I was smaller I hated it cuz people teased me by calling me North/South Carolina. That's the one thing that bugs me even till this day. When they mispronounce it.

Since I'm hispanic it's pronounced (Caroleena)

Though sometimes I wish I had a different name like, Jennifer, or Mischa. But, even though I like them, they aren't me. Now that I'm older, I think my name is ok.

    Well,sort of yeah.

I like it because people have come up with cute nicknames for it :') and it also means "pure" (if I'm not mistaken) and "white"(lol how ironic..and I'm tanned skin) in some other language. But I kind of hate the fact of how I got it.

According to my mother , when I was born , she had no idea in what to name me [and both my parents thought I was gonna break the chain in the house and be a boy.too bad for them.]. She was sharing the room with another woman who also gave birth to a girl and she named her Bianca..so my mother decided to be a copycat and name me Bianca as well and added Michelle for my middle name.

    I think it's a nice name..but not wow.At least it's better than Victoria,otherwise my friends would've called me "Vicky"*shudders*.

I love my [nick]name. It's got two different meanings. One is the "Goddess Durga/Kali, of awesome powers and evil" [lulz~] and the other is "one with divine power and knowledge". It's a rather common name, but one letter makes it unique and...exotic? I donno.

My first and last are unique too, I'm not too fond of it, but I like it nonetheless. It's actually a male name, but I don't mind that. It means [putting both first and last together] "the being of divine light and knowledge".

Oh, and my last name is not the same as my family's last name. Everyone has a different last name in the family. Lastly, all my names [first, last & nickname] have 6 letters, making it 666. I lol'd.

I like my name. When I was young I never liked being called , partially because it was long and hard for me to spell. I grew very fond of ..., but as I've gotten older and learned all the cool meanings and stories behind , I've started to like it more and more.

I do wish sometimes that I had a different last name. I like that it's alliterated with my first name, but it's so disgusting to say. I sometimes consider using my mother's maiden name because I don't really consider my father much of a father-figure, and it sounds better.

I like my name I guess, I'm named after saint John, but I like my nickname JD better. I don't like my last name though. Everyone's always like, your last name's Dallas? Are you from Texas. Yes Bitch.

Wow... I love the name Edward.

At first, I loved my name because it was so special and unquie but then everyone took the mick out of it and I hated it.
But then I found out what it meant - Goddess of the Moon.
I always liked the dark and was never scared of it so is that where it comes from?
My name is Rhiannon and she is a Welsh Moon Goddess.

But I always wanted to be a boy.
And if I was I would of been called Daniel-Edward.
That name has no meaning though but it sounds special.
Daniel means Judged by God and Edward means Blessed Guardian.
That means I'm a blessed guardian whos judged by God?

I'm okay with my name. Jesse came from my Grandpa Jess, as did James, and Patrick came from my Grandad, on my Mom's side.

I just hate how on my school I.D., it says Jesse James ********, instead of just my first and last name.

(These are my first and two middle names, so don't get any ideas.)

I guess. John is a pretty damn common name, but I like it because my father and grandfather were also named John, and John James the Third sure beats the hell out of John.

I like mine actually. As a matter of fact, if I wasn't called the way I am I might have given this name to one of my kids. I'm happy with mine.

I don't really care for my name, but it doesn't bother me to the extent of changing it. Though my last name is one syllable and that bothers me cause a lot of names don't really fit with one syllable last names. SO I have to be very careful when choosing a name for a baby if I ever have one.

My name is gregory by the way.

Apparently my dad wanted to initally name me Philip, which is my middle name, but that would be weird cause one of my friends that lives across the street, his name is Philip and our mothers have the same name so that would've been weird.

But my mom told me once that my parents considered to call me dimitri. Which I thought would've been cool.

I'm cool with my name: "Troy" it's based off of my Dad's Middle Name: "Roy" and the meaning of it is "Soldier", which describes part of my character.

I'm a real trooper, so I am glad my name means a trait of my character.

Yeah, but that's you're character and one you created. My question was if you like your name because it fits or doesn't fit you or because it displeases you to have people call you that name, etc. Not because it's a similar trait of a character you designed.

    Eh, I like my name.
More and more people call me Haley on here,so I suppose I'm liking it.

It's not extremely common;although I share the name with my best friend.
And like others, recently I've learned more about it.
Like it is english for hay meadow, which I suppose is pretty.
    And it means hero.

I have found more nicknames over the years for it.

    Hale-Bopp/Young Hale-Bopp(Username = What?)
    Hale(mom and cousin)
    Halezy(Username = timexhasxgone)
    Haleika(friend Haley)
    HaleyBopp(my uncle)
    HaleyAnn(first and middle)

YOU MEAN LIKE NICKNAMES YOU HATE? : D

Nah, I don't really mind mine, even though it's meaning is like the Antichrist to the personality I've developed.
Apparently it means "honey bee". :B|:

I never had nicknames based off my real name as a kid, but this year a bunch sprang up all of a sudden so it was kinda wtf.
Though my campers call me Wolfie; I didn't mention anything about it being my nickname here. xD

My last name is basically the "Smith" equivalent of Poland, but people still can't spell/pronounce it right. >_>

But I wouldn't change it if I was given the choice.
