I'm sure that people do, and this may sound like spam...or a stupid question.
But, let's say, you make something, and people discuss it. Some smart person comes along, and tells you your mistake, and points it out at you, announces it to anyone. What would you do?
This applies to anything. What would your response be?

Heh... well I crumble at bad critique... a lot... I'm trying to not do that, since sometimes they're just trying to help out. But you can't help feeling bad sometimes because it feels like you didn't do good on the project the first time around. First, I would feel humilated if something like this were to happen. I would kindly take it, but deep down inside feel like an idiot. Then I could just let it go, or beat myself over it first. Depends how bad the situation was.

I'd try to make a joke but if I'm too uninspired for that I'll just admit my mistake and try to do better next time.

If I had become emotionally attached to whatever it was...then I'd probably make a joke but feel mad at them still. I hate making mistakes, especially when people hear about them.

Depends on the situation. If I drew something and someone critqued me on it, pointing out some obvious mistakes, I'd feel a bit stupid, maybe more so if I had a reference to look at. If I was trying to prove I was right about something and was so much in the wrong that it was a level of almost uber-wrongness, then yeah, I'd hate feeling stupid in that case.

If a mistake is ever made in one of my debates and somebody points it out I usually ask them what was wrong so I can learn from it. If anyone laughs I just shrug since everybody makes a mistake every once in a while.

I think that everyone hates being made to feel stupid, none of us like to look like an idiot.

If someone gives me criticism then I don't mind as long as they aren't rude about it, I hate when someone comes at me like "OMGUH U SUK", like if you don't like something I've done then tell me what it is, how else would I learn you know?

It all depends on how they say what they say, though usually I appreciate advice on how to improve.

I usually crack a joke. If the correction etc. is done with a bad intention, then the joke is really sarcastic, maybe even insulting towards the 'corrector'. If it's done in good spirits, then the joke's on me.

That's like whether or not to cut the blue wire or the red wire and you cut the wrong one and everything explodes and its all your fault, but it was a mistake xD

But now that you ask, I have absolutely no idea. I'd like to learn from my mistakes, and if everyone laughs, well, I'm a clown for a day. People make mistakes everyday, nothing new there.

I like to be feel stupid if someone is critiquing *cannot spell today* me on something importaint to me, then I would like to improve so I can do a way better job later on....but if they just keep going without stopping and becoming more and more relentless, that's when I get mad....

I do stupid things all the time, and I'm pretty damn used to it by now. I just laugh it off.

Unless I broke something relatively expensive..... then it's kinda hard to laugh. >>

I'm not sure what I do. With my friends, I normally make a face and move on to the next subject. But if it's someone I don't know, I think I might get mad.
    I'm not sure.

Depending if I know the person.

Friends, we end up insulting each other. If it's someone else I don't know, I basically scratch my head and say "okay". XD

I've never liked being put on the spot. Especially in front of a lot of people.

It depends on how they say what they say. If they act immature about it and say mean comments of course I'll be mad at that person. But if they say it in a way that isn't offensive, I'll take it and use what they as an advantage so I won't make the same mistake again.

I have reached the "level" to where I can play around with situations. So... I'd probably make some jokes and walk away, or I would simply make them look stupid by doing something without hurting them emotionally or physically. O_o

If you're talking about critique, I think everyone needs to be told if they're doing something wrong. Not in a harsh or bad way, and not over and over again, but I think people need to say what should be said. I personally love critique, as long as it is based on fact. You know, "you did this and this wrong, and here's how to fix it" rather than "this is stupid! You suck!" - especially with my AMVs. I encourage constructive criticism, actually. It taught me everything I know, basically.

If you mean, just making a mistake and getting it pointed out, making you feel like a moron (I've had that happen to me a few times), yea, it feels bad, but I would just laugh (in my head) about the accuser's need to feel better than someone, never make the mistake again, and get on with my life.
