Do you guys think we'll get something new?

I would be all for it. Star Wars would make an interesting giant world that isn't similar to any other worlds. Along with a force gimmick in battle when triangle is pressed. Star Wars would be cool, but Marvel would be in even better IMO. Spiderman fighting along side with Sora seems fitting to me, along with X-Men and other superheros. Would make unique worlds and add some extra flavor.

Doubt it will happen, but it would be awesome.

 

The Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts was Birth by Sleep. :P I think KH should continue using original Disney worlds. I don't think it would be the same if Marvel or Star Wars were added.. :3

 

As much as I love Star Wars, I could not conceivably see it fitting in with Kingdom Hearts. I'm not a Marvel fan (nothing against it, just not into it), but my feelings are similar. Kingdom Hearts sticks to things that scream Disney--Star Wars and Marvel, while owned by Disney, are not known as Disney products. I don't think a lot of people are even aware that Marvel & Lucasfilms are owned by Disney.

Even the newer films mixed in with Kingdom Hearts are still very much "Disney" productions. Pirates of the Caribbean, for example, has been a major ride at Disney World for years. TRON is really the big outlier here, though. I love the movies but I'm not sure they fit in so well with the Kingdom Hearts universe. Pixar I can see them adding as it's a Disney staple these days.

Actually yes, that would be nice, but it's impossible/improbable since Disney does not own any anime (to my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong), I don't think Square-Enix would use any of their anime (if they have. I think they have. still clueless), and it might clash a bit too much with the initial disney theme.

 

Maybe not for these ones. I heard somewhere that the Xehanort Saga (Kingdom Hearts as we know it right now) won't be the only Kingdom Hearts games. There will be games after KHIII which won't have Xehanort as the villain. Maybe once they have defeated Xehanort, they can focus on exploring the worlds and find worlds containing Marvel and Star Wars. It doesn't fit into these games though. I think KHIII should be focused on bringing together everything from the other games, not really introducing new elements. New game play, yes, but not too many new worlds or concepts.

That was counted as an anime? I didn't know, but still. If they wanted to add stitch, I'd prefer a lilo and stitch world rather than the stitch one.

 

I like Star Wars, but to be honest I would be against it being in Kingdom Hearts, the two universes wouldn't mesh well.
Star Wars is a very grandiose universe that spans entire galaxies. Not only would it be extremely challenging to fit something like that into KH, but since Star Wars does not have a single planet that could be used as a backdrop (effectually ignoring everything else in Star Wars other than the one planet) they would have to come with an excuse for why this other stuff is being ignored except what is affecting the characters, and how multiple planets can exist within a single world in KH.

 

Not really, Anime doesn't fit with KH imo. Closest things would be Chrono Trigger (Which I'd love to be in KH) and Dragon Quest (never played it)

 

I would want Darth Vader or Apprentice to be like a easter egg boss. Plus i can imagine that you can get a command (only for Riku) that allows you to pick up your enemies and suffocate them for a short amount of time. Kinda like Darth Vader

But saying it doesn't fit quote simply isn't true. I don't watch much anime, but my friends have equated Sora and Riku tos SO MANY anime characters it's not even funny

I agree and disagree with the Sasuke part. Riku and Sasuke are similar in ways but Sasuke is more......let's just say f*cked up in the head than Riku.
If Riku stood the same in kh1, then yeah he's more like sasuke.

 

To be fair, most people I've talked to are only familiar with KH1 and 2

 

As it happens, I'm reading the manga right now and in a couple pages Riku looks strikingly similar to Sasuke.
Really, the only way that they are similar is that they are a little less laid-back and easy-going as the main character. Other than that they are different in almost no ways that come to mind. Their goals are different, their motivations are different, everything.
