Kingdom Hearts II Do Nobodies Bleed?

Exactly, but some Nobodies are borned specially just like Namine.

They bleed particles of darkness. *shrugs* Other than that I don't really know.

 

I guess I can argue both ways. On one hand, I want to say yes because just look at them in the game. They're breathing, they're eating, they're thinking (we hope, maybe not in Demyx's case), and of course they're moving around. They can't feel emotions with a symbolic heart, but they'd still have the heart keeping them alive. Y'know...think the Grinch. He was alive...he just didn't care. In that case, yes, Nobodies could bleed.

If I were to stick with the "Nobodies are just shells" theory, then I'd say no and go with what I've seen in some fanfics and think makes some sense: a Nobody gets a deep cut and starts releasing black wisps of darkness instead of blood, much like what we see when they fade. But even then that'd be "bleeding", just no blood.

 

Nobodies lack a Heart in the metaphorical sense, but it never says anything about the physical organ. However, being made of darkness kind of gets in the way of well, organs. They most likely bleed Darkness or something.

But in the latest Manga chapter, Xaldin has a nosebleed.

And now I'm more Confused.

I can't help but liken the Organization somewhat to the vampires like what was on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. They have a physical heart, but it doesn't beat or function. Their blood sits still inside their blood vessels unused -- though yes, when they are cut, they bleed. Their bodies are held together and unphased by decay by the mystical energy of the vampire demon inside. When a vampire is staked, they turn to dust; similar to the way Nobodies fade away into bits and pieces of darkness, incidentally.

That being said, I believe something similar is true for the Organization. As Yen Sid said, when someone with a strong will and heart succumbs to the darkness, the empty shell left behind continues to act with said will. The will is apparently strong enough to keep the body from decaying, and still able to go through the motions of being alive (which may or may not include a beating heart, I haven't thought that far yet ^^;), much like how they 'pretend' to have emotions. They may not necessarily require doing these things, like eating, going to the bathroom, etc., but they do them anyway out of habit and memory.

And I completely forgot the rest of what I was going to say. Damn me.

 

I personally think they can bleed, it's only the child friendly aspect of the game that prevents us from seeing it. And I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more blood in Kingdom Hearts. In fact I must draw this one day, there's no way somebodies or nobodies can battle to the death without as much as a scratch. WITH SHARP WEAPONS AS WELL.

So yeah, now you have my vote on yes.

I think that in the CoM that comes with KH2 FM+ they show blood and such...

 

I doubt they had blood,and the manga is usually way different than the manga,and I doubt Nomura would make anyone in the game bleed

Ice Cream is simply Ice Cream,Axel and Roxas can eat Ice Cream because they're still human,but without essence of a heart.

Yes, Nobodies can bleed. Bleeding is a result of cutting cut in a way that blood goes from the inside of your body to the outside. Nobodies have blood, because they have a body. The heart that pumps their blood is part of the vessel that carries their heart and soul, while the heart they lose is more of a figurative term, meaning their emotion and "spirit." Its like the difference between saying "A good sports player puts a lot of HEART into his game," and saying "He died due to a HEART failure at the hospital" So, as they still have their physical heart, they can definately bleed.

If you deny that there is a separation between the two hearts, think of it this way: If they were the same heart, then when Sora stabbed himself, he would have suffered a fatal wound, and been instantly dead. His corpse would have stayed there, and his heart would be in his body. Sorry for being so graphic. But instead, his little glowing "heart" flittered away, and his simply became a Heartless and a Nobody.

Why they don't show it in the game? When does Square ever show blood? The only blood I can ever think of seeing is in Advent Children when Cloud gets his goggles shot off and when Sephiroth stabs him, or in the opening FMV for FFVIII, when Squall gets his trademark scar. During gameplay, they never show blood. Plus, I'm sure that they're trying to keep the rating low.

 

I don't think a nobody can bleed.Square Einx would say no.

 

What I think, is that they can bleed, but Disney and Square don't show the blood in the game.

Cause, you know, it's Disney. =/

 

Seeing as no one in KH, including those with hearts, never even seem to get their clothes torn when cut by something, the fact that we've never seen blood coming out of nobodies means nothing.
Personally, I think this "heart" they talk about is not quite literal, not quite metaphorical. It's intangible but existent. It's the center where emotions come from. Heartless are drawn towards those emotions, and being purely instinctive, mistake the heart as the feelings themselves, and steal it. Taking it away is like taking away a part of a person's personality. It makes them incomplete, but they still live. Their actual physical heart stays intact. (Despite that rather gross depiction in the KH manga when Sora first arrives in Traverse Town and a heartless steals that hooker's heart...) After all, the nobodies still eat and breathe and stuff. Although their bodies are more malleable than a regular human beings... (that's why they can fade away)

 

If they did I don't think they would bleed blood....they would probably bleed darkness....but of course it being a Disney game neither of those would be shown leaking from wounds....much less wounds being shown....

Nobodies are All bodies. No emotions. Emotions are anger, love, hate. Not Pain. They can bleed, but they lack a "Soul".

There are three things, a body, a heart, and a spirit. I consider the spirit to be life and the heart to be a "soul". So lets take a normal being for example. it has a body, the body contains thought. Without the body there would be no vessel to contain the life and Heart, without it the heart would be lost to darkness and the life would die. When the heart leaves the body, it is consumed and warped by the darkness until it gains thought. If a heart is recovered then somehow the body is split along with the life. Next is the Life/soul. This animates the Body and heart. Without it, there is nothing. Finally there is the heart. This provides humanity and is the main base of emotion. It is sort of like a soul. When the body is lost, the heart either goes to Kingdom hearts or darkness. If it goes to darkness, Darkness consumes it and grows strong. A person without a heart would live a half life, doomed to walk the earth seeking that which is lost.

Yeah, that is my take on it. Also the Keyblade and most weapons attack the heart in this game, not the body.
