Most rappers don't sing. They talk in a beat. That is not singing. Singing is utilizing your vocal ability to create musical notes in varying pitches and timing it to a beat. Modern rappers, such as the two addressed in this topic, usually lack any real vocal talent and simply stick to vocalizing in a standard speaking tone, sometimes with the assistance of computerized auto-tuning to give the illusion of actually being able to sing in a range of pitches. This is severely obvious with T-Pain and Akon.

Lil Wayne doesn't seem to know how to talk. I listened to one of his songs and I absolutely did not know wtf he was saying. XD "Make It Rain" wasn't that bad.

T-Pain....meh...I like his songs for about a week and then I don't anymore.

As for T-pain and Lil Wayne together, I did kinda like that one song "Got Money" they did..but I think they can do better with other people. :P

Joe Budden keeps it real, yes. But there are so many that I'd put above him when it comes to keeping it real.

Let's try to name people relevant to today's active list of rappers. Tupac and Biggie don't count since everyone **** rides their graves.

    Agreed with GX.
Lupe fiasco definitely puts it up.
If you're a clown you'd say Gucci Mane. Please don't be a clown.
Kanye keeps many lyrics based on moments in his life, which is real as well.

    Fake clown rappers ;
    Weezy.
Thanks, but his punchlines make me laugh, so +1.

My rapper of the moment though, Drake. Even though he is so overhyped, it's not funny -_-

Bow Wow? That's your idea of rap? What's next, Soulja Boy?

My rapper of the moment would be Charles Hamilton. Dude keeps it real and is on some other dimensional ****.

Guys, let's take our time away from the mainstream and talk about other rappers like...Lupe Fiasco as mentioned by Split, and the once who are truly skilled.

Bow Wow isn't that great, and Soulja Boy can't rap or dance.

You guys seem to be forgetting, or just sheerly lack the knowledge, of Jae Millz.

I have full knowledge of Jae Millz. He is not exceptional in anyway.
You are not a Lil Wayne fan.
