I'm totally with you, I clean my room thoroughly probably every week or two and there does seem to be an inordinate amount of dust. It's usually only on particular surfaces that I notice it, though--e.g. the shiny black of my monitor, PS3 (I have the fat one), and TV. I'm not really sure what can be done about it, but Mixt is right, dry dusting really just moves the dust rather than gets rid of it.

I normally dry dust because I normally don't care to use any other method, they seem to take too long. Though every so often I will use other methods that remove the dust, though the effects don't seem to last long. I'm probably doing it wrong or something, I don't know.

I just use a wet rag or towel when I clean my computer desk and other things.
