Cosmos, The Goddess of Harmony.
Chaos, The God of Discord.

The 13th cycle had ended long ago. Since then, the warriors that the God and Goddess had been using to fight their war had either fallen while fighting in the War of the Gods or by some other means in their own worlds. It was then that Chaos and Cosmos had come face to face to discuss the issue.

"Cosmos. I come to you to discuss an issue both of us currently have. The warriors we have been using to fight this war are no more. There are none like them left in that part of the universe."

Cosmos nodded.

"I am aware. We must find new warriors worthy of fighting. But the question is, who else in the universe is there?"

The Gods pondered the question for a while.

They eventually came across two worlds that were very similar to each other, and chose to summon warriors from both of those worlds.

The warriors have been summoned, and the battle will soon begin.

"Greetings, Warriors. I am known as Chaos, the God of Discord. I have summoned you here to fight for me against the warriors of the Goddess, Cosmos. Defeating her chosen will lead you to the goddess herself, and her eventual defeat, leaving the universe to me."

Chaos snapped his fingers, which created a black wormhole on the ground in front of his throne. A man wearing a maroon suit stepped out from the portal, bowing to those in front of him.

"This is Mr. Miles Edgeworth. He will be observing the battle for me and reporting any...transgressions."

"Pleasure to be of service, my lord."

"Now go, my subjects. Show me that I did not make a mistake in choosing all of you."

The gates that were blocking the stairs from Chaos's throne opened, allowing the warriors to leave.

Cosmos Warriors read this:

"Welcome, my chosen. I have brought you here today to ask for your help."

The Goddess stood up from where she was sitting, stepping closer to her warriors.

"Many eons ago, a different group of warriors fought for me, collecting 10 crystals that would give them the power to win this war. Those crystals have since been destroyed. What I ask of you today is to keep the warriors of Chaos, the God of Discord, at bay until I can figure out an alternative to the crystals. For without them, we cannot win this war."

Cosmos created a light portal, out of which came a man in a blue suit with spiky, black hair.

"This is Mr. Phoenix Wright. He will watch over you as you fight."

"Happy to be of service, Your Highness."

"Now go, fight to protect the fate of your worlds!"

 

X looked at his partner Zero. Zero nodded and X spoke to Cosmos.
"Glad to help My lady." He said humbly.
"Oh, X. You're such a flatterer." Zero said smiling.
Amaterasu looked at them both. If they knew I was a goddess... she thought.

Dante looked at Miles, and a Chaos. "If anything, I'm the only mistake you didn't make." He said as he left.

 

Logan began walking towards the exit when he heard Dante's comment. He purposely bumped into him as he passed. "You got a lot o' bark, kid. You'd better hope you've got the bite to back it up." He said as he went down the stairway.

 

"Flattery serves no purpose; if we have been brought here to fight a war for you, then you are going to have to prove you are worth any of our time." the teal-coated half-demon, Vergil, said bluntly, not caring what any of the others thought of what he had to say. And why should he? To him, they were all weaklings, unless they could prove themselves otherwise, even Cosmos herself.
"You ask us to protect you from this 'Chaos', and yet you offer no reasons, no explanation for your request, and you still expect for us to obey it without question. Such audacity and arrogance makes me wonder if your intentions are not something more..."

 

Cosmos smiled at the boy's questioning. There hadn't been a warrior like him in a while.

"If you do allow Chaos to emerge victorious from this battle, then all worlds, including yours, would fall into discord, leaving everything and everyone in an endless abyss of darkness and pain without end. Not even somebody as powerful as your father Sparda would be strong enough to combat Chaos if he gets to that point. So I ask you, if not for me, but for yourselves."

Cosmos knew that Vergil was half-demon, but she knew that he would be one of her most worthy assets in the war.

 

Unsurprised that the Godess knew of his father, Vergil thought on what she had said for a moment. If what she had said was true, then the war would definitely have to be fought.
"A world without order would fall into ruin in moments, but what do you claim of yourself, should this war be decided in your favour?" he questioned, still unsure as to whether or not the woman was worthy of wielding his power as a son of Sparda.

"And you think you get it any different?" came the voice of the black-trenchcoat wearing demon hunter, Nero, his demonic arm plainly on display.
"If you wanna say we better back up our talk, you better make sure we ain't the only ones doin' it."
His words were sharp, bitter. Having only known the shaggy-haired mutant for a matter of seconds, he had already decided that he disliked him intensely, his attitude distinctly rubbing him the wrong way.
"You think any one of us was brought here just as an extra target? We've all got skills that we're gonna need to win this, but it looks like yours is just plain pissing people off."

 

"I gain nothing from victory other than peace. Peace knowing that Chaos will be unable to unleash destruction upon the universe, and that order is sustained. Nothing more. Now please, be on your way. I feel the presence of Chaos's warriors."

Logan got up into the kid's face. He could tell already that there were gonna be issues between the two. "Now you listen here, bub. I'm the best there is at what I do. And what I do ain't pretty..."
Wolverine put his fist under the boy's jaw, revealing two out of his three metal claws on each side of his face, mere centimeters away from his skin. "Got it? I could cut you into sushi before you could call for help."
Logan retracted his claws and went about his business.
"Stupid kid."

"Friendly bunch, aren't they?" Miles said to his leader.
"It matters not how they feel about each other. What does matter is that they fight and win this war."
"Of course, my liege."

 

"Hey!" Dante said. "Ease off the guy. He has a point" He told Nero.

"Shall we begin?" X asked evewryone.
"I guess..." Zero said.
Amaterasu yipped in agreement.

 

Nero let out a half-grunt, half-sigh at Dante's apparent defending of Logan.
"If you say so." he conceded, turning towards the doors, and by extension the staircase. It seemed as though the mutant's actions hadn't phased him at all.
"Doesn't change what we're here for anyway, let's find who we're up against and kick their asses already."

"...very well." the white-haired half-demon stated calmy, preparing himself to meet these other warriors that the Godess had mentioned.
"I will fight for you. However, it is not simply because you asked; it's because I choose to do so."
Allowing those words to take their meaning, Vergil left the area swiftly, not waiting for the response. The response wouldn't matter to him anyway; he was choosing to fight now, and that was all that mattered.

 

"That Vergil guy gives me the creeps. He's so...menacing." Phoenix said to his Goddess.
"Yes, he is not the nicest of my warriors, but at least he has agreed to fight. Even if he doesn't like it."

As everyone left the Sanctuary, Cosmos eyes Amaterasu. She was a wolf, but Cosmos could feel some power within her that was similar to Cosmos's.

"That's quite strange."
"What's that?"
"Amaterasu, the wolf, she has a...powerful aura about her. Almost that of a Goddess."
"Hmm. That's odd indeed. Oh! I almost forgot, I've looked over the files like you asked, and have come up with unique ways for the 'EoH' to work for each individual. Vergil was the hardest to come up with, especially when working around that Devil Trigger of his." The defense attorney explained, holding golden papers in his hands.
The Goddess took the papers and looked them over.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Wright, this is perfect. When they return we will initiate the process."

 

"Hey guys. Who'd we kill first?" Deadpool asked popping up from behind his fellow Chaos warriors. "I'd of asked that Chaos guy but the guy playing me thought education was more important, what a jackass. Am I right?" The Merc with a Mouth kept on talking, everyone called him mad, but he called himself Mediumly Aware.

 

Logan turned around to see where the familiar-sounding voice was coming from.
"Oh, not him.."
He he finally saw who it came from. It was none other than Deadpool.
"Great. Just friggin great." He though, continuing onward.

As the warriors dispersed, Miles and Chaos were collaborating on something.
"As you can see, Project 'EoD' is near completion. I've calibrated it's effects for each warrior, ensuring maximum efficiency." Miles explained, handing dark red papers to his leader.
The God red them over, enjoying every word.
"Very nice, Edgeworth. I see I did not make a mistake in choosing you as my aid."
"Thank you, sir. How would you like it to be distributed?"
"We'll send our newest assistant out. His abilities ensure it will be done quickly and correctly."
"I will release him immediately." After saying this, Miles stepped behind Chaos's throne, where four figures stood motionless.
Miles stood before the figure on the far left and held his hand out towards it. This caused a black aura to surround it and levitate it into the air.
Miles moved the figure before Chaos, dropping it on the ground.
"I see you've become accustomed to your abilities?"
"Very much so sir."
"Excellent. Now, awaken, my tool!"
The God snapped his fingers, which brought the figure to life.
"W-What is this!?"
Chaos gave this man the ability to spread the 'EoD' to anyone he struck.
"Find my warriors, give them the power they need to fight this war."
The figure struggled to his feet.
"N-Nobody commands Do-Ugh!"
"You WILL do my bidding!"
The figure stopped struggling.
"I will do your bidding..."
The man said in an almost zombie-like tone.
Chaos pointed towards the exit to the Edge of Madness.
"You WILL deliver the Essence of Discord!"
"I will deliver the Essence of Discord..."
"Good. Now, go."
"Yes, Master Chaos..."
The man went as Chaos directed.
"Hmph. Feisty one, isn't he?"
"I now see the reason he was a dictator. He had a will of steel, and a fist of iron. Admirable traits, indeed."

OOC: Essence of Discord will be explained in due time, so please don't ask.

 

OOC: *Cough* Dr. Doom HO! *cough*

BIC: "Logan. Wolverine. Spikey Claw Man." Deadpool listed off the names of Wolverine, even ones that didn't exist. "We're on the same side again. We'll make a great team with your slashyness and my shootyness and slashyness." He continued talking while waving his gun around.
"BANG!" he shouted while pretending to shoot things, "BANG! BANG! BANG!" he continued diving and positioning about still pretending to shoot things. "Oh you like that, well how about this?" he said taking out a second gun and pretended to shoot both of them this time. "BULLETTTSSSSSSS!"

Seeing and hearing the group Deadpool had latched his attention onto, Jubei decided not to go in that direction. He headed off alone. His powers where darkness, so he knew why he was summoned, but he couldn't help shake the feeling that Chaos might insight his name. However, he understood that this world would be nothing but fighting and kept himself ready to draw his sword at any time.

 

Silently walking away from the group, Samanosuke continued on his path forward out of the Sanctuary and into the strange new world he was drawn into. He found it would be best if they split up but wouldn't mind if one wished to join him. As the samurai walked on he stared at the huge gauntlet attached to his left arm and sighed. "It looks like I will have to put this on hold" Samanosuke said with a sigh as he looked ahead of himself. His quest to seal away the soul of the Gemma king Nobunaga had to be put on hold. Being summoned to fight for prosperity, Samanosuke was ready to fight

 

Dante looked at Deadpool. "My sword and guns could kick your's asses any day." He said.

X looked at Amaterasu and Zero. "The three of us should be a team. You know, look out for each other."
Zero nodded. "You know I'm on your side, X." he replied.
Amaterasu looked at the boys, and nodded in agreement.
"Alright, we better get a lead on to where we're going." X said.

 

"If we're doing this," Nero cut Dante and Deadpool's conversation short, "Let's do it now. The faster we get this fight done, the faster we can all get back to wherever it is we came from."
He had no patience for the bickering and bragging that this pair had begun already, even if Dante himself had turned out to be a respectable guy before. He continued walking, past them and keeping going.

'A team?' Vergil questioned internally as he vacated the area. 'How could any of them be so foolish as to allow another to be the one guarding their back?'

 

Dante looked at Nero. "Don't like it? Go back home. We don't need you to fight."

Amaterasu, being a goddess in disguise heard Vergil's thoughts. She indicated to X, who seemed to have understood.
"Look, I don't know about you but Zero and I have been partners forever. And Amaterasu seems powerful enough so for us to win we need whatever help we have." X said fiercely.

 

OOC: Sorry for not posting, school has been really keeping me away the last couple of days.

BiC:

Logan continued away from the staircase, off into the vastness of this new world. The landscape of this part of the world gave it a hellish feel. Blood-red skies, burning structures, and a demonic god ruling over it. There were also gigantic swords in the ground all over the place. "This place rubs me the wrong way..." He said to himself aloud.

Chaos's lackey, Dr. Victor Von Doom, had finally caught up with the Chaos warriors.
Without a word, he let out a blast of black electricity from the tips of his fingers, hitting each of the warriors in front of him.
As the black lightning faded from his fingers, Doom went on his way back to The Edge of Madness.
Chaos's voice echoed through the area:

"Warriors, you have been given but a small piece of my endless power, known as the Essence of Chaos. This energy can be used at any time, but be warned: prolonged use of this power will drain your life force, so use it only when necessary. Good luck."


OOC: Alrighty, Essence of Chaos is pretty much a dark power-up ability given to the warriors by Chaos. Each warrior is effected differently is terms of abilities. The only thing that each warrior shares in Essence Mode (We'll call it that from now on) is that they have pitch-black skin, red eyes and a demonic-sounding voice. I will give each character's changes here:

Wolverine/Logan:
Claws are jagged and longer. Getting cut leaves a chaotic poison. The poison isn't lethal, but it weakens it's victims for one hour.
Speed is increased.
Can launch his claws like small missiles, minus the exploding. They also have no poison when launched.

Dante:
Sword is always ablaze while in Essence Mode.
Gun rounds have explosive rounds.
Can fly, even when not "Triggered".
Speed is increased.
Biggest change is that Devil Trigger is now called Chaos Trigger. No changes in terms of abilities, but all the Essence Mode changes are increased even more while in Chaos Trigger mode.
Chaos Trigger drains life force twice as fast.

Nero:
Sword length is extended by 1/4 of it's original size.
Devil Bringer length is doubled.
Speed increased.
Flight is always enabled.
Like Dante, Nero possesses the Chaos Trigger, but instead of Yamato appearing, a spectral image of Chaos appears, granting him superior strength.

EDIT: Continuing on:

Deadpool:
Guns have explosive rounds like Dante's
Healing factor is increased to the point of indestructibility
Katana are black, giving off the same poison as Wolverine's Essence Claws
Speed is increased twofold
Teleportation belt has one more use:
Creating a clone when Deadpool teleports. What this means is that when Deadpool uses his belt to teleport, a clone is left where he was once standing.

Jubei Yagyu:
Speed of attacks are doubled, making it almost impossible to see them coming.
Speed is doubled.
Moonlight Projectiles: Jubei can reflect any kind of light off of his blade. This light will send 3 waves of light at his opponent.
Restoration of the Lost Eye: The patch over Jubei's eye is removed. The now-exposed eye is filled with the power of Chaos, letting him see the weaknesses of enemies.

 

"Essence of Chaos eh?" DANTE said. He liked the idea of having a bit of Chaos to use for his power.

OOC: Pretty BA. This is gonna be fun :D

 

OOC: Apologies for a long-@$$ hiatus, school was being a jerk. If anybody's still even interested in this, we will continue.

I guess I'll make another post to get the ball re-rolling.

BiC:

Victor, no longer under Chaos's possession, returned to the Edge of Madness. He stood before the God, an angered look in his eyes. "I have done your bidding, beast. Now send me back to my world, Latveria is waiting." Doom demanded. Chaos turned to his assistant. "Allow me to explain something, Victor. You aren't going anywhere. So long as there is a single remaining Harmonic being in this realm, you will fight for Chaos. Failure to comply will get you sent to the Court of Eternity, where you will be tried for treason. In the very likely you are proven guilty, you will be sent to a Purgatory-like prison, where you will be...Rehabilitated. Understood?" Miles explained. Doom clenched his metallic fist. "...Understood." He replied.

Cosmos sat upon her throne, wondering where her adviser had gone. "He's been gone for a while..." The Goddess said worriedly. Just then, the man she'd been looking for came running back. He was running in a worried huff. "C-Cosmos! *huff* It's Chaos! He's *Huff* He's given some kind of dark power to the opposing warriors!" He explained, barely breathing. "He must be trying to get the upper hand. But what he doesn't know, is that we've got Phoenix Wright on lookout. Thank you for this news, Mr. Wright." The Goddess complimented. Phoenix scratched the back of his head. "Heh, it was nothin', your Harmoniousness." Cosmos opened a portal to a world that looked familiar to Phoenix. It was his homeworld. "Huh? What're you doing?" He asked. "In light of this recent news, I've decided to call on somebody as trustworthy as you to perform this next task." Cosmos explained. "And who would that be? Maya? Gumshoe?" He asked. Before Cosmos said anything, a tall woman wearing a black suit stepped out from the portal. It took Phoenix a moment to notice, but the woman that stepped out was Mia Fey. "M-Mia?...Is that you?" Phoenix asked, disbelief in his voice. "Of course it's me! What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Mia said. Mia's attitude confused Phoenix. Mia had been dead for years, yet she was speaking as if nothing ever happened. "Allow me to explain, Phoenix. This indeed the Mia you knew, but she is from the past. The time I took her from is a few days before...The incident." Cosmos explained. "Incident? What're you talking about? And where am I?" Mia asked. "Allow me to explain..."

OOC:You don't have to read what's in the spoiler. I'll put a shortened version afterwords.

~Explanation~
"You are both from the same dimension, but from different periods in time. Mia, in Phoenix's time, you are...dead." Cosmos said. Mia's face turned pale. "Dead!? B-But how?" Mia exclaimed. At this point, Phoenix was at tears. He was remembering that day all too well. "Unfortunately, I've told you too much. It is a rule as a Goddess to keep the details significant events in a person's life a secret. My apologies. But right now, that is the least of our worries." Cosmos touched Mia's forehead, instilling a special power into her. "Phoenix, take Mia to the warriors. She will be the deliverer of the Essence of Cosmos." Cosmos said. Phoenix wiped the tears from his face. "*Sniff* Yes, Your shininess." Phoenix said, moving toward the where the warriors had went off to.

OOC: The spoiler basically explains the "incident" to Mia. Mia's given the Essence of Cosmos and is told to go with Phoenix to deliver it to the warriors.

The essence of Cosmos is the harmonious equivalent to the Essence of Chaos, and, like the Essence of Chaos, it effects everyone differently. The only quality they share is that they all have shining white skin and golden eyes. Essence of Cosmos doesn't drain the user's life force, but it's limited in it's "energy". Getting hit drains energy, as does attacking. Taking damage drains more than dealing it. Here's the specifics:

Vergil:
Speed increased
Strength increased
New ability: Light-Boomerang Blade. Charge energy within Vergil's blade and swing. A light blade with fly out and spin at the target. After the blade travels 30 feet, it returns.
New ability: Cosmos Trigger. The complete opposite of Devil Trigger, as all of the abilities are light-based. Ending Cosmos Trigger will also end Essence of Cosmos as well.

X:
Speed increased.
Dash is now a fully-fledged teleport.
A second Mega-Buster is added to X's other hand, giving him more firepower.
A charged buster shot moves at the speed of light, making it nearly impossible to miss.
Charging two buster shots at the same and touching the two Mega-Busters together will combine them, creating the Hyper-Buster. Firing the Hyper Buster is similar to this:
