Tidus grinned and smiled.

Jecht watched him leave and scoff.

 

Firion looked at Cloud "Could you give me some time? I want to come up with an answer that would convince you" Firion said

"well you have to remember that that monkey would risk his own life to save a friend, right? There's your answer right there" Kefka said

"that is correct his son Tidus has taken his place. Kefka seems to be scheming to gain that girl once more like the previous war. Kefka merely took over her mind using her own powers. A pawn of Cosmos fighting against her allies. Terra was still considered a pawn of Cosmos and as such could not summon anyone else" Garland said

 

Cloud just nodded in response and started to walk with the group

Kuja had to argee with the clown, it was a simple plan. "Wel then, since Zidane and his fellow brat aare searching for the Crystals, I suppose we ought to create one to catach them off guard." He said intelligently.

Sephiroth just nodded. "That is indeed a good assumption but I'm sure Cosmos has a idea with the young girl...Just as I with Cloud." Sephiroth said, he and Cloud were like yin and yang or two sides of the same coin as long as Cloud had a reason, he would pull his strings, making him believe he was his puppet.

 

Tidus put his hands behind his heads and walked with them.

 

Garland nodded "me and the warrior of light have been in this war the longest. I have seen many things unfold. I am a prisoner of this war" Garland said

"wayyyyyy ahead of you" Kefka said with a grin as he took out a crystal "Exdeath did me a favor and gave me this crystal. Now I'll just set the trap and you will have a captured monkey" Kefka said with a laugh

 

Kuja just grinned. "Well then, let us catch some fish." He said as he hovered away.

Sephiroth was listening to Garland and he didn't honestly care about how long he had in this war. "Then I suppose you have a plan Garland or is it Chaos's plan?" He asked him

Squall was dispatching Manikins left and right as he twirled his Gunblade.

 

Garland turned away "that is something that does not concern you. I advise you do not fight the warrior of light. He is indeed a strong one. Although this is just my advise, weather you listen or not is up to you" Garland said walking away "when a pawn loses its use it is thrown away into the void. Just remember that" Garland said as he walked away. His voice still loud enough for Sephiroth to hear. He began to remember what happened to Gabranth

Kefka grinned and set the crystal near Bartz and Zidane and hid away

 

Bartz watched and grinned. "Look, Zidane, a crystal!" He went to grab it.

 

"Hey!" He quickly said and then closed his eyes from the light that shone form the crystal and Zidane looked where Bartz once stood. "Bartz...? Hey, where did you go?" He asked around, Bartz had vanished.

Sephiroth just walked on as he heard his words. "That rule applies to you as well." he said as he vanishied.

Cloud stood at where he and his companions were, they appeared at a castle with images of different areas in the sky.

Squall looked at the feather he was given and heard a flash as it was Cosmos. "...I got something pushed onto me." He said coldly.

 

Bartz woke up and rubbed his head. "Man, what happened?" He looked around.

Tidus looked around.

 

"hmph that cannot be. For I have been chose by the great will himself to watch over this war. Im not an easily disposable pawn like you Sephiroth" Garland said as he walked, knowing he had already left

Cosmos appeared before Squall "did a friend give that to you?" Cosmos said

"Cosmos we have heard your wish, and we shall fulfill it. With crystals
in our hands, we shall bring hope to the world" Warrior of light said as he walked but stopped

"and where do you think your going?" Garland said walking up to the warrior

"Garland" Warrior of light said in surprise

"Do you dare run from a battle?" Garland said

"I do not intend to run from anything." The warrior said as his shield and sword appeared in his hands

"Then let us start. Destiny is at hand. We might as well enjoy it" Garland said pulling out his huge sword and got into battle stance

Firion walked up to CLoud "I've been thinking about why we have to fight. But I'm finding it difficult to put into words. There is one thing I came up with. Convincing or not" Firion said taking out a wild rose

Just then a strong energy was up ahead of Onion knight and Terra. For the scared and timid Terra she would be against going there, but for the overconfident Onion knight who listens to him mind rather than his heart he would want to go there

 

Cloud looked at Firion. "What is that?" he asked his friend, a little curious.

"More like forced down my throat." Squall simply replied to Cosmos.

 

"How perfectly poetic. The mouse scampers off, but the monkey just keeps hanging around. Well, whatever. This should still be interesting, at least." Kefka said walking up to Zidane

"The wild rose. There's something I've been longing to see. That's the reason I want to end this conflict. Of course, that's all just still a dream." Firion said

"I can see it on your face, Squall. Do you regret not going with them?" Cosmos said

Withough a second thought both the warrior and Garland ran forward and slashed at each other. Both of their blades clashed and both slashed at each other trying to hit one another

 

Onion Knight took out his sword to protect Terra like he promised. They began to walk toward the energy.

 

Something was telling Terra not to go there. The onion knight was confident that they could handle anything up ahead

 

Squall looked away slightly. "I don't regret anything, I just...never thought anyone cared about me. Sympathy is a burden I don't need...But it would help to know someone's got my back....Perhaps I...shouldn't have turned down their invitation."

"Hey! Is this your doing? What did you do with Bartz?" Zidane asked the clown.

Cecil pondered about the Crystals as he was with Tidus.

"A dream?" Cloud asked Firion

 

"Yes. It's a dream I can't give up on. That's the reason I can keep fighting" Firion said with determination

"What's wrong with you, you noisy baboon? Too stupid to even get caught in a trap?" Kefka said

"No. You made the right decision. In order to obtain the crystal, one must fight the real enemy that dwells inside his heart. That enemy must be confronted alone." Cosmos said

Warrior of light and Garland were evenly matched in battle. Garland swung his sword down but Warrior of light was too fast and dodged and ran up and slashed at Garland

Garland moaned in pain and fell to his knee "You truly think that you can save this world?" Garland said

"That is precisely our mission. Our hopes have not been crushed yet." Warror of light said

"What a fool. What you hope for is nothing but an illusion. Pursue it, and it will run. You may draw near, but never obtain it." Garland said

"What?" Warrior of light said confused

"Eventually you will see. The truth behind this conflict... and the world will betray you" Garland said as he dissapeared

 

"Onion Knight, I don't think we should be here!" Terra told her companion, Onion Knight looked at her and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll protect you."

Tidus wondered to how the Crystals.

 

The moment they got there the energy began to control Terra once more to attack Onion Knight

 

Terra screamed and changed to her Esper form, attacking Onion Knight. He gasped and barely managed to defend himself.
