Tidus readied his sword, "Might as well do that."

"Please, the Emperor showed up before we could even start! But since I'm itching for a fight, how bout a rematch from earlier?"

 

Firion took out his weapons and got in fighting position

The emperor smirked as he waited for Tidus to attack

 

Jecht took out his sword and attacked Firion.

Tidus ran forward and slashed at Mateus.

 

Cecil had already responded to Firion's answer and at Tidus's persisitance, he left in search of his brother.

~

Cloud and Sephiroth immediately clashed swords in a struggle.

~

Squall stared at Ultimecia. "I abandoned my friends!?" He said in a quick response.

~

 

"Deep inside your heart, you trust no one. That is why you act alone, is it not? By now, Kuja should be having his way with Zidane and Bartz. And you did not even try to go save them. Does that not prove you think nothing of them? You're doing well. Such is life on the battlefield. Now, let me see...the strength of your pride" Ultemecia said

The moment Tidus took a step he was shocked by the floor and a huge magic ball headed straight towards him

Firion dodged and slashed with his spear

"So you've come, Cecil." Golbez said

 

Tidus gasped and got out of the way.

Jecht smirked and attacked him again.

 

Suddenly floating magical mines appeared behind Tidus as he jumped away

Firion continued to dodged and shot blizzard at him

 

Squall lowered his gunblade with eyes closed, saying nothing.

Cloud watched Sephiroth perform Octaslasha nd he immedately countered it with Blade Beam as Sephiroth slid down oen of the streams of the Crater and Cloud twirled his sword. "Stars, rain down!" he clale dout as Meteorain was performed.

Cecil stared him. "My brother, what did you mean about the Secret of the Crystals?" He asked him

 

Jecht dodged and turned to the Final Aeon, then attacked Firion.

Tidus gasped and attacked the mines.

 

The moment Tidus attacked the mines they exploded at him

Firion suddenly stopped fighting

"And why have you come all this way?" Golbez said and laughed "Most likely for the same reason. A brother cares for his kin. Cecil...I am here to gauge whether or not you are worthy of obtaining the crystal."

Ultimecia smirked "Has fear taken hold of you? I understand. I'll neither run nor hide. I shall be waiting until the time comes." Ultemecia said as she teleported away

 

"What's the matter? Too scared to fight me anymore?"

Tidus gasped for air after the mine exploded at him.

 

"I realized something as I fought you. The one you really want to fight isn't me. It's Tidus! Why use me as a substitute when you know he's determined to face you?" Firion said

The emperor smirked "Hatred alone will never yield the crystal. Your prayers shall be heard by no one." Mateus said as he disspeared and shocked him once more

 

"The Emperor says I can't fight him yet."

Tidus gasped and tried to stand up.

 

"Worthy!?" Cecil questioned Golbez.

Cloud blocked Sephiroth's incoming strike as immediately hit him hard as he followed him as the two exchanged blows in midair.

Squall looked at where Ultimecia once stood. "It's not as simple as you might think." He said to himself and walked on.

"I've always had the determination. If I fail, I'll lose everything I hold dear." he said as he stood before her tower. "I have only my own strength to rely on. That's enough."

Squall entered inside and walked up the ramp before crossing eyes with Ultimecia.

 

The laughter of the emperor echoed threw the room. it seemed he was gone now

"but why would you listen to him. Don't you want to fight against Tidus?" Firion said

"So you've come having abandoned your comrades only to satisfy your own desires." Ultemecia said

"Indeed. That is why--" Goblez said but stopped when he heard laughter

"Two losts souls, wandering in the dark. Or is this what they mean by brotherly love? I did not expect you to be bound yet to the other side, Golbez." Exdeath said walking up to them laughing "You are a fool and a coward, longing for the light!" He said

"It's none of your concern." Golbez replied

"On the contrary, feeble mortal. For it is I who shall punish those who betray us!" Exdeath said taking out his sword as Golbez gets ready to fight

 

"I won't let you lay a finger on him!" Cecil said as he got inbetween the two.

Cloud spun his Buster Sword around as he performed Finishing Touch upon Sephiroth who after teh blow, countered with Black Materia as Cloud side rolled in the center platform.

Squall stared at Ultimecia. "I only came to fulfill my promise. It's because of them that I can't allow myself to stop. I know that I'm not alone." He said clearly.

 

"Cecil!" Golbez said surprised


"Interesting. Then fight you shall." Ultemecia said

Suddenly Garland walked up behind Squall "Yes, against the two of us." Garland said

"Will you still feign bravery?" Ultemecia said

 

"Leave this to me my brother! So I can shwo you my strength!" Cecil said confidently.

"This is better for me. If I can defeat both of you, then it will make it easier for them. I'll prove it to you. We may be apart, but we still fight together!" Squall announced clearly

Zidane spoke. "Squall, that idiot!" Zidane whispered to hismelf, he arrived at Ultimecia's castle a different way whiel searchign for Bartz and Zidane tackled Garland as they ended up on a anotehr piece of floor, away from the ramp

"Trying to take the spotlight eh Squall?" Zidane asked him as Squall was surprised. "Zidane!"

"What? Do I need a reason to help someone? Why don't you just leave this big lummox to me!" Zidane prepared his Mage Mashers as Squall turned aroudn to Ultimecia. "He just doesn't get it..." he thought to himself and spoke. "But I can live with that, thanks for waiting so--." He prepared his Gunblade.

 

"Shall we dance?" Ultemecia said standing there

"So you challenge me without hesitation. You are quite the cocky one." Garland said getting up and took out his sword

Exdeath began to laugh "So you would willingly defend a traitor? You and your ignorance shall return to the Void!" Exdeath said

 

Jecht groaned. "He said I can return to my world with Tidus if I join him."

Tidus gasped for air and used a potion on himself.
