Firion looked at Cloud "Cloud mybe you should go out and look for your reason. It should be out there somewhere" Firion said

"Hmmm? Well, now, this is odd. He was here just a minute ago" Kefk said looking around for bartz

Warrior of light jumped up into the air as Squall charged at him and threw his shield at him

 

Bartz was trying to listen to the voices he heard, it sounded like one female and two males.

 

"You should go Cloud." Cecil spoke as he approached them with Tidus. "you too?" Cloud asked him

"Anyway, the one I'm after is Zidane." Kuja groaned. "I didn't even ask you to do this. Now you've made it harder to catch him." Kuja said to Kefka

Squall deflected teh shield witha swift movement and executed Aerial Circle towards the airborne WoL

 

Warrior of light could of dodged but took the attack and fell to the ground and slowly got up "You are strong. Don't you have any intention of using that strength to protect the others?" Warrior of light said

"But it looked like fun! No fair hogging it all!" Kefka whined

 

"Fighting together's not the only way." Squall said calmly as he pulls out the chocobo feather Bartz gave him.

"We can still help each other, even if we're apart. And whether or not I needed it, I received their support. So I'll return the favor in my own way. I have to carve out my path to change the situation." He answered, staring at the Warrior of Light.

"Though I suppose it would be foolish to let this mouse go to waste..." Kuja said, trailing off as he discussed his plan with Kefka.

 

Kefa laughed "A brilliant plan! And I know the perfect one to carry it out. Exdeath thats who. After all it was him who gave me that crystal" Kefka said

"I'm afraid I have misjudged you. I had assumed you preferred to be alone because you did not trust your comrades. You should continue down this road you have chosen. Eventually, all paths join as one. Do not forget. None of us are alone." Warrior of light said as he walked away

Firion looked at Cloud noticing he was ready "Just one thing when you find your answer, you come and tell us what it is" Firon said

 

Kuja argeed with Kefka's plan, he was surprised the clown had such a grand idea.

Cloud nodded. "Got it. That's a promise." He said as he walked off in a direction, leaving his group behind.

"None of us are alone huh..." Squall thought to himself as he continued on his own path.

 

Firion looked ahead at Tidus and Cecil "lets continue on" Firion said taking out his rose and looked at it as he walked

Exdeath was walking down pandemonium

Suddenly Cosmos appeared before Squall "Take up your sword, Squall. Are you finally strong enough to fight me?" Cosmos said as she suddenly changed into Ultimecia

 

Tidus followed the others with his hands behind his head.

 

"Ultimecia!" Squall said quickly on his guard as he summoned his Gunblade to his shoulder.

Cloud walked among the area of the final battle in Tidus's world. "Good to see you, Cloud." Sephiroth's voice was heard as he stood on a ledge in of Cloud as Cloud looked up.

"Sephiroth!" Cloud said quickly, knwoing his nemesis as Sephiroth assumed a fighting stance but Cloud did nothing.

Sephiroth was puzzled by this form of action and asked. "Why won't you take up your sword?", Cloud responded immediately. "Fighting you...would be meaningless. I'm tired of taking part in pointless battles."

"Then if you had a reason, you would fight anyone?" Sephiroth asked with curiousity. as Cloud bursted out from the question. "No! All I want is to believe in why I fight."

Sephiroth closed his eyes. "Nothing but a puppet." as Cloud stared at him "What?" as Sephiroth reopened his eyes. "Then let me give you a reason."

Sephiroth held out his hand and Firion's wild rose appears within it. "A dream is easy to nip in the bud. How pitiful. To live life hanging on to something this fragile..." Sephiroth said calmly as he drops the rose in front of Cloud

"It's Firion's wild rose...!" Cloud said in surprise as Sephiroth chuckled. "No... What have you done to them!?" Cloud demanded.

"So now you have your reason. Come after me." Sephiroth said as he turned around and teleports away. Cloud stood silent for a moment, then grunts as he picks up the wild rose and walks on.

 

Tidus walked around for his companions. "Cloud? Cecil? Firion? Where are you?!"

 

Firion sighed remembering that he lost to Sephiroth but shook it off. He had told Cecil not to go after his brother Golbez

Warrior of Light continued to walk on remembering a battle he had with Sephiroth earlier "I apologies Firion" Warrior of light said remembering defeating Sephiroth but failed to get back the rose

"I have been waiting for you... ...to obtain that level of ruthless determination" Ultimecia said

 

"The secret of the crystal..." Cecil said to himself as he was visited by Golbez about the crystal.

Cloud arrived in the Northern Crater after eliminating the Manikins in his way with ease as Cloud approached Sephiroth.

"I knew you'd come. You always do as you're told, don't you?" Sephiroth asked him as Cloud was surprised. "What?"

"You look for a reason because you don't want to be swept into a
fight..." Sephiroth started explaining. "But all you do is look. You do nothing to follow that desire. That is why you are so eager to make someone else's reason your own."

Cloud stared at him carefully. "What's your point?" He asked him. "Your companions could get hurt, yet they'd still have the will to continue their search. But what about you? You're nothing but a puppet that gets swept away, unable to make any decisions on its own."

Cloud was startled but spoke. "You're wrong! I just--"

"So...I'll continue to provide you with a reason-- every time you need one." Sephiroth said with a simple smirk.

"Shut up! I've had enough of being told what to fight for. I came here of my own will!" Cloud announced and summon out the Buster Sword

"All you've ever wanted was to cling to old memories." Sephiroth said he broke into a stance.

"You're the one who can't let go!" Cloud said and charged at him.

Cloud struck Sephiroth twice as Sephiorth easily parried the blows. "Sephiroth! It ends here." Cloud said with determination and struck him again and while Sephiroth blocked it, the force sent him through a piece of debris.

"Go back to sleep." Cloud simply said as he performed Braver, aiming to cut through Sephiroth who floated above the ground for a moment and stood as Cloud was surprised.

"Accept it." Sephiroth said as he blocked the attack and swung his Masamune, bringing a fierce barrage of sword slashes upon Cloud who could only defend himself with the Buster Sword's size and width. "I am the one, who guides you...forever." Sephiroth said with a calm toe and sent a particular powerful strike to Cloud as the said blonde was sent reeling back and onto the ground as his Buster Sword clanked heavily on the ground.

"If it's despair you want--Then I shall provide." Sephiroth said as he stared down at Cloud as he stared up at Sephiroth. "What I want most, I'll find myself." He stated as he picked up the Buster Sword and got into his stance as Sephiroth did once again.

"You're nothing but a puppet." Sephiroth said as he stared into Cloud's eyes as did Cloud to Sephiroth's.

Squall looked at Ultimecia, puzzled. "Ruthless?" he asked her.

 

"Are you alright? That was...Golbez, wasn't it? Isn't he sided with Chaos?" Firion said running up to him

"Yes, the determination to stubbornly follow your own path. The merciless heart that abandons friends! That is what will lead you to your crystal." Ultemecia said

 

"Well, never thought I'd see you around here." Jecht walked up to him, Tidus gasped and got ready to fight. "What do you want, old man?!" Jecht smirked and got ready as well.

 

"Silence" the emperor said appearing beside Jecht "your son stands before you driven by a fierce hatred. This does not aid us in our endeavors." the emperor said

 

Jecht grumbled and left them, Tidus glared at him as he left before turning to the Emperor. "What was that for?! I was all ready to beat him for good!"

 

"Do you hate your father?" Mateus said

"Hold on. You're Tidus's father, aren't you? What did you do to him?" Firion said

 

"I didn't do anything, yet........"

"I hate him more than anything! I want to defeat him and get my crystal!"

 

"Tidus has been looking forward to settling things with you. Don't tell me you ran from the fight." Firion said

The emperor took out his staff "I suggest you direct that aggression towards me." Mateus said
