Square-Enix Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy

Seeing Seymour and Yuna would be very intresting, though I doubt Semyour will be in it, since they already had Jecht as the FFX villian. Yuna would be awesome - her FFX-2 attire could be like a alt. form.
Seifer and Locke - I could see Locke happening, butnot Seifer.

 

Actually, if Yuna is going to be in Dissidia 012, I think her X-2 attire would be her regular outfit while one of her dresses would be a alternate form. I prefer if her summoner appearance could be her EX Mode or something.

 

Kinda stumbled upon this but, "New Assist Gameplay" title is self explanatory great addition I must say. Also it's great to finally see Kain and Lightning in action.

I just noticed that Cecil actually says Kain's name when he is summoned so I guessing characters will say something special when they are summoned with the right person

After watching I couldn't help but notice how still their opponents were being(not just during the freeze frame mind you >.>). So I was wondering, do you think they'll have a training/practice mode too?! That'd be awesome! It gets kind of annoying trying to figure out a character while under a constant assualt of attacks in Dissidia 1 >.<"

 

It could be player controlled in the video. Like there's two guys playing, one attacks while the other is still so they can show off all the moves or enough of the moves for what they need with the second guy moving and attacking a little bit to show some of reactions like dodging, counters, etc.

 

Well we are not getting Seifer or Rinoa. Who need them when we have the mother f****** man with the mother f****** machine gun

Anywho I've heard rumors that SE was going to release another character around the 15th or during Jump Feista... Hoping it's a villian this time ^^

 

Laguna's EX Mode is called Zenganhassha, meaning Full Salvo as he undoubtly uses firearms thrown at the opponent with the weapons he'll use in battle.

Still Laguna taking part in Dissidia is a real unexpected twist, Squall and Laguna never stay on the same screen for long, hwoever Laguna against Ultimecia does make sense since Ellone was kidnapped by Esthar Soliders by Adel's orders but Laguna intervened and sealed Adel into space, stopping Ultimecia's plan briefly but Raine already died by the time he saved Ellone so she was sent to Edea's home with the other children, namely Squall and Co as Raine also birthed a son with Laguna off screen and that was Squall, so Laguna is the father of Squall.

Father and Son fighting on the side of Cosmos, that's a new difference lol

 

I'm actually not that surprised about Laguna being added, from what I read on a few wiki-type sites and stuff he is considered a second, lesser protagonist and his party is supposed to be a contrast to Squall's. I think he was a pretty good addition for both plot (lol) and gameplay.

Although I completely hated FFVIII, this character has some class. (BIG machine gun, nice TN artwork)

 

Out of all the people who call Laguna Squall's father in this thread, you quote me who has no mention of him being Squall's father. Laguna will be interesting to the plot as he's a character from the past who, as far as I know having not played much FFVIII, effected Squall's party from the events of the past (not the butterfly effect either, just the progression of time). Besides, FFVIII is about time if I'm not mistaken, Laguna being the past, Squall the present and Ultimecia the future.

 

Vivi would be awesome to see. Every game needs a black mage :P

So far they've added all the characters that they wanted to put in the original but left out...so that means a chance of Yuna and Seymour.

But Yuna would probably be FFX Yuna rather than X-2. Unless she can change clothes by pressing L+R similar to Lightning.

From 13 is could be Sazh, since Nomura said he'd like to pick him over Lightning. But I'd like to see Hope tbh.

Great to see all of them, but after seeing both battles; I like Laguna's gameplay style most.

Fangirl moment aside, I really do like how the feints seem to work. Seems much easier than pressing R+X all the time which was annoying as hell.

 

Laguna certainly knows how to handle his weaponry lol, poor Lighting, all that CGI PS3 effects and such had no effect for a PS1character

Vaan also called Terra for assistance as well, this probably refers to that Vaan travels with Terra in 012 in a Locke-like way.

Tifa...hell yeah, I'm making sure I play her and get to understand her battle style!
