Square-Enix Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy

I hope there is at least a reference to Kingdom hearts, I mean final fantasy is all over Kingdom hearts so it seems only fair, haha.

I never realised they were making another one, this looks very good. One thing I really wanted in the first one was to be able to do a story with the bad guys but I know that's very unlikely to happen as it would mean the bad guys would have to win. If I'm to be honest, I don't know much about final fantasy because I don't play it (I don't like the battle system) but I'm looking forward to this, I'm just hoping it isn't postponed loads.

 

Agreed, he would be a epic addition to Dissidia 012, but I don't see how he could fit into the story. Maybe Final Fantasy should stick to Final Fantasy, which is the least I can say when there's alternate costumes for Cloud and Lightning, but those are just mentions to other SE games. Moving along. Did anyone else know that we can fight Sephiroth bare chested? 'Cause I didn't. XD

This game is looking so far so great.
The only thing I've been hoping for that currently isn't happening for Zack Fair and Genesis to be playable characters. Although Crisis Core is to FF7 as The Hobbit is to LOTR, I still think it would be pretty pleasing to fans to see this hero/villain duo to appear in a Dissidia game.

Most likely. I was just curious because she doesn't exactly have some sort a weapon. Such as Squall with his Gunblade. Tidus with his blitzball...etc

My guess is that it'll stay true to FFVII and have something to do with gloves. I mean her Limit is shown with her using Premium Heart, at least in the released images, so it'll probably be like how Cloud autoequips his Ultima Weapon when he enteres EX Mode.

Agreed, I can't wait to see her attacks as well. Same goes with Lightning and Kain.

Yes!!! - Vaan isn't my favorite character but I like the fact we get him in this game. FFXII rules. :P

Does anyone remember the issue with Lightning being in Dissidia Universal Tuning and it was fake? Y'know. This could be the Lighnting of Dissdia 012 fakes. If it's from Famitsu, I will believe and kill myself. Bathiler please next time. DX

I really doubt its fake. It came from Shonen Jump. Shonen Jump always releases a dissidia character while Famitsu adds more detail about the character.

Personally Vaan was obvious so I don't see anybody surpised. Both his English and Japanese voice actors gave hints to Vaan and Vaan is a popular character in Japan

I really don't mind Vaan in this game. From what I have heard he has become a pretty good character in Revenant Wings and from some videos I have seen with Vaan in Tactics Advance 2 he has become a badass. As long as he has this outfit I am fine with him:

He really is quite badass in A2, I use him every time. Though his character in FFXII was horrible. And now since I've checked, he is in Duodecim, confirmed by SE. Heh, no need crying over spilled milk. XD
And I've read that there will be at least 4 - 10 more characters to be revealed.

 

4 - 10? Well, now I really can't wait. Still hoping for Zack and Genesis, because I'm one of those "people with bad taste in games" who adores VII.

I hope they pick Angeal (i'd love to use him as the regular guy we all knew in the beginning of Crisis Core then for his Limit Break the wings come out!) or Genesis (same basic idea as Angeal). More FFXIII characters would be great too, maybe Snow and Hope.

 

As much as I love the VII universe, I really don't think they should go overboard. I'd like to see characters from earlier games, especially III, since it's actually a really good game (speaking by the American one). Onion Knight/Luneth was kind of annoying, and I would like to see Refia worked into the story somehow, if only for the sake of another female protagonist. Same with Yuna.
I really would like to see characters from older games though, and for them to suck less. :/

 

There is one. Cloud gets his KH1 outfit if you have BBS FM (how does that work, though? Does it look for save data on the memory stick, or do you get some sort of DLC code with FM, or what?). That's probably all we'll get though.

 

I doubt anyone else from FFVII will be added, maybe they'll have a bonus thing where you can have Cloud's appearance and dialogue change to be Zack but I can't see them adding another character from that series. Hopefully, someone from II (e.g. Leon, Josef or Minwu) and IX (e.g. Vivi) are added.

 

I will always hope they put Angeal, Genesis or Zack in there. Though I have no idea where Angeal or Genesis will be with Cosmos or Chaos. Vivi would be awesome; another FFII/III/VI character please, Locke would be good. =]

 

My guess is that Angeal=Cosmos and Genesis=Chaos
