Square-Enix Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy

This is what i got:

Air game:
Air dash closer to enemy> SHIVA. SHIVA. SHIVA. SHIVA. Seriously one of the best attack in the games. Doesn't stagger when blocked, has a fast startup and sets up for assists if close enough to the floor.
Sonic Wings is good f you wanna stay on medium range.
Impulse works if you wanna stay far away, doesn't seem very strong but getting hit by it is really annoying.
Mega Flare is the only HP attack you should bother using unless you don't have it, being too close while using it is also not very good.

Ground game:
Ifrit's the best attack at close and mid range.
Ixion's Aerospark is strong if you wait and use 3 pair of shockwaves, but somewhat hard to hit, and it gets worse if you're too close. Also slow.
Valefor's brave attack is pretty useless.
Energy Ray owns the AI and has an incredible range.
HellFire at close range is a almost guaranted hit, spamming it eventually hits anything.

 

Just spam a lot of attacks. I heard Yuna's Mega Flare is godsend against FC but I'm not sure as I didn't use her. But I can say Firion and WoL are amazing for him

 

I heard about the Iai Strike build but I figured it would take out the fun

@Terra, woah, that seems very simple. I haven't even got to that part yet but I can imagine I'll have trouble, I did in the first one.

 

I'm thinking of getting this and a PSP as a little gift to myself for my exams at the end of may...

But I'm often quite weak at fighter games so could anyone give me advice on who is the easiest to start off with for practice of the system?

 

My personal opinion would be Warrior of Light, most likely because his moves are kind of simple (at low levels anyway) and plus he's the one in the original you play as during the tutorial. In this one, you could try Lightning but she has a lot of different personas which would make things more complicated.

It sort of depends what you like, if you like speed then Zidane is a good bet, if you like magic then go with Yuna, if you like strength go with Warrior of Light. And if you don't know then just try anyone, you can set your opponent's strength to really low so it's easier to beat them if you want to practice and get used to it.

 

Just to note the FFI, FFIV and, FFXIII, music packs are out for $0.99 in the NA PSN

Also the heavens emperor outfit was only a matter of time...I wonder if they'll do Arc for OK too...or even Refia o_O (that would require a different voice track though)
Yuna will probably get her songstress outfit in the future and they could consider giving a Seifer skin for Squall.
I like how it's still building in terms of post release, that makes the game feel current and constant in a sense for fans.

 

i'm feeling both those costumes actually. i wouldn't spend money on them but they're still awesome.

i wish the PSN was back up, i really wanted to get the music DLC. does anybody know where to find a current US DLC schedule? all the ones i find online are badly outdated and there is none on the Square Enix website.

 

Turns out PSN is having a problem by an outside source it seems.

 

Honestly, in my opinion WoL really is a nice character for beginners or people who aren't all that good at Fighting games, he's balanced and even though some of his attacks are slow a bit of practice time really makes up for that tiny annoyance imo.

Also if you want balanced attack power and speed here are a few more good characters, all just good imo.
Tidus, Bartz, Zidane, and Vaan.

They've got nice attacks and they're good in terms of the ability to learn their moves quickly.

 

I think the best warriors to use to get used to ground moves would be Cloud and WoL while the best to get used to air moves would be Zidane and Tidus. Because of their mixed range of moves they make the player learn how to get the right ranges for attacks without having to attack to many times. IMO of course.

 

Feral Chaos help

I'm stuck fighting the lvl 95 Feral Chaos in the gateway between the 2 continents and I REALLY need help with beating him!!!!!!!!!!!! Any and all advice/tips will be taken!

 

make sure to have all LV100 characters. if i remember right he has 60,000 HP so each character is going to have to do about 10,000 damage if you want to win. i found it helps to have repeatedly use Branched Attacks. i remember i beat him by abusing Cloud's Defense Crush effect in EX Mode and was able to maintain EX Mode for a long time because of the ability "EXP To EX Force". others would probably suggest that "EXP To HP" is a better ability to use but it's up to you and what your style is.

 

PSN Down

You all know that the PSN is down. It has been hacked (to stop rumours). But I have heard from a reliable source that it should be up by next tuesday. Us that use the eu store will be able to get new kh sephiroth and the FFVII music pack, and the next day, Laguna's outfit and FFVIII music pack should be released.

 

just got Feral Chaos and his EX gauge doesn't seem to increase like normal characters can someone tell me the all the diffrences with him and other characters for exsample do you have to be in the edge of madness to use his EX maode?
