Well, It's the story of Dissidia, but they added the Duodecim variant of the board game to it. Depending on how you want to look at it, you either paid for a whole new game, or for an optional expansion pack to the original.

I was pretty annoyed at how Prologus costs £3. Was it free in America and Japan?

no, it cost me 3 dollars in America...as it did in Japan.

It was mostly an easy way for SE to get money from you...but they gave out an Aerith assist to give it credit.

I bought it cause I really wanted to try out lighting.

It's not really worth it for me personally. The game comes out in like 2 days here anyway, plus I don't like Aerith and probably wouldn't use her at all lol. What's her assist anyway? Healing or smacking the opponent with her rod weapon?

    It's £2.39 here. xD

I bought it since I'm away tomorrow for the weekend and won't get the full game till Monday. D:

Prologus is really only filling up your stock with chocobo cologne (As far as I can see at the mo), but since I can't get the game yet (Stupid Game postage!) it's well worth 2 quid. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. Hard Arcade takes ages to complete for one character so I hope it'll keep me entertained this weekend. =D

I have 26 at the mo but I'm gonna get 100% completion in the accomplishments before I play the actual game. I have to say, playing Hard Arcade on RPG-style is so much easier. I played Lightning and Cloud on the usual fighting style and it took me a while. RPG makes it a lot quicker - no need to worry about movement. xD I doubt I'll play the actual game that way though.

I have to say...that so far Duodecim has a much better story than the first. Plus the characters are much more developed.

They are the same from the first...but they just interact much much better.

I just got done with Yuna's first story chapter...it was a lot of fun.

It's basically a system that lets you make your own story modes. Lets you make scripts, set up win conditions for battles in that story mode, and a bunch of other things. It's a pretty nice tool for fanworks and such.

Oooh, I'll have to try that.

I personally haven;t started playing any of the stories, I've been getting used to the battle system again (it's been a while since I played the first one) and I was really enjoying that, even just the assist feature is fun to play with, and Lightning and her various techniques has interested me. I need to get used to her and find out how she works really but it's very entertaining. I enjoy playing as the other new characters, especially Kain Highwind and Vaan. I have to say, I don't understand how to use Laguna Loire because his gun is quite hard to use, that'll take some figuring out.

Overall, so far I'm enjoying it, just needs to be played a bit more.

You're having trouble with Laguna? I thought he was the cheapest character in the game. If you handle him right your opponent won't be able to move at all. It's all thanks to one of his default attacks that's basically a rapid fire gun for 5 seconds. Hope this helps!

I just started playing today and I lovelovelove Tifa's play style, I've already gotten her to level 17 8'D
But as expected...I'm really not liking the glorification Lightning seems to be getting, at least from the first chapter and a half I've played of Story Mode. :/
imo Dissidia should be about all of them with individual but intertwined stories, like the original, rather than throwing Lightning at you and forcing you to play as her for a good chunk of time.

I beat the game today and spent the better part of an hour and a half making an original quest. I've got to admit...it's so sexist that it makes me want to shed a manly tear. It was the only way I felt I could get some revenge on Lightning's character(and Shantotto for annoying me). Though I ended the quest with a battle between Firion and Warrior of Light which in itself is pretty manly.

I haven't played around with Gilgamesh or Prishe yet even though I unlocked them. Gilgamesh seems to have some pretty good moves if you disregard his randomness. If you put it in though...then he can range from being FRIGGIN' AWESOME to being sadly amusing. Obviously this fits in who he is. What amused me is that when he runs into
Squall, Zidane, and Vaan...they all feel like they would know him if he looked different. Gilgamesh walks away looking for Bartz only for Bartz to join the group and have the others if he knew a "scary guy in a red hood".

I think I'll play through 013(original Dissidia) again now that I've unlocked it until I get enough PP to unlock 000(some bonus story where you can fight Feral Chaos).

Did anyone select "I'm a master" at the very beginning of the game? XD I didn't because...I knew how that would end. I didn't feel like getting owned by Feral Chaos that early in the game.

What ticks me off is that I have to get my equipment back. >< And Summons...and Accessories...<< At least a lot of the stuff has a level 1 equip requirement. I've heard that each characters ultimate weapon(s) are also like that. Which is good since the one of the easiest ways to beat Feral Chaos is to adjust your level to at least 90 below his then equip some booster accessories. I've seen a level 1 Kain do ridiculous damage against him. @-@ Same with Laguna.

Overall, I'm not sure which new character I like best. Kain lets me be aggressive as hell in a fight, Lightning sadly seems to have one too many guard stagger moves(leading her to be a bit cheap at times), Laguna is a great character and is fun to play as, while Vaan is a beast at mid/close-range combat(and is likable in Duodecim).
