Rapunzel's concept art Not to big on it being CGI, being as I dreamed of a Rapunzel adaption ever since I was a child, and it seems disney sucks with CGI. But it seems like they are actually putting alot of love into it.
Sounds like the artwork will be something like Prince of Persia (2008). At least...that's what it's reminding me of even though it'll be pretty different. The whole..."girl power" thing is...eh...I dunno about that snce I've rarely seen good strong female characters but this movie is something worth looking forward to...I think.
Rococo? Seriously? It is one of the most shallow movements in the history of painting. It had some social issues but it was mainly all about modern style and wealth. Mixed feelings about this one, but i'm very curious to see how this will work. also, i'm not a big fan of that painting... although Fragonard was quite huge in his time..
Mulan. Pocahontas. Anyway, I do love traditionally animated Disney, but that concept art looks really pretty imo. I was never in love with Rapunzel or anything as a child though. I'm shocked it took them this long to make a movie, haha. I'm hoping the final result of their animation will be as pretty as they sound. :]
True. Mulan=badass. Anyhoo, I'm iffy on this. It looks pretty in stills, but I don't know how it'll translate into moving pictures. And they just got back to the old 2D animation with Princess and the Frog (which was bomb, imo), and now here they go back to CGI. It sorta feels like a slap in the face to all of us who like the 2D movies.
Heard online that Disney are going to make the Snow Queen in 2012 2D and with Princess and the Frog's success they want to keep on making 2D movies every three or so years.. Does anybody think that the main picture of Rapunzel looks like a Barbie Doll ? Or a Disney version of one ??
...Huh. Interesting. I might go see it. Concerning art style, Disney said about half a year ago that they were going full 3D for everything. They need to make up their frickin' minds.
Well it's about 10 million times faster to animate using CGI than to use their traditional 2D style. Surely you can understand why they'd be reluctant to say that they were going to do 2D movies in the future when they didn't know how well that Princess & The Frog would do. If it flopped at the box office and movies like Up just continued to do well, then it makes sense for them to continue making movies in 3D rather than 2D.
This looks really good so far. :D It seems they're putting a lot of work into this. I like they're not "modernizing" the story, I don't like it when they do that... unless they did a good job. I know, I'm "old fashioned" XD Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Awesome! I've been waiting for quite a while for this teaser to emerge to the surfaces. It does seem pretty good... I'd like to see how the whole film fares out.. If it is better than we had anticipated, we will definately be in for a treat. (:
Well gee, that was a waste of a few seconds. I'd like to see a real trailer. :| Still, it looks quite pretty and I like Mandy Moore as a voice actress.
Interesting. i like how it looks. It's more on the traditional cartoon style. "i don't believe in magic" lol fairies appeared.
I am warming up to the animation, But I really don't like it how in the beginning she is like a ninja :/ Oh well I guess I will have to see this.
