I just saw this last night with my little sister, and I was kinda surprised.
I thought it would be about a girl who refused to be pushed around and forced to marry some random suitor. Which it was, but there was a lot more to it.

Her relationship with her mother is a very understandable one, and I feel that a lot of people nowadays lgbt be able to relate to it in one way or another.

Like people above have said, it was kind of a more "serious" or mature story..but Pixar added the beautiful charm to it that draws in children.

I wouldn't tell everyone, "It was such a great movie!! You must watch it!!" but if you want to, go for it. It's worth it IMO. I didn't think it was amazing but it was cute, heartfelt, and touching.

I still have to see this, but it's a fairly radical departure for Pixar. It's a fantasy movie. They haven't done one before, and it's supposedly darker, so i'm very interested in seeing how they work with that.

I wasn't sure about this movie at first, the characters just don't interest me. But I've heard a lot of good things about it, so I'm going to have to give it a shot.

I think the main character, at the very least is interesting. She's basically one of the feminists I keep hearing about.

Brave was an absolutely wonderful movie! I wouldn't listen to a thing those critics say, I'm not sure why people do. It's a very warm and heartfelt movie, and the characters are humorous and the story is, well, magical. I was completely taken by surprise by what happens in the movie, and I think I even cried at then it.

I think that you should definitely watch it, and you won't regret it.

aiight sweet, thanks for the input. i rarely trust the critics because there have been multiple times where they totally trash a movie and i see it and love it!

It sounds like an interesting movie. I want to watch it. The trailers and teasers seem fun.

So I saw this movie a while ago now and I was fairly disappointed. It didn't have that Pixar spark. Sorta like with Cars, although not as bad. It was missing an element that would have made an average movie into a great movie. It didn't work out like Up or Wall-E. The humor was way too cartoony for a film as this, so that was also rather disappointing. All the jokes were cliched and so on. It wasn't bad, but I expected more of a Pixar film.

I agree, I kinda think Pixar kinda flubbed up on this one, like you said it was cliché, I mean, it wasn't a baaaaad movie, but with Pixar you've come to expect some sort type of quality, and this one did not deliver at all imo.

Saw it and I agree it wasn't the best. It was good but not my favorite Disney movie.

I was very excited for this movie. I loved the supposed concept behind it, AND IT'S FREAKING SCOTTISH (because that makes it the best movie ever made inb4braveheart)

And then when I saw it...I was taken aback. I really did not expect it to turn into Brother Bear half way through, but the development the characters went through there was very convincing and heart warming. Though I have to admit it was incredibly predictable.

All in all though, it was a good movie. Not what I was expecting, but hey, it made the Americans think that Scotland houses witches who make pies that turn people into bears, so that's cool.
