Now can we start the "Darth Vader vs Xehanort" theories? lol Joking aside i don't think it is anything bad, i mean Marvel is the same, nothing changed. As for the new films i can't say i'm excited, it is definitely milking but as long as they true to the Star Wars universe/feeling i'm ok.

Best established? Try best ruined, the Star Wars movies have become laughing stocks with all the edits and recuts and remasters over the years.

no. it's not okay. As I said Star Wars is such a huge part of american culture, and with the 3 prequels that were made in the past decade being received so negatively by the fans, how is going back and adding more to original the original 3 not a bad thing?

I don't know anything about Star Wars outside of the films, but unless there are good stories to adapt where the films would take place, there better be a massive time skip because there was nothing to do. I know there is an absolute shitton of books, surely some of those are at least half decent, adaptable stories.

    wahhh : '''(

Star Wars is already negatively known as one giant cash hog, and whos to say that these next 3 wont be good? Sure it most likely won't have the charm of the original trilogy but lets not act like its the end of the world here.

    ^This.

I'm pretty sure it's been exaggerated, but I'm sure that Disney won't be completely all hands over the franchise. I believe that they are more on the producing side of things.

So I think that it will be just like it was before, only with more producing capabilities.

The problem is not Disney, the problem is that anything is being done at all.

Like we actually expect George Lucas to not do anything else to Star Wars
