I also believe that theory Xehanort's Revenger so take that all you. We got 2 people!

But please no 'Xehanort is Terra' crap. Yes, looks I know I know, I saw the cutscene too you know. You fight Terra after the battle with Xemnas. Xemnas was the last known being of Xehanort, yes Chasers have been introduced but none of the pieces perfectly line up. (And a heads up, don't say that Terra was released from some prison of Xemnas' when he dies. Just don't)

Terra seems to give off a quality of fight now think later. Terra's personality can not just change off the bat and now he's a thinker. Darkness doesnt do that.

Ven seems to have the most qualities of Xehanort to me (don't call me crazy yet). Ven chose Way to the Dawn, correct? Or was it the dark keyblade? I think it was Way to the dawn but anyway... Ven has a connection with the darkness because he took a half dark blade, making him more prone to darkness than a light wielder.

When Baldy released that energy of darkness, Ven must have flipped (not literally, he was frozen) That much dark energy must have done something, it made Terra (light) have the evil eyes and we really don't know what happened to the other two. For all we know, the armor makes a Chaser and the dark force was too much for Aqua so she was seperated from her second power source. Thus only armor.

This is in addition to why I believe Ven is Xehanort and Terra is not:
    1) If Terra is Xehanort, then where the hell is Ven? A character as important as him just doesn't disappear off of the face of the earth. And no, Ven did not die in the battle.
    2) As I said before, Terra can't be in the prison room with Aqua and Fight Sora. Besides, the man that was talking to Aqua's armor was Xemnas, indication that he knows about the past. In addition, once someone becomes a nobody, the original body is destroyed. If Xehanort died and beared a heartless and a nobody, then how can Terra, who you believe is Xehanort, still be alive? Explain that for me with evidence.
    3) With this in mind, how can Terra say "It must have been...Xehanort..." if you are saying that Terra is Xehanort. A person won't curse their own name.
    4) As I have already explained, the portraits of Xehanort in Ansem's study were painted long after Ansem the Wise rescued Xehanort from death's door.

First off, let me remind everyone that this is a discussion, not a debate that yeilds a winner, so don't shoot down other people's ideas...we all saw the same secret ending, so there is no way to be sure at the present who is correct...there is no reason to mock an idea just because you don't agree.

    Anyway, on to my point.

I don't concretely think that Xehanort is Terra, that was just a random speculation. I am however, almost positive that Xehanort is not Ven. So instead of exploiting my theory, I'll play devil's advocate and say why I believe that your theory is incorrect. Please hear me out:

It is true that we don't see Ven in the game, but this is not proof enough to assume that he is Xehanort. Remember that Aqua is seen in a flashback, not in a current time, so for all we know, she could be dead already. The same thing goes for Ven: it isn't required for Sora to meet all of the Soldiers. That would be like saying that in kh1fm, since Sora met Xemnas, he must have also met the other twelve organization members. Terra stands out the most among the Enigmatic Soldiers, (please don't call them Chasers, there's is absolutely nothing that insinuates the three are cakked Chasers. At this point, there official title is "Enigmatic Soldiers" or "ES's") almost as a leader. Like Xemnas, it would be only fitting that the leader would meet with Sora.

A good point, I'll admit, but it's not flawless. It's not true that the original body is destroyed when some one becomes a Nobody, at least not in ALL cases. Just think about Sora and Kairi, they both have Nobodies, yet they both still are human. A human and their Nobody can be in two seperate places, so who's to say that Terra didn't some how regain his human form, just as Sora and Kairi did. And if Terra went through a similar transformation as Riku, then Xehanort wouldn't be his true human form. So it's possible that his heartless and Nobody resembled Xehanort, yet was still able to return to his original human form.

Once again, this is provided that Terra underwent a similar transformation as Riku. Not much is known about Xehanort, we only see him in one cutscene, and only breifly. He could've been an evil person at the time of the Keyblade Wars, or maybe even an evil concept or presence, which Terra gave a phisical form. Like Riku, Terra could've chosen that form so he could use the power of darkness, so even though he transformed into it, doesn't necesarily mean that he has to like it. Think about Riku, he was ashamed to have the form of Xehanort's Heartless. In any case, the Xehanort that we have seen aparently lost his memories, so if it IS Terra, he wouldn't be able to remember anything about his past. The Secret Ansem Reports describe Xehanort as having almost super human abilities. So even if his memories were wiped out, he would still have the power he had from before.

I don't see what you're getting at with number four.

    o_O Uh...It's not a contest... =_=;

Another good point, but lest we forget, it was Riku who was originally destined to get the Keyblade of light, but he stepped into darkness just as he was about to recieve it. Ven seems to be very kind-hearted, with absolutely no evil intention. We saw he was the first to make a move toward "baldy," and you can tell by his possture that it was for protective reasons that he attempted to lung towards him. Terra nudges him to stay back, and although this seems noble and caring, (which it is, to some extent) there is something about it that says "this is my fight," and as he dashes and jumps towards the two guys, you can see that his only motive is to cause them harm. When Terra is attacked later on and his arm frozen, he only becomes angrier. While when Ven is attacked, there is only fear in his eyes, which shows he only cares for his and his comrad's safety, and couldn't care less about the outcome of the battle. Terra is the one who's eyes turn orange from what is most likely, darkness. In the last shot of seeing Ven, there is absolutely nothing that suggests that he will turn evil. So if anyone is turning evil, it's Terra. How do you guys explain his eyes turning orange (not a retoricle question, I seriously want an answer)?

This isn't supporting any specific point, but I'd still like to draw it people's attention. When not dual-wielding, Ven prefers to use his left hand. That might help uncover something, although I haven't been able to find anything out...

Also, in the scene prior to the fight with Terra, when sensing Sora's presence, he says, "Aqua...Ven..."Why would he assume that it's Ven if Ven had transformed into Xehanort? I know that isn't exactly a concrete point, but it certainly helps to disprove it.

I know it's long, sorry ^^; but please read the whole thing. I believe that my points are coherent to say the least.

    Ok, let's put together a good answer to X's Avenger's points :

    1) Like iwantedtoexplode said, the fact that Ven doesn't appear in the game, doesn't mean he is Xehanort. I'd say you're jumping to conclusions. Plus, if you look at "The New Headquarters" Final Mix cutscene, you'll hear Xigbar (who according to Nomura already met or saw the 3 knights) say that there is a "friend" in the Room of Sleep, to who Xemnas speaks often, and another "friend" in the Room of Awakening. We can safely assume the friend in the Room of Sleep is Aqua, and that the barren wasteland in which you fight Terra is not the Room of Awakening. Therefore, to answer your question, Ven is probably locked in the Room of Awakening, the location of which is apparently still a mystery.

    2) I'm afraid I can't prove to you that Terra and Xehanort share the same body. However, here are the facts :
-Xehanort (and therefore his Nobody and Heartless) looks a lot like Terra. And he doesn't look much like Ven.
-Xehanort gave birth to a Heartless and a Nobody, so unless you can prove otherwise, he had a body, a mind and a heart.
-We have met Xehanort's Nobody, his Heartless, and we have also met Terra's armor. For all we know, it could be empty, just like Aqua's : if Xemnas talks to it, maybe her spirit (her memories or her heart) still inhabits it and is able to communicate. Maybe Terra's spirit (his memories or his heart) haunts his armor and is able to move it.
-It's true, there's not much supporting the theory that Xehanort was originally Terra, apart from the physical appearance. But there's even less facts supporting the theory that Xehanort was originally Ven.

    3) I don't think Terra is Xehanort. He can't be, since Nomura stated all the characters in Birth by Sleep are new characters. None of those characters can be Xehanort. However I believe Xehanort is Terra's body and mind, but without his memories. Along with the memories go all previous experiences, all those things that formed his personality. Therefore when he was found in Radiant Garden, his life started anew : he was another man.

The Lingering Sentiment (the Terra Sora and the party encountered) can be seen as a ghost, wandering in the world of the living until he is ready to really die. Xehanort is not the same person as he was, he's even a completely different man : after all, he gave in to darkness and became the main antagonist. It would seem normal for Terra to hate the man who used his body for evil.

    4) That's true, and since the keyblade war ended something like 10 or 20 years before KH1, it's possible that Ven, after becoming Xehanort, grew up and therefore looked different. But how do you explain the similarities between Terra and Xehanort ?

    5) "Most likely"...you have a keyblade to support this : the Way to the Dawn represents the balance between light and darkness, and Ven wasn't even seen with it in Birth by Sleep. You make an honest point with the "history repeating itself" theme, but like iwantedtoexplode said, it was Terra's eyes that turned yellow.

This color is a synonym for the taint of darkness. Ansem the Wise stated in his reports that the use of the Corridors of Darkness was dangerous, that it would expose the individual to darkness. The color of his eyes changed after his exile ; Xigbar, Saïx, Xemnas and Xehanort's Heartless also had yellow eyes. And this color is probably the reason Riku blindfolded himself : to hide the fact he was tainted.

If Terra's eyes turn yellow, it means either he's being corrupted, or that he's about to use darkness as a weapon of last resort in this desperate fight. If some part of him indeed became Xehanort, this taint would explain why he became so evil.

About the left-handed thing...Terra is right-handed, Ven seems to be left-handed. Since Xemnas uses two weapons, we can't say if he is left or right-handed.

Ok, I'm shooting in the dark but...could the Corridor of Darkness be the location in birth by sleep? Yes yes, I know, how can it be if you go there? But I am convinced (to a point) that Baldy released a huge ammount of dark force and tainted that world. But could he taint the ENTIRE world. I might have mistaken this but I believe I saw stormclouds out there where you fight Terra, I don't know, but could that be the CoD? I doubt it but I'm trying to brainstorm right now

We don't know how the Corridor of Darkness works, but since it's a teleportation effect it probably functions like all similar effects. I can think of three ways to teleport :
    - the Seth Brundle way : destructurate yourself down to a microscopic level, move yourself to the desired location and restructurate yourself there, just like in The Fly. Very unlikely for the Corridors, because it wouldn't allow transdimensional travel (and the Organization members are able to travel between the Light and Dark Realm).
    - the quantum physics/Phantom Lady way : to collapse the distance between to points in space and then restore it once the teleportation is completed. Very unlikely because it's too damn complex.
    - the D&D way : to open a door to another dimension (in D&D the Astral Plane) and go in. Once you're there, open a door to the dimension you just came from ; this door leads to the desired location.

It's obvious the third way is the most probable : a Corridor of Darkness is probably a pathway into the Dark Realm then back to the Light Realm. That's why it is dangerous to use it, since it means frequent exposure to the darkness.

You know... in the Deep Dive trailer I read some of the text that flashes by; I read "Nobodies = the third enemy". It made me wonder... third enemy? Heartless, Nobodies, ???
    Hm...

Okay this is far in left field, but what if the 3rd enemy is corrupted Keyblade Masters?

I think I remember Nomura saying this "third enemy" were in fact the Disney villains (Pete, Maleficent, Jafar and co.). The question that has been going on is "Is there a third special being aside from Nobody and Heartless ?".

Many people believe the Chasers would be this third type of being, and the foremost theory is that they're beings formed from memories. However, if you remember Chain of Memories, Naminé explained that memories can't be erased or lost : they are just links of a chain, that she is able to rearrange. Then again, it's true Xehanort lost his memories of the time before Radiant Garden so...we're far from any certainty.

I base my theory on the fact that Namine's sketch has Heartless Emblemm Nobody Symbol and anotherr symbol. While Looking in my Kh2 Stateggy guide I saw a cleare picture that has the 3 symbols. The Third symobol was used in evry Non-Heartles/Nobody Enemies such as Hayner Cloude etc.

I know what you're talking about, but no that is not an important symbol. It is merely an emblem indicating that the person is a boss. It's not like Cloud or Hayner are enemies.

I was saying that maybe Xehanort didn't always look like the portraits portrayed him to be.

    Now on to your theory:
First off, excellent job. I'm pretty much convinced. What really got me was Kanji's point that adressed where Ven was. I didn't realize that Xigbar said that. If I did, I wouldn't have bothered to make my accusation. Disregard my claims that Ven is Xehanort. But hey, you never know...Nomura might pull a Hoodini on us...

I believe that the new enemy has already been released, but no one really noticed it. There was a trailer for the new KH series at the Tokyo Game Show that had Terra, Sora, and Roxas in it. Behind them, the word "Dis-Soul" appeared. I believe that dis-souls are the new enemies.

    Here is why:
When a person becomes a slave to the dark, a heartless and a nobody are born.
Heartless crave hearts, and Nobodies crave bodies. As we all know, the human body is made up of more than just that. So I ask this: where does the person's soul go? I believe that the term "Dis-Soul" is short for discarded soul. I'm fairly certain that these are the new enemies. If these are the new enemies, you can bet that they will crave souls.

In regards to the chasers, I believe that everyone is going the wrong way. I'm not bashing your theory, but i'm merely "putting in my two cents."

If you look at a dictionary, a definition for "chaser" is "one who forges steel weaponry." I felt a light bulb turn on out there :D. I believe that the chasers are actually the ones who created the keyblades. Just a theory.

Maybe it's a symbol for neutral people? I don't believe it's for bosses. Hayner and Cloud and the like, you do fight but more as practice than anything. They are not Heartless or Nobodies. What is the other symbol? A crown? Maybe it's just for people who exist only, as a neutral human.

Xehanort's Avenger - Not all of our info. is 100%, please don't speak so matter-of-factly. The symbol you say has no meaning, you don't know for certain. Why would they put it in the game if it has no meaning?

I know that my info isn't 100%, but this I know. It was just an emblem to, just as you said, show the reader that it is a neutral boss. By the way, the creaters of the Brady Games Kingdom Hearts II guide have already said that the emblem was just used as something to SEPARATE the evil bosses from the good ones, nothing more.

By the way, this is for certain, there was already an article discussing it. So for now, I will speak "matter-of-factly."

I found it interesting that you used the word "another." In addition to spelling "no heart" when the letters of Xehanort's name are rearranged and the "X" taken out, it also spells "another." Now, I know this is no evidence, but it certainly doesn't hurt the theory that Xehanort was/was part of Terra.

I must commemorate you, Xehanorts Avenger, for looking up the word "chaser." I thought about doing it, but never got around to it ^^; so I just assumed it meant, "one who chases" ^^;;;; Well, now we know that it's some one who works with steel, so I think that it's pretty safe to assume that a chaser made Keyblades. Well, at least as a primary theory, anyway.

Yeah, well, about that symbol, I'm pretty sure that it's for enemies that are not Heartless or Nobodies. That's what the strategy guide said. But don't get me wrong, I'm a believer in the Dis-soul theory.

    I think we may finally be getting somewhere. Lol watch us be completely off ^^;

The idea that chasers are keyblade-makers is very interesting, even though we've got no actual clue or information on them at this point.

About Dis-souls...I've always had this problem with it : Nobodies are bound to be a body and a mind. It would imply that there's a heart, a body, a mind and a soul...If the heart governs emotions, the mind governs intellect and memories, what's left for the soul ?

What I gather from the Secret Ansem Reports is that the soul gives life. That's basically it, and without it you're dead. I don't think it actually does anything.

Thank you very much for the compliment.

In regards to the symbol, it is just to, as you said, seperate the regular bosses from the heartless and nobodies. The symbol means nothing more.

In regards to my dis-soul theory, i'm pretty sure i'm right on. The Dis-Souls are most likely created when a person is subdued by the dark. As I said, a heartless (who craves their original heart) and a nobody (who is in need of their original body) is created when this occurs. As I asked before, where does the soul go? This is probably what a dis-soul is -- a discarded soul.

Ok, sorry for taking up a late subject but I have 'proof' that Xemnas could be Ven.

X's Avenger, you're gonna like this.

Well to start with I was beating KH2 again and when I battled him in final mode I realized that his laser things are set out of his LEFT arm and then fired. And also when you kill him he puts his LEFT arm forward. If you were dying wouldn't you put your strong arm out? Yes, you would have.

You had me going there for a few seconds, but alas, it's been disproved. It's true that he fires with his left hand, but I've discovered something. In the battle with the enigmatic man, Xemnas first pulls out only one weapon, before moving on to two. It happens to reside in his right hand. So if my theory is correct, he prefers to use Phisical attacks with his right hand, and magic attacks with his left hand. This would explain why he held out his left hand before his death, perhaps hoping to conjure up a sheild.
