Actually, if you look at the last news on the KH project, there's a hint that the protagonist will be either Sora, Roxas or Terra.

It's gotta be Terra. He seems to be the character with the strongest background (his eyes and all) but with the similarity Ven has to Roxas, Ven will be a close second

Oh. Alright got it. Sounds interesting.

And thanks. I think the same.

Wouldn't you like to think that... For all we know it could be the opposite because of those eyes.

    ... so...?

... He looks more like a younger, shorer-brown-haired Xehanort then Leaxus.

edit: He's got a name, by the way, and it's Terra.

    There's something strange about those warriors XD don't know... they remind me power rangers XD It's not likee kh1's secret ending, that IMPRESSIONED me, really, making me wonder about the second chapter. Maybe it was better for kh saga to finish off with the second chapter, I hope this third chapter will not be out of kh style, as it seems to be ;_;

It looks like it's going to be Teen, but I've been wrong before. Baldy looks tough, no seriously, I wonder if it will be like this in the game, he looks strong in the Preview but is he really that strong in the next game? Reflect or whatever protects you is going to be important in the next game and I'm going to do the highest level to see the Trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3.

To me, he looks more lik Loz

I'm going to guess that you didn't see the Final Mix secret ending, because I felt that way after seeing the regular secret ending, too. And also, It's not the thrid chapeter, that will come later. This is more like a prequil.

    Nope! ^-^

Okay, I haven't posted here in a while, but I do have some new theories that I came up with in my spare time. And trust me, I was really bored. I have no proof or any idea where these came from (I think I was reading the CoM manga) so any feedback would be helpful.

    1) Could Ansem (DiZ, not Xehanort's Heartless) be a Chaser in his own right? He seems to know a lot more than he professes. (Yeah, this one's totally off base)

    2) Is a Chaser not only the embodiment of memory, but also the embodiment of emotions, thoughts, and personality as well? I know I got this idea from the manga. A Heartless is a being that represents the darkness in one's heart. A Nobody is the empty shell left behind. Therefore, a Chaser can't be just memories. It has to contain the rest of it's being, including the personality, emotions, etc.

I had another one, but I think I lost it. I'll post it as soon as I remember.

Yay, you've brightened the thread! :D

Roxas, without Sora's memories, does have a slightly different personality. So I could see the third piece of a person being memories/personality/spirit/soul. Nomura's odd use of term soul can fit personality, memories, individuality.

    Aww! Thanks! I try.

Good point. Roxas differs from Sora, not only because of his wanting to be different from his Other, but because of that very reason that you mentioned. And yeah, Nomura-san does have a way of screwing with us.

I remembered the other one I was going to write down:

What if the man wearing the Heartless Outfit in "Birth by Sleep" is actually the Riku Replica from CoM?

This theory can be completely destroyed if I find out that the replica was killed in the game itself.

A Heartless is not only made from the heart's darkness, it is the heart, enslaved by darkness ; the heart produces emotions and such. It's because they lack hearts that Nobodies do not experience emotion.

A Nobody is the body and mind left behind : the mind means the memories, the intellect and thus the personality. The only Nobody we have seen who lacks memories is Xemnas, and yet he had a personality and a very developed intellect (since he designed the Organization's plan). Yes he lost his memories and his personality before he was found in Radiant Garden, but between that time and KH2, he had a new life, new memories and was able to build a new personality for himself.

The emotions are with the heartless, it's just that the heart, corrupted by darkness, only experiences negative feelings and instincts. The personality remains with the mind and memories, but it is altered by its new existence : some Nobodies become cold and cruel (such as Saïx), others are cynical and manipulative (such as Xigbar) and others build themselves a more cheerful personality, in order to replace their hearts (such as Demyx).

Members of the Organization all have a strong personality, because otherwise they would be plain, hollow husks like the other Nobodies. It is what makes up for their lack of heart, at least partially.

If Chasers indeed are beings made of memories, then they have a personality of their own, made from those memories, just like a normal person builds his personality from his experience and emotions.

Well as far as I know, when Riku defeated him, the Replica seemed to fae away in a pool of darkness. Maybe he was destroyed, maybe he simply faded away : that's a very practical death, scenaristically-speaking, since it allows the author to bring him back.

The bottom line is we don't know what happened to the Riku Replica exactly, but it seems he was destroyed.

I kept watching over and over seeing if there was anything i could say for sure and well its hard too. if its a prequil then it would make sense. Like Ive seen reviews said, the chraracters are not the ones we know BUT it doesnt mean they are not related to them. Sora's greeeeeeeeeeeeeeat grand Father? Mother? Brother? I have know clue.. grand brother sounds weird anyways. But I think the creators are having the time of thier lives watching us debate (not just this forum everyone) on the therioes and stuff. They are probably giggling like crazy saying to one person, oh your far off or, your kinda close but not there yet. It drives me mad! x.x anywho i don't want to lose sleep over it lol. Tho I will be researching it in my freetime

^ Yes, we've discussed the idea of them being related but as Nomura has said, they're connected, not related. It's good to have another person aboard. I've been busy lately and haven't been able to think on this some more. It sort of died, anyway. Maybe a new theory will push it back.

I've just spotted a very interesting thing, during the cutscene fight between Sora and Roxas : our dear number XIII says, just before he lunges at Sora "Tell me...Tell me why he picked you". Notice the "he".

When I first saw this cutscene, I didn't pay attention to it and assumed Roxas was talking about the keyblade, since it chooses its master. But then I noticed Roxas didn't way "why it picked you", but "why HE picked you". Now who could he be talking about ?

Let's just look at what Terra says right before you fight him in Final Mix. I don't remember exactly, but I seem to recall him mentioning you are not the one he chose. Though his speech doesn't make much sense, it seems that he first confuses you with someone he chose and met before, but then realizes it's not you. Could Roxas have been talking about Terra when he said "he" ?

We don't know much about Roxas' time with the Organization, but it's possible that during his quest for more knowledge about his origins he got interested in the keyblade. Maybe he stumbled on information about the keyblade, and about Terra, Aqua and Ven, the keyblade war and so on. An information he may have discovered is that keyblades don't actually choose their masters : they are bestowed upon them by the former members, like passed on as a legacy. It would explain this whole idea that Terra picked someone.

We also know that Riku was first chosen by the Light Realm keyblade, who then picked Sora when Riku opened his heart to darkness. This is also consistent with a problem : in Sunset Horizons, Terra picks up the Light Realm Kingdom Chain, even though his name links him to Riku, who posesses Way to the Dawn. Could it be that Terra was the Light Realm keyblade's original master ? That he originally bestowed it upon Riku ? It would explain why he seems to confuse Sora with the one he chose, since Sora's carrying a keyblade that was originally not meant for him.

Most of those are information and theory that have already been discussed and developed, but Roxas' line supports this theory of Terra being the one behind the keyblade's choice. The keyblade's nature was never explained, and it's very possible that there is an intelligent mind behind its power and behavior. It would also explain the voices Sora hears when he is on the Station of Serenity.

I think it's time we consider this theory more seriously. What do you think of it, and do you have further information to support or criticize it ?

When I heard that line I thought Roxas was talking about Xemnas because by ruining Sora's life via destroy heartless that Roxas was effected too. Then saying 'oh, thats why' because Roxas realizes that Sora is (unfortunetly) the best keyblade master and is also easily controlled to help others.

    Got it memorized?

But yes, you've made me remember that line. And plus since I finally know at least something that Terra said (cause I have no idea what he says in that battle) I see what you are talking about.

Light has been shown on our faces! We may actually have something!...Until Nomura tells us wrong which he'll probably do...

Just thought of that voice that you hear when youre training at the beginning, you know, the Awakening thing. Could Terra have left a 'guideline' or something, thus reasoning out why Terra thinks they've met before.

    Right on, Kanji.

That scene you linked is perfect.

It's not all that hard to understand:

"Aqua... Ven..." He senses Sora and gangs presence and then Sora's blade poofs in attack mode. Terra realizes there's a keyblade, "Keyblade..." Then he thinks, this person is a chosen one with a keyblade, so expectedly he asks, "... who are you?"

Then blah blah blah, he's met Sora before, but wait, no, it wasn't Sora, he thought it was someone else that was like Sora... That someone else was who Terra chose.

But then he throws me off by saying, "Why isn't it him... Xe...ha...nort..."

Terra could be asking Xehanort a question. Or Terra could be asking why isn't it Xehanort and not Sora. Or Terra thought about why it wasn't "him", and therefore blamed Xehanort since Terra began to sound angry by repeating his name.

But then he continues, "Xe...ha...nort... is that you?"

I'm afraid to say this but Terra just confused Sora with Xehanort. XD

But then at the end of their battle, he says, "I see, your strength is... What I sensed in you is..." Then he bows... and in my opinion, with the utmost respect towards Sora.

It sounds like Terra is talking about Xehanort having a connection with Sora. Or Sora is just like Xehanort in strength, will, spirit even etc.

... but now that I look at it again...

Terra says, "No... It isn't you... It isn't you that I have chosen..." Because you are not him, but you qualify. "Why isn't it you..." Meaning, if you're so much like the one I chose and there is no one else like the one I chose, then why aren't you the one I chose?

... but why would Terra choose someone like Xehanort...? It doesn't make sense at all.

Terra being the original master of the Light Realm keyblade... I'm not too sure of. He had to have gotten it from somewhere. But it would explain why he got confused, you're right. But I think there's a middle part missing.

So it seems that in Kingdom Hearts, nothing is coincidental, it's destiny.
