Everyone's talking about Ven this, and Aqua that, but I haven't seen an actual translation of what the knight says before he battles Sora. Can anyone point me towards one? For that matter, can anyone tell me what happens when you win the fight?

This is what he says when you fight him the first time:
    “Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!â€

This is what he says when you defeat him:
Enigmatic Soldier: I see. Your strength is… What I sensed in you is…

This is what he says when you re-fight him:
Enigmatic Soldier: So you have returned, young Keyblade user. I have no further power to give you. All I have is my hatred towards Xehanort. Will you allow me to engrave that into your heart?

P.S. I think you get Limit Form after you defeat him. :)

You get Limit Form at the end of the second visit to Twilight Town.

You get the Gold Crown and I believe the 9th Drive Gauge for beating the ES.

But you see, the major flaw with that is everyone's assuming the ES is talking about the two other Knights in Birth by Sleep.

When does he ever say those are who he's referring to. Aqua could be a place, so could Ven. They could be other people altogether. These haven't been confirmed.

The only major flaw is that every single person claiming they are the knights have said that Aqua is the girl and Ven is the Roxas-lookalike. I'm 99% certain the only reason why people say the girl is Aqua is because her hair is blue. And *that* alone, shows how factual these claims are.

We don't know what Aqua and Ven are, if they're even people, or places, etc.

And just to clarrify the Gold Crown, you don't have to beat the ES per se to get it, but you get it after completing *all* three major extras in FM+:

    - XIII Mushrooms
    - ES
    - Data fights

It doesn't matter on the order in which you do them, but beating 1 will give you bronze, beating 2 will get you silver, beating all 3 will get you gold.

We know that Aqua and Ven are people, Soush, because he talks to Sora as if he is one of these people, then decides on Xehanort. Due to Latin translations we can guess they're related.

Ven doesn't mean 'sky' in Latin.

The word Ven doesn't even exist in Latin. Don't know the genius who made that up.

As well, you can't be 100% sure he's talking about people. He said "Aqua.. Ven.. Keyblade". The Keyblade isn't a person, it's an object. One could easily surmise that Aqua, Ven and the Keyblade could be of equal prominence--which therefore does NOT limit it to being people.

Thank you! I'm going to save this imformation.

I agree with you. Aqua and Ven are important terms, for sure, but there is confirmation of who/what/where they are, anything that we designate them to is just speculation.

I didn't really notice what Xigbar said after I killed him the first time. However, when I was doing the data refights, i hear Xigbar saying something like "killed by Ven" at the end. I'm not sure though, maybe its just myself

Well, since I don't have the game. I can't contribute any new information let alone try and understand what exacly you guys are talking about. But I do want to contribute that maybe when he says "Aqua.. Ven.. Keyblade", that maybe he's talking about a type of keyblade?? An idea. Ack, it's just too hard to say. It could mean anything.

Someone told me Ven ment ocean in Latin. I guess they were wrong... >.> But it must mean something though. I'm going to try and figure out what, if there is a what.

Ven by itself doesn't mean anything, but Ventus in latin can mean 'wind'. At most, that would be the only connection about the term 'Ven'.

But once again, this could mean absolutely anything--not necessarily the name of one of the Knights.

Sora means 'sky' in Japanese, Aqua is water, 'Ven' might mean land.

... I'm agreeing with ロクサス. I don't think Ven means ocean. But maybe these othe names are just by coincidence since no one can find a reason to why they might be linked. I think it's just still too hard to say.

Like I said, Ven doesn't mean anything in Latin on its own. The closest it could mean is 'wind', not land, but that's only after you add a few letters.

Can someone point me in the direction of where I can find the text (in english) to the Secret Ending? I'd like to analyze it to see if I can spot any more clues as to what in general...

    Please and thank you. :)

You can search Youtube for the video with subs; there are subtitles for it burned right into the video.

Ah, thank you very much. I watched a cuple different videos and realized that the translated texts were different. I took the text from the one that made most sense. -_-

    Sunset Horizons:

The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power
One legend says it's wielder saved the world,
while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it.
"I must know what this Keyblade is.
A key opens doors." ~ Ansem reports
    Master of the Keyblade
    The lost two
    Memory of Xehanort
    Chasers
    Keyblade War
    It all began with -
    birth by sleep.
    ____________________________

    New Ending:

    Birth by sleep
A sealed tale of the truth.
The fate of all occurs not by chance
The fate of all is inevitable
    Each of their fates,
    pass through and gather together.
A new story awaits the awakening.

I believe that it says, the fate of everyone is intertwined and unavoidable which could just mean, "Hey I believe in fate" or "my fate depends on your fate"

-_- Fate this and fate that. I haven't the slightest clue. But as I was watching, I did a lot of pausing/rewinding/playing again. I'm sure someone pointed out that Baldy's Keyblade looked just like an Oblivion, but did anyone notice that the Keyblade was turned into his ball of pink/purple glowing stuff that he shoots into the sky and summons that huge heart?

Other then that, I didn't find any clues concerning the characters at all. :(

I think the "chasers" are a new being like the Heartless or Nobodies
When someone becomes a Heartless the soul and body become the nobody
but what happens to the memories? Thats what I beleive creates the "chasers"
the heartless and nobodies don't keep their memories so they must go somewhere.
The line in the KH2:sm "memory of Xehanort" may be refering to the ES, since he looks like xehanort and may be his memory, also the BHS may look like roxas because he could be the memory of sora, yes i know sora has his memories, but he lost them while he was a heartless, so there could be two of his memory, one that returned to him and one that became the "chaser". As for the blue haired girl I have no ideas, she may be the memory of kairi but most likely not since kairi didn't have a heartless, just a false nobody.
