Kingdom Hearts II Discussion of Secret Ending

I JUST realized something. The one who looks like Roxas is the one who picked up Way to Dawn! Square severed another connection! Why! WHY!? WHY!?!?!?!

 

Im confused?

 

Well i think it's weird that in the first secret ending the three of them have two keyblades in the second one they have only one each...

 

I've got a few ideas, some of which have already been picked up but others haven't so...

--As it has been pointed out, the bald man's accomplice/'heartless' resembles the dark or transformed form of Riku. Also, the 'heartless' appears to be wearing a helmet almost identical to those worn by the knights, but without the decoration. This could show some connection between him/it and the knights (I've built on this idea below).
--The battlefield appears to be the crossroads. My interpretation of the crossroads has always been that the paths symbolise the four roads; the road to light, the road to dawn, the road to twilight and the road to dusk/darkness, while the crossroad itself symbolises the opportunity to change from one road to the other (think about Riku's appearences at the crossroads). If we build on the idea that the knights are good, we could presume that they embody the roads to light, dawn and twilight. If you consider the fact that the 'heartless' wears a helmet like the knights, its plausable he'd/it would embody the road to darkness. You could also interpret the fact that the 'heartless' wears a helmet is because he/it had a connection with the knights, perhaps even been one of them, but defected to join the bald man.

Nothing groundbreaking but I haven't seen anyone make the connection between the crossroads and the four 'paths' that come up during the games, and the possible implications this might have.

oh~ good points... that would make sense. but like that one person said, maybe its just a summon? I'm trying not to get into deep thinking about it because the last time I did that on KHII - I was no where CLOSE to the idea with deep dive =.=;;

so I just think that what we are seeing a is a past flash back type thing that will be explained later...then again, I haven't seen any new updates on remix so I should go check then talk lol.

come to think of it, there was something different about them, but maybe it could have been the light reflecting off them.

Well I don't know if this is a spoiler or not, but Ansem the Wise and Xehanort may have found the armour when they discovered the secret room.

or maybe they dropped them during the fight-with so many keyblades flying in at once...

 

ehm... they didn't have them in beginning of the secret ending om final mix +

just a long stretch... But the tall guy could be Xehanort, he could of like gotten his white hair and orange eyes by opening himself to darkness. And then been transformed by it. And the lost two in the first secret ending could refer to the roxas looking guy and the tall guy

 

I think its been confirmed that the other two knights (female and the "Roxas) lookalike) are called Ven and Aqua (dont know which is which) but apparently its Sea and Water in Latin.

The Key Runners

First, they aren't Kari, Riku, or Sora. The Sora look alike is Ven, the one everyone think is Kari is Aqua, and that other guy...... no one knows. Some think the bald dude is Ansem the Wise evil, but others say it's the keyblade forger. Which seems true because he can control almost every keyblade out their. I do believe the one in the suit is the bald dude's puppet. And I think I the title won't even be called Kingdom Hearts III, I heard it from someone who interviewed the creator

Yeah, we know this. that's why I think they're brother and sister since Ven means ocean and Aqua means water in latin.

... Unless it's some strange coincidence that they have such similar names...

Or maybe it could be code / nick names for their group/organiztion that they fight with. If so, then lets analyze the possible combos:

I tried the other possibilities but they don't make sense so I didn't list them. But if anybody finds another anogram (I think it's what those are called) that sounds right then go ahead and post it on the drawing board.

 

Remember that Kairi's name can mean ocean, and Naminé's name can mean ocean wave.

Also remember how Nomura stated that one of the Knights, could be related to an existing character we know. (Not an exact quote, but was somewhere along the lines of)

 

I never knew that! Huh, xD Siblings would be cool, then the boy could be the younger brother, if it was true. Thats a good theory, so many ocean//island names >.> Anyways, it still looks like Roxas, but its not....hrm....maybe its a ...clone...? >.>Bleh, ignore me.

^_^ Thanks. And yeah, true... there are a lot of islanic-y names... hmm. And oh my gosh what if he was a clone! Certainly if Ansem the Great could creat a fake world for the brain-washed Roxas to live in, surely they would have the technology to clone! >.< Although that theory is sort of unlikely... Seeing as how it might take place in the past. Has that been cleared up, by the way? Do we know for sure when it took place yet? So far, I haven't read anything saying it is. But good clone theory, though. :D New stuff to think about is always great.

 

Ven kinda sounds like Even (Vexen's original name), and I remember Nomura saying that Zexion's book contains essential information on many characters. Surely Organization XIII hasn't given up all its secrets just yet.

As for the chronology, I believe the secret ending happens in the past : first Larry (the tall knight) awfully looks like Xehanort, and hair more often turn from brown to white than the other way around. Second, the hundred keyblades that form the crossroads could easily be related to this Keyblade war Xigbar talked about, and he clearly said it was a past event, years ago, even before Xehanort was found by Ansem.

In the same way, Xaldin said Sora was 10 years too young to use the keyblade, which implies he knows much about the keyblade and its previous masters. It would take the example of several keyblade masters for him to acquire so much experience and judgment. And look at the number of keyblade masters : today 3 (4 if you count Kairi), during the keyblade war a whole bunch.
