Hy, I was playing KH2 FM+ today and just finished the boss in Land of Dragons pt.2, and I noticed the disc wouldn't read properly. When I take it out I notice quite a bit of damage on the disc, which wasn't there when I put the game in only like three hours earlier. The laser mechanism seems to have bumped into it at some point and damaged the game. I tried a gamedocter a few times and got it to about 1/3rd its original size of damage, but..the game still won't load the next cutscene to continue the game. Any ideas on what I can do?

    Rub toothpaste into the scratch.

    Seriously.

Toothpaste is recommended online in a few places and I tried it..I got he second cutscene to reload that wouldn't work again after that, and the music ended, (every other time the music played in an infinite loop) so it got slightly further I think into loaidng me back into the gummy ship, but Ill try a few more times of different things now

So the toothpaste actually sorta works. I allways thought it would make it worse.

Anyway, try turning the PS2/3 on it's side. (According to sony that should help the laser read better). Then continue the game docter and toothpaste.

Did you use the toothpaste? That seriously works, but wait until it's dry.

After drying and washing it off and crying because it didn't work, and gamedoctering it a final time before giving up, the game worked! I beat the boss for the 10th time today, and skipped the cutscene, and it loaded to the gummy ship, so I saved..FIVE TIMES just in case >_>; but it works! Thanks again everyone!

I have used tooth paste before but I didn't wait for it to dry. That's probably why it didn't work. But anyway I used disk scratch fixing things and they worked. I can't remember what it's called but it worked. Though after it was fixed the game had many glitches.

I get some soap...any type of soap, and rub it around in circles with the softest piece of material I can find.

    It works for me. =/

Do you use liquid or solid soap? Do you think it would make a difference?

I use liquid. I think the liquid would be better...but that's just me.

That’s just cleaning the disk. We’re talking about repairing one. Which there is no real way to do, you can only try to lessen the damage and pray for the best. I can get into the whole technology rant but trust me; it can’t be done with out a machine to rewrite it.

    ...Oh. >< I must have mis-read the post...again.

In that case, I'd buy a new one...sorry to say it.

I've fixed one disk with toothpaste, but I accidentally dropped it and the toothpaste + half the disk got really chipped up so I'm not even bothering to fix it.
