358/2 Days Disappointing Characters

Didn't anyone else find it disapointing when you played long enough and earned the right to use Donald and Goofy only to find that they can't hold their own in battle at all, they both seem a great help to Sora in other games but on their own Donald needed all the strongest spells to even beat one samuri Nobody and goofy's best move was to spin continuesly, it worked but it took hours to beat anything! How did everyone else find them?

 

I never really played alone that much with Donald or any of the unlockables that take forever to take. But I was dissapointed by Xigbar. His attacks are so weak and he can't hit something right in front of him

 

They made Xigbar weak as a limit due to the fact he can shoot. However it backfires and makes a great character terrible. The limit should just have been that he has no finishing move. (Cause he doesn't!)

That only is good enough of a limit. Goofy and Donald also are terrible. I never play as them cause they are weak and the combos are "meh".

They could of done a lot better with Goofy, Donald, and Xigbar.

 

Donald is far worse than Goofy. At least with Goofy you can knock and defeat a few Heartless. Donald is a huge disappointment. I don't understand why they decided to make them so weak. Especially if you compare them to Mickey.

 

Actualy it all depends they have secret weapons when you equip pandoras gear
Sora gets bond of flame (the keyblade that looks like axels chakrams)
Donald gets (I forget the name) Lexaeus' axe hammer
Goofy gets Vexens sheild (better but still sucks :/)
Riku gets Oblivion
Mickey gets star seeker

Each keyblade makes them much stronger or makes them fight in a more strategic way

 

@Mvalentine: Even so Donald and Goofy are still horrible. I've played with Donald using that gear that unleashes the true power (i don't remember the name) and still Donald was bad. Sure his spells are quite strong but you can't win only with spells. And even if you do, it will take more than two hours, depending on the mission.

 

True power? You mean the Zero gear which gives Sora, Donald and Goofy their "dream weapons" - the ones you see in Sora's awakening world and for all of the others their signature weapons. It's the best weapon for Donald in terms of stats.

About this pandora's gear - I never heard that it gives them a different fighting style than they usually do. Are you sure about it?

donald goofy xigbar i really think their a huge dissapointment..

 

Xigbar, Donald, and Goofy are all bottom Tier.
This should've been obvious.

The Zero Gear gives them their strongest weapons.

Aren't Goofy and Donald alternative play characters? Like I play using a combination of melee attacks and magic but mostly melee which is why I use Saix, Marluxia and Roxas but when I tried Donald I loaded him with magic and he wasn't too bad, he just needs all the magic you can give him and when I tried Goofy I mostly relied on his limit but I guess he's more of a damage absorbing character so if you load him with defence he'll be a walking shield, but that's fairly useless in single player.

 

you've got a good point but who wants to change their syle just to use a charecter like Donaled and Goofy and what use id a charecter who's only good point is his limit?

 

Well... me being a Goofy fan, I would do it. I mean, I also rely on their limits to help in dire circumstances.

Maybe, but that is also a matter of opinion. I'm sure with the right links and panels he could do damage. As well, with either of those characters

I also think Zexion was a sort of disappointment. He had limited combos (Like everyone else, but his was more limited) and I didn't like his moveset. Like others who like a certain character Zexion fans should be very disappointed. Including me.

 

Another character i think of as a huge disappointment is Vexen. He is so slow and the shield doesn't work very well. I had quite high hopes for him.

 

I hate using Ziggy and Vexen, coz it's like playing such lame, error-ed game.
Zigbar is really weak and it delt nothing.. nothing. :p

 

each gear gives a slightly different style or change in power...for donals...it increases his attack majorly and his style is extremely similar to lexaeus just try i actually defeated quite a few bosses with him (I beat anti-saix with dying once)

 

Really?! Now this is something i would like to see.

I don't think that there are other lousy characters in terms of gameplay, maybe Lexaeus because he is very slow but he is supposed to be that way so i can't say he was bad. Xemnas was a bit of a disappointment (i though he would be stronger since he was the leader) but he was very good with the right gear.

 

Couldn't find a video but try it out yourself honestly pandoras gear is a good one.

To be honest demyx was annoying to use...His attacks barely do anything and he's slow aswell

 

Demyx is a so-so character for me. I don't mind playing as him at all.
