Ryoji left and looked around.

 

Nina stayed with Minato.

 

Ryoji was worried and wondered the shadows were surrounding of the presence of him and Nina.

 

Nina stared at the shadows that were gathered. They seemed to bow before her.

 

Ryoji ran back and was confused at what was happening.

 

Nina looked over at Ryoji.

"Your guess is as good as mine."

 

"Ask them what's going on."

 

Nina talked to the shadows and was surprised she could understand them.

"They say there's a rogue shadow to the south of here. They want to help bring it down."

 

Ryoji nodded and ran to the shadow.

 

The shadow turned and attacked Nina.

Nina raised her hands to block it, but suddenly shot out a dark bolt at the shadow, knocking it back. The shadows following her jumped on the rogue shadow.

 

Ryoji attacked it.

 

The shadow fell from Ryoji's attack.

Nina gasped as the bolt she shot took a lot of her energy.

 

Hattori gently held Nina in his arms. Ryoji looked at her and sighed. "What should we do?"

 

The shadows started to clear a path to safety.

 

Hattori carried Nina to safety. Ryoji followed them.

 

Minato took up the rear to make sure nothing followed them. The dark hour soon ended.

 

Hattori laid her on a bed and sighed.

 

Nina slowly woke up.

"What happened?"

 

"Just a run-in with a rouge shadow."

 

Nina slowly sat up.

"Where's Ryoji?"
