Digital Persona Saga - Mask of Longing

Lesa ran from her room and outside and stood in the snow.

Styria smiled, "Snow Glace? I'd like to show you something before my Mistress is summoned. If I may?"

 

"Fine with me."

 

Styria spread her arms and blue fire formed a circle before her. "Lesa's sister and her share my sister and I but Lesa, since she was alive when the meteor hit, was given another Persona. Not all things seem as they are." The snow on the ground fell away and a large black hole was left. Several thick chains flew from the hole and embedded themselves into the ground around them, "Chained to keep Lesa safe from herself, I linked his power to her emotions. Released, he could pose a serious problem without decent control." The chains shuddered and Styria continued, she whispered, "Bahamut..." A great dragon flew from the hole as she spoke her name as if waiting for his entrance and was pulled to a stop by the chains. It roared and strained against the chains; beating it's great rainbow wings hard. "This is what lies imprisoned within my Mistress Lesa." Styria's tone was chilly and dead serious.

 

Snow smiled in awe at the great dragon. "Very nice. But you still have no control I see. Shall I show you what can happen you are in absolute perfect synch with your persona?"

 

Styria reined in Bahamut, tugging on a chain and throwing him back into the prison. "Show me."

 

"Well, you did say yes." Snow summoned Nyx. Her undeniable beauty surfaced from his smoking gun. Her wings dread wide, she shot a large blast of darkness and a blizzard started. The whites of Snow's eyes turned jet black leaving only his glowing purple pupils. The darkness began to envelop th sun. Everything was in complete darkness. The only things visible were Snow and Nyx's glowing eyes. "Now I want you to stay completely calm and just focus on the sound of the blizzard." Snow pointed his guns toward the chains. He shot both, each powered by darkness. A sound of breaking chains filled he air. Nyx began to curl around the dragon. Snow raised his hand and formed an ice cage made if spikes around the dragon. "Now remember, focus. "

 

Styria's eyes were wide and Lesa came barreling into the forest, "W-what is that!" Styria gripped her arm, "Focus, calm!" Lesa's hands shook and Bahamut struggled violently against the new binds. Styria and Nix held Lesa, "Calm! Focussss!" they hissed and Lesa closed her eyes, calmed her breathing and Bahamut settled down. A single sentence escaped his dragon mouth, "My lady?"

 

"Well looks like we're getting somewhere." Snow kicked up the blizzard. "I want to see if you can focus through even the worst of situations. Ice shards flew through the air and trees were uprooted and tossed about. "Now, I'll show you. Nyx, synch!" "Yes." Nyx's beautiful form suddenly shifted and melted into a cloud of darkness that swirled around Snow. The darkness grew until it covered everything but Lesa and her personas. The darkness covered Snow and swirled even faster. When it finally stopped, what stood before Lesa was not Snow. Instead, a young man in shining futuristic armor with four black wings and two pistols stood before her. His long white hair flowed out of the back of his helmet, and two glowing purple eyes opened inside the helmet and glowed through the slits. He began shooting at Lesa, but purposely missing as not to hurt her. A voice of divine proportions echoed throughout the forest. "Remember what I said. Focus. Talk to your dragon. Gain control."

 

Lesa fell to her knees, "You...you're what's wrong with me." Bahamut snorted, shook off the icicles, landed at her feet and touched her hair with a long claw, "No, I'm what's going to make you stronger. Now..." he growled at Nyx and Snow, "I don't like being touched by ice."

 

"Well, unfortunately for you, you're going to have to deal with it." He let out a huge blast of ice that covered the terrain and made a large spire in the center. "Now beast, witness control." He let off many blasts of ice and made a huge cage around Bahamut. Inside the cage he made multiple spikes appear inside. "You need discipline."

 

Bahamut roared inside the cage, "Discipline! You dare speak to me, mortal!" Lesa motioned for Styria to crack the ice. "Please Snow, I can handle this." Styria broke the ice cage and Bahamut hovered over his prision, "My lady imprisons me. This mortal cages me again. I cannot understand." Lesa touched her dragon mark on her wrist, "Bahamut! He's right, discipline." She took a step toward it, "You are a part of me and I of you. Let us try. Allow me to show you what control I have."

 

He dropped all of his powers and all ice came crashing down, the sun showed through the darkness and he folded his wings. His armor became a cloud and it swirled around him and Nyx formed behind Snow. Her wings folded around him she began to sing a song to him as Snow began to lose his grip on reality.

"You've got nothing
From that corner of self-consciousness you retreat to
C'mon and spring out
To a wonderful New World"

Her voice was beautiful. Not even an angel could replicate it. As it sang Snow began to open his ice blue eyes and he sat on the grass. His head aimed toward the large spire of ice, which still stood.

 

Bahamut touched the ground and Lesa laid her hands on his massive leg, "Be one with me." Bahamut shuddered, "I...you've passed, Lady Lesa, my Mistress." Light emerged from his massive body and swirled into her. His voice echoed, "One last thing." A mass of darkness surged toward Snow but Styria shielded him with a wall of ice. "She does not wish harm on this one. Obey thy Mistress's wishes." Bahamut became a part of Lesa and she collapsed onto the snow. She mumbled, "Forgive me..."

 

Snow walked over to Lesa. He picked her up and headed back to the castle. Snow muttered something under his breath as the spire collapsed behind him. He took Lesa to her room and set her down on her bed. He closed the door and left.

 

In Lesa's dream she sat by a pool of water and stared at the shifting waters. Bahamut had a different form in her dream, he looked like a man with bare amounts of armor on his body, "You seem...better now that I'm with you." Lesa smiled at him and blushed, "Yeah I guess so. Why is your power attatched to my emotions?" He sat next to her, "When your sister died and the meteor hit, your emotions were...how you say, 'out of wack'. I hate to tell you this but you'll have to be much more controled than you usually are." Lesa laughed, "I'll do my best. Say, speaking of my sister..." Cara appeared by her side, "Forget me already? Oh don't think I didn't catch that very handsome...what's his name?" Lesa frowned, "Snow? No way." Cara grinned, "Snow. I like it. Like a bite out of ice cream. Yummy."

 

Arisa burned the arrow as Minato knocked out her of the room. She reverted back to normal and sighed. "No wonder you can stand that girl. Just because she lived in a mansion her whole life, she thinks she can get anything she wants."

 

"Yeah. I'm glad you can see why I can't stand that spoiled brat."

 

"Well, unlike her, I was born in the Suzuhara Mansion, but my father died risking my freedom to live as a normal girl. I never knew I was the heir until I visited it."

 

"I never would have guessed."

 

Minato smiled. "I figured the other me would be a spoiled brat in this world."
