Digital Persona Saga - Mask of Longing

Toji deflected the shot, turning his attention from Hattori long enough for him to grab the scythe and slice his chest.

Toji backed away, stunned as the last bit of life bled away from him.

 

"This time, you stay dead." Minato repeated in a emotionless tone.

 

Hattori suddenly felt weak. Metatron's essence lost its hold on him.

 

Shiori caught her brother before he fell to the ground. Minato gently kissed him when a portal to her world appeared.

 

Hattori dropped the scythe and fell limp. Lucifer stared at Hattori and grabbed him.

 

Minato put a cloak and stood in front of the portal, watching.

 

Lesa ran in. Cara slightly behind her in a half-visible form. Cara cried out when she saw the portal, "Wait, Minato, please, take me to your world. Where I can have a new life." Lesa gripped her sister's ghostly arm, "You can't! D-don't leave me!" Cara gently brushed her sister's hair away from her face, "I don't belong here. I died a long time ago, let me go completely this time." She turned back to Minato, "Let me come."

 

Hattori's body soon started moving again. He groaned as he came to.

"I'm still alive? But how?"

"You're alive because your true persona has reunited with you, one of them anyway." Lucifer said.

 

Minato nodded at Lesa, and turned to Shiori and Hattori. "Change your last names to Nakumara. Trust me, you'll like it." Then she entered the portal with a hood over her head.

 

Cara started to follow and held her sister's hands, "I cannot separate the Shiva sisters, so as a gift to you. I'm going to re-unite them to how they were before. Take care of Shiva. She's all we have left, and Bahamut. But i'll be keeping Zalera. We...have a bond. A bond I cannot break just yet. Something tells me we'll meet again. Good bye my sister." Cara followed Minato through the portal, leaving Lesa all alone with the others.

 

Hattori nodded and smiled, still surprised he was alive.

 

Minato opened her eyes to see a clear blue sky, a blond haired boy was temporarily frozen in surprise and shock before running into the house and pushing out a black haired boy and a different version of Hattori to Minato and Cara.

 

"I didn't think you'd be back so soon." Hattori said.

 

"Good to be back." Minato stood up and lowered her hood. Ryoji smiled and hugged her tightly with Teddie. "I brought a friend." she said.

 

Cara was amazed by her new body. It was solid, she was almost too happy. She glanced between the two of them, "Who's that?" she asked in an almost giddy voice.

 

Hattori smiled and kissed Minato.

 

"Welcome to my family, these are Ryoji and Teddie."

 

Snow popped in on all of them. He was covered in blood and his guns were smoking. "Whats up?"

 

"And I'm Hattori, Minato's husband."

 

"Don't worry, Cara. This Hattori is very different from the one you knew."
