Something has been bugging me:things involving Normal members don't get much attention. Premmies get a section, their colors get changed once in a while, but those are privlileges. Even so, normal members haven't been changed much at all.

Also, sometimes i get the norm. mems mixed up with the premmies, because on my comp it takes a while for the new premmy color to load so alln
i see is the color of norms.

Solution: change the color of norm members to something more noticeable, like blue.

I agree with you here but you know as well as i do no one who isn't a normal member is going to let it happen..

because they think they are special(don't hate me premmies i <3 you all but seriously..)

But still, it makes all us Norms. feel like a bag of doosh!
We don't have to have more sig/avvy space, only a better colour then freakin grey!

I like the idea of having Yellow Green or Medium Turquoise as colours.

Yes I know your right but the fact is members could at least get something.. say.. newbies have the dull color.. and when you are on for say.. 2 years your color changes.. I'm not saying we should get extreme privileges just small ones..

um.. no if i was suggesting another level of member I would have gone straight to the point.. plus. I'm pretty sure you premiums wouldn't feel so special if they instantly added another level of member. I'm just saying that some members will never get premium because.

    1. No one ever reps them
    2. most people get posts in spam zone.. people try to avoid spam zone due to de-repping
    3. People just don't like that member for some reason.

So if I said another level of members.. it would make the premiums feel worse.. so that's why I'm just saying a color change like after a certain amount of time on the site. Not by making another level of members that only have to do half the work premiums do making the older premiums feel bad..

YAY! Yellow Green isn't used so often and its a good colour.

Maybe the colour will change after 5 months membership?

No, different colours are part of the benefit of doing more and doing something to get noticed, if you want a different coloured name then work towards one.

Norms are norms, why should they stand out more than the other user groups?

If that was the case why even make a prem group?

I would say no to this.

A colored username is a privelige, per say, for people who are dedicated to the site. We have earned our colored names, section & whatnot and if everyone had them, nobody would ever post.
Be patient and you'll reach premium eventually. You just have to work hard for the things you want.

Also technically your username IS colored, it's navy blue .

    This.

We need a nice neutral color to balance things out, and things would be too insanely colorful if normal members got a username color. A colored name is a status symbol. If you're dedicated, premium membership is not hard to get after a couple months of being active and posting a lot. I could probably get it done without trying in a year.

If you're really obsessed with having your username a nice color, work towards premium. We can't give people automatic benefits for simply registering; the premiums' colored names gives you an incentive to be active; if you got a cool color without being active, there would be no reason to work towards premium.

Sorry guys, the switching colors for normal members is not going to happen for the reasons already mentioned.. Color changes etc come with Premium. It would bereft the purpose of premium if we go about granting this to the normal folks and you peoples would have nothing to strive for. It takes a while to get to Premium but really, it's not that bad.
Closing this since that's the answer.
