It was sad, but not tear-jerking because the secret ending promised a sequel and nobody died except for the bad guys, so it was a given that things would turn out fine.

I thought that the little scene after the credits with Sora, Donald and Goofy walking along saying 'Now what?' was pretty funny.

I'll be honest, I went up to my room and cried for a good five minutes.

But that was before I realized there was a second game and stuff

I only saw the two get seperated. I didn't see the part about Sora, DOnald, Goofy with pluto

God, yes. I cried through the whole thing. Hell, I even cried when I watched it over again at a friend's house.

I remember it perfectly: There I was sobbing, and she goes, "Look at the graphics on the trees!"

I saw the ending video WAY before I finally completed the game. Like even before I had the game I saw the ending. And it honestly made me cry. I was sat in my Dad's office bawling my eyes out at this thing XD

So yes, I thought the ending was sad. But when I finally got to the ending for real I was like "... I hate you Kairi. Fall off your sand bank now!" <_< >_>

Great ending, Not enough to bring me to tears, but still it was pretty good for a game made by Disney and Square. It wasn't the happily ever after ending that was expected, instead we had a hero far from home. Still on his mission to find his friend.

I loved the ending. it was a nice cliffhanger for what awaited us the rest of the series. But surely, I was not brought to tears. It was fairly sad, though.

Yeah it was very sad, and left me looking forward to KH2. To bad that was a let down.

the ending was a bit... you know.. even though i beat kingdom hearts 2 before i beat kingdom hearts.. but CoM the ending for that was even worst for me, expecaily reverse/rebirth. but the whole sora drawing papou thing on the wall was touching...
so also leading to KH2 when sora went back to the wall he drew on and smiled.

I was more ticked then sad, probably because I thought they'd make me find her again. I still thought the end was adorable though. At least after seeing his drawing she knew is feelings for him. :<3:

It was pretty sad. However, it was a good trick by disney, a sad ending means more people want to see the sequel in hope of a happy ending :)

I was sad Sora couldn't come back home, and that Riku was stuck behind the door :C then I wanted the next game and I had it so it wasn't all that sad.
Also sad they finished it on a SoKai note. Supposedly.
Here's to the KH2 manga showing us he basically promised her he'd bring Riku back to her. Har. That made the ending less sad for me C:

Yeah it was sad, I thought Riku was going to be trapped forever or something with how he was all "take care of her" and then Kairi and Sora got seperated.
