Now if you play on proud mode its hard, but with drives it still makes it easier then it should be, because back in KH1 you had you dodge roll and you oblivion and thats what you used for every fight but in kh2 you got valor, wisdom, master, adn final forms to choose from. Personally i think it was AWESOME!!! to get to use 2 keyblades and the forms are tight as hell, but im jsut wondering, did they make some parts of the game a little to easy?

No, the hardest battles didnt let you use drives.

IE: Xemnas battle, Sephiroth. So, if you depended on drives to max out HP and MP like some people I know, your just going to find yourself at a major disadvantage in those key

What he said. Unless you used a cheating device, you wouldn't be able to Drive without Donald or Goofy. Final Form Sora vs. Final Xemnas wouldn't have been possible until someone found the Drive without losing party members code. And you aren't able to drive in the Pride Lands either.

Kingdom Hearts II is way too easy compared to Kingdom Hearts one and Chain of Memories. But yeah, I think the game only seems hard when you forget to use the forms/summons/limits.

Seeing as most of the harder battles are either significantly easier without the use of Drive forms (The ability to use Guard and to be able to use more than one growth ability at a time is invaluable against many bosses) or are set up so that you can't use Drive forms to begin with, I'd say no. The only boss I've ever had any real use for Drives against was Dark Thorn on my first playthrough. Other than that, they haven't really made battles easier.

I do love Drive forms, (especially Limit Form in FM+. I used it in every boss battle I could, not for the purpose of making the battle easier, but simply because I love using the form) but they are not responsible for the game's low difficulty as most boss battles are rather easy regardless of if you use Drives or not. Sometimes using Drive forms might even make battles harder due to the lack of Guard and for Valor, the inability to use magic.

Nah Id say they were that nice little last resort for me. Not making the game easier per say. I mean every little ability or whatever technicaly makes the game easier. But the drive forms were great, it was like a change of style a refreshing from soras usual repetitive combo. And If you didn't know what the forms well enough they could be more of a disadvantage.

Yes and no. For some battles, drives made it almost TOO easy...

Yes and no. I think that it made it easy when you had it on the hardest difficulty. But not when you didn't have them all.

Yes, and no. I was fighting Xigbar, and I thought to myself "Hey self, let's go into Valor! You haven't used that in a while!"...and I got Anti-Form. I died in record time.

I used Wisdom to beat Xaldin, though. It was epic. But for the most part I forgot about Drives, so I didn't use them.

well...only becuz of the elixir effect it has just by transforming that can be performed even in the middle of a combo and can't be interrupted. if it didn't heal i would say no, but since it does, i woudl say yes

I think it made it easier by a little bit, if perhaps there were more types of backfires of going into drive mode than antiform, then I think it would have been fun.

true true, i like Drive Forms cuz they make the game more fun (even Antiform) but they REALLY need to get rid of that elixir effect that makes it easier.

I actually never noticed the elixer effect the first time I played it through, until after the first Xemnas battle.

Meaning, all the key battles, I used Drives without knowing the elixerlike effect, so I did wierd things like cast cure on myself just prior to using Valor form and the like.

I beat it though, no prob. However, I think if you did do it specifically for the healing effect, then thats cheesy. But your still going to have to pull off some tough wins against certain bosses which dont let you use drives.

Also, Antiform was my favorite form... I dont know why, maybe its because black is cool.

Wrong. I would say the new abilities and the reaction commands made it too easy.

There was some great abilities in KH2...

but its not like MP Rage and Cure combo from KH1. If you have Cure, and MP rage, you really didnt need anything else.

true dat true dat. reaction commands are simply button mashing. what kind of game rewards button mashing. there's no timing involved at all except the Skyscraper one against Xemnas but that's it. and then it does a ridiculously LARGE amount of damage. this game is so easy i actually gave the enemies a few free hits on purpose to see if they could kill me....they couldn't -_-

That was exactly why. These "great abilities" made the game a great deal of easier.

No... its not that cheap in KH2 because of the MP charge up time, its cheap in KH1... very cheap.

As in, I used it to beat the Ice Titan without Gaurd cheap.
