Square-Enix Did anyone play blitz ball in FFX?

Well yes you can leave and come back, but all the matches are still there waiting for you to play them, so you still have to spend all that time playing it.

Another thing: It also costs a lot of bread in the long run, something that you might just need in order to keep your characters weapons and your stock up to date. So you sorta have to decide: Have your characters well equiped or play a mini-game. Or you can just wait til the end of the game, when you have enough money anyway, and do it in one big sitting. It's glorious methinks.

Yeah, but 10 matches isn't a lot if you spread them out. I sometimes will do them in one sitting.

Not really, I've never had Gil problems yet (though I'm only at Mt. Gagazet? still haven't finished the game), and I'd say my characters are pretty well equipped. Final Fantasy games aren't ones you can speed through; you have to put a lot of time into levelling up your characters, and you get Gil for battles.

I kinda contracted all of my people for 99 games so ...

I had LOADS of money by the end of the game. Mimic grinding FTW!!!

I also think that a lot more could've been done with the 3D aspect of the Sphere pool. But of course, Atlantica in Kingdom Hearts showed us that that doesn't always work very well.

Also, this game is very forgiving with money unlike FFs 12 and 13, which are very stingy with money until late in the game, and in th case of 12, all the way though.

Well I suppose you are correct, but the total time will still be pretty high.

You have to put a lot of time into grinding? I disagree, not once have I played through a Final Fantasy game and had to stop to grind because I was underleveled. I just fight every battle on the way, that's been enough for me to beat quite a few of the FF games. It would solve the problem with gil though, I admit that. It could've been easily avoided though, if you actually won gil aswell when you won, which does seem logical.

It's very easy to be underleveled in FFXII because it is open world and also has very few set battles because it's a "live" combat system and you can run from a fight any time.

Maybe, I wouldn't know. FFXII is pretty much the only FF I never bothered to complete, because the battle system and the game in general bored me to sleep.

By the way, I do like FFX, it's just that I don't like blitzball.

Oh yeah, it definitely adds up, I'm sure I have like 7 hours of Blitzball playing on my play count, but it's fun. c:

And maybe I just suck at video games? lol, every Final Fantasy game I've played was so difficult for me because my people were always underleveled. I've been trying to get through FFXII for ages now but I have to stop and level up my people everytime I reach a new area.

Or we'll just say that I've played to many (hard) turn-based RPGs, yes let's go with that one. :B

However not to get off topic: I saw you were wondering about getting Wakka on your team. You can only get him either once or twice, once you first get the airship (I know that this one is true, and I know that you're also past that part) and if I recall correctly another time on the airship. I'd definitely get him, he's rediciously cheap, only 1 gil per game. Can't go wrong with that. :>

xD*Ahh yes, the Blitzball game. At first I thought it was an aquatic version of football where you use hands to dribble. :/
After a while though, I got rather addicted to the game, and although botta barely got levelled up, I had quite the awesome team, given the time I had practiced out of boredom.
