The idea for this fanfiction spurred off of a topic in speculation, where I wondered about all of the school Sora probably had to miss in his entire adventure thing. I concluded that Sora's entire journey was about 2 years long, so he would be going into about 11th grade. So here we go. Day 1 That's it. I officially hate High School. I don't even know how Kairi did it for so long. It has only been one day and I already want out. I already have a week's detentions, I don't know a thing about biology, I have no clue what aniclopeliohithenons are, I suck at Cross Country, French is really hard, and my legs hurt. All I want to do is lye down right now, but Kairi suggested that I keep a journal to help me deal with high school. She said that's what she did for the first 2 years without me. To do this, I guess I'll start from the time I got up this morning. "Sora!" my mother called. "Sora get your lazy butt down here, your waffles are getting cold!" I opened my eyes, the sunshine already flooding every inch of my bedroom. It was a beautiful day. Too bad it had to be wasted on school. I glanced at my clock: 6:03 AM stared back, mocking me. "Not now mom. It's too early. "Sora you better get your butt down here now, you're going to be late! You have to shower and pick out your clothes and do your hair and-" "I'm not a girl mom" I interupted. "That does not give you reason to have no hygene. Up! Now!" ... Moms have a responce to everything. 5 minutes later, I was downstairs eating my luke warm waffles. My mom was standing there. Today she was wearing a purple T-shirt and shorts. Nothing special. Her 125 pound body busily rumaged around my kitchen, her long blonde hair occasionally catching the sun. Sometimes I wonder what my father must have looked like. If my mother looked like this, surely my father had to have dark brown hair to create me. I will never know; my parents got divorced when I was 2. I don't remember my father at all. Today my mom was more busy with nonsense then usual. Checklists were e everywhere. That's what my mom does. Whenever anything has to be done, she makes a checklist out of it. When I was almost done with my waffles, my mother came up next to me and said "Alright Sora, I made a checklist of all the things you have to do before-" "mom!" I interupt her, "Don't you think I can handle going back to high school? I've fought countless heartless and nobodies, defeated bosses you can't imagine, AND I'm the..er... a Keyblade Master. High School will be nothing." She just rolled her eyes and told me to go shower, so I did. 25 minutes and a shower later I was ready to go. "Alright. Riku's gonna give me a ride. Love you mom." I said as I walked out the door. My mom merely waved and continued cutting vegetables, a task she takes on every morning for no known reason. "Morning Riku" I said as I walked toward his rusty old car. "Morning" He replied. "We've gotta pick up Kairi too." "OK." I replied. Just before we got to Kairi's house, Riku did the strangest...(well, not really strange, more like...un Riku-ish) thing. He leaned over to me and asked "Sora are you scared? I mean, not going to school for 2 entire years....What if people think I look really weird? What if my hair is messed up? What If I can't live up to my old Sexy reputation?" I just stared at him and didn't say anything. You know, I have always secretly thought Riku was gay.(Well, ever since that time in first grade when he complimented the way my pants clashed with my shirt in an attractive way, making me look slightly rebelious and the perfect picture for a dreamy man.) He has his moments..... Just when I thought I was about to die from being in a car alone with Riku too long, Kairi came running out of her house wearing a blue plaid skirt, white blouse, and a tie to match her skirt. She also had a bag around her shoulder. She got into the car and stared at us. She didn't even say hi! Finally, I broke the incredibly akward silence. "Hey Kairi! First day of school, eh?" She said nothing, only looked at me, confused, for about 5 more minutes. "What do you think you are doing?" she said, finally. "Umm, sitting in a car?" I responded, puzzeled. "What are you doing." "I'm wearing my school uniform, which, evidently, you and Riku are too cool for." "Crap!" I said. I had completely forgotten that, unlike in Middle School, all the students at DIHS had to wear a uniform. I looked over at Riku; he seemed to be thinking the same thing. I had more of an excuse though; Riku had at least gone to High School for 9th grade before all the crazy stuff happened. I had been plucked out of my home before the start of 9th grade. Kairi started cracking up. Riku blushed like I've never seen him. I just sat there, bewildered. "well, get to school!" Kairi managed to say through one of her laughing fits. "you don't want to be late" Riku pulled himself together and made a fake laugh type of thing, and then hit the gas as hard as he could, as if driving away from that spot could make him feel better. When we got to school, Kairi walked in like she owned the place. Sure enough, everyone was in uniform but me and Riku. People whispered stuff about us. I'm sure there were a lot of rumors. Kairi led Riku to the senoir hallway, where he reluctently left us. Then she took me to our homeroom, where we received our locker assignments. Mine was right next to hers; our last names only differ by 1 letter. That sucked. Not to have such a close locker, but to stand out so much. I wish I could just melt away. That was probably the one moment where I wished I wasn't the Keyblade Master. I must have looked pretty upset, becuase as I unloaded my backpack, Kairi stopped and asked "Are you alright?" "Oh, yeah, I'm fine." I responded, unconvincingly. "Cheer up." She said. "High School's not that bad. If you need too, make a journal so you can keep track of it all. You'll laugh at some of the stuff you thought was a big deal later." I looked at her and genuinly smiled. "And, you know, the year's not that long. Homecoming is only a month away, which is definatly something you will look forward to..that is, if you have a date." I dropped one of my books and turned to look at her. "Are you trying to-" "Of course I'll go to homecoming with you!" She interupted, and then shut her locker door and walked a little faster then normal to her homeroom. I smiled to myself, unsure of what just happened, and eventually followed her. Then the teacher took attendence. "Sora" She called lazily. "I see you forgot your uniform." "err..." I responded. "That will be 5 detentions." "What?" I responded, shocked. I was in trouble before I even started. "Do not expect to get extra treatement just becuase of who you are. I know you are the Keyblade Master, but that does not mean you are exempt to rules. Go to the office now and get a spare uniform." All the girls but Kairi giggled. Kairi smiled at me weakly. I truged out of the room to the office. When I got there, Riku was there too. 5 minutes later, we had on our uniforms. They were the same as kairi's, only we had to wear Navy blue shorts or pants, a white blouse, and a blue plaid tie. Wow. Riku and I didn't say a word. We got our uniforms and walked back to our classes. 1st period english went by without incident. 2nd period math went by the same. THen was 3rd period science. I walked into the class thinking it wouldn't be so bad after the mild first two. I even talked a little and I was starting to feel normal. But as soon as the bell wrang, that changed. "SORA!" My teacher, with her polish accent, shouted, not even a second after the bell. "Why are you turned around talking? You owe me a 50 page biology report by Monday." I was shocked. I didn't take biology- I missed all of last year. The teacher- Mrs. Sprintskilovsky- immideatly turned around and began writing on the board. Everyone else was silently taking nots. I would have done the same had I not just been told to do something impossible. Instead, I raised my hand. "Yes Sora" She said, without turning around. It seemed like she knew my hand was up when it was only half way in the air. "Umm, I didn't take biology last year...." I said, my voice trailing off once she turned around when I saw her face. "Well then, you won't understand anything once we get to aniclopeliohithenons then, will you?" "No, I won't." I thought, but didn't say. Instead I smiled sheepishly and looked down at my empty notebook. I realized I probably already missed 10 points on a test just from those notes I hadn't copied. I could tell it was going to be a long period. After that, I had lunch, which was a bit refreshing. Then was Social Studies, which I found boring. It was very strange, because they had no mention of Xemnas and Xehanort's studies and those were such a huge part of my own history. It all seemed so distant. Then came Phys. Ed, where I used my keyblade to beast everything in sight when we played dodgeball. But people called me show offy, which killed my ego and put me in a bad mood. Then came french. God I hate french. I understood absolutely nothing the teacher said. Like, even in english, becuase she had such a strong accent. Then when I got a worksheet, I freaked out and tried to copy off of Selphie. She got all mad and told the teacher. Why are girls like that? Then the teacher (I don't know her name; I couldn't understand) came over and yelled at me...which I couldn't understand. But it still made me feel bad. By the time I got out of class, (Which was last period) I was ready to go home. But I still had Cross Country Practice. Kairi convinced me to do this too. She said she did it and was good at it. So I told her I would, and brought the 'Loose workout clothes' she told me too. I put them on and met the team in the Gym. Riku didn't join; he does drama club. So It was me and Kairi. I talked to her and fun for a little bit at the start before the coach came out, but as soon as he did I got quiet. (I had to get used to that to make sure I didn't get assigned any more reports.) Coach is a laid back kind of guy, so he didn't yell. He said that today was an easy day, and were were just gonna do an easy 5. "Oh good. 5 minutes. I have to get started on that report anyway." So, I ran outside into the warm sunshine. I was going pretty fast. I didn't know why everyone else was being so slow; it was only 5 minutes. But once the 5 minutes was up, and I stopped to catch my breath, the rest of the pack (besides Kairi) passed me. I was confused; why run more than you have to? Kairi merely slowed to a jog and asked why I stopped. I told her and she laughed, then said. "No Sora, not 5 minutes. 5 miles" Wow. I felt even dumber than I did that morning. All I could do was smile and get up, and try too go as fast as I could. Kairi let it go without incident, but I couldn't talk to her. I was too out of breath from trying to keep up with her, and we were last on the team. After about 7 minutes, she said "Wanna speed up? I feel slow." and started going faaster. And I couldn't. I finished 15 minutes later than Kairi, and I was completely out of breath. It was the most embarrasing thing ever. After CC, Riku drove me and Kairi home. I wonder how Riku's first day went? He didn't say anything to me all day. (Well, besides his....moment.) I got home and dashed up to my room, ignoring my mother questioning me about my day. I plopped onto my bed and lay there, thinking, for aobut an hour. Then I figured I should've started on my Biology report, so I went over to my desk.... ....only problem was when I started to write I produced this instead. So I guess I have a journal now then. end of day 1 Please tell me what you think! I worked really hard on this. I'll try to write a day every day. Thanks for reading!
Well, in my facnfic he is. :D I don't really think he is. That's just my inner yaoi fangirl coming out.
i loved the story and i like riku being gay thats my inner yaoi fanboy saying that. But still good plot but feels a little like sora bashing no offense though it is good
I wouldn't go as far as to say it wash bashing.... I love Sora! He's awesome! I just find it entertaining to make him be in such insignificant situations when he is such an important person in his world. Like, you know, detentions and gym class? It will get better though, don't worry :D Edit: Sorry I couldn't write today, I had a lot to do, and with Heroes (on NBC) coming back I was cut short on time.
So I guess you could say.. I'm addicted.. once again.. to another one of your stories. Darn you and your good writing!
Wow, first-person to the core! Nice job man. BTW, is the bio teacher in the story a real bio teacher or something cuz it sound unlikely that u came up with it on the spot...
HEHEEE *Dies* I completely forgot about this fanfic!! This was my first one EVER. *Points and laughs at all the spelling and grammar mistakes* Ojeeseokay. Well. I suppose I could continue. Now I've got 3 projects to work on. Great. XD
