This has been bothering me for a while. Has anybody noticed that when teachers keep children after school for not doing their homework, nothing is coming from that? I only find it makes the parents work more difficult. I see the point in making a kid stay after school, for one or two times.

If you're one of those "good students", you are effected by it, but I noticed, that after two or three times of having to stay for small issues, the student doesn't give a damn the next time. Now, that we've got that I'd like to say first of all
    "Health"

Keeping the child after school, also gives them less time to do after-school activites, especially, if its important. Such as therapy, or if you have important spots like hockey, or cooking class. I don't know about other schools, but my teacher won't let you go.
    "Homework"
Homework. Oh, God, Homework. Every kid hates it. They get you started on this whole "health thing" and they give you TONS of homework, you're up till seven, and then its too late to go out, or my favorite day when everyone was up till ONE IN THE MORNING doing the homework. That's a little ridiculous , is it not?

    "Stress"
Since, we're on the homework topic. Lets see about the stress that is caused. Teachers give these tests that you study FOREVER on and fail. Then, they always try to make you mad and aggravate by saying "Grades tell if you studied!" Then you're parents are angry about it, and it throws to much pressure on us. We're just kids. Sure, some of us are in 7th grade, but if you're having 3 tests a day, a lot of homework, you're stressed. Now, mind you, some of us have some bads way of dealing with the stress take for example me: I cut myself. Then the school is on you're a$$, and throws you in a hospitial.

They say you should have a sport to do to relive, some of our parents can't get enough money for that sport. You can go to hell for all they care. I'm not trying to say the schools against, you, I think they should just lighten up on us.

Who else, thinks they should do otherwise with this "School Stuff". Who thinks we shouldn't? What's you're whole opinion?

    7th.

I think morning, and after are a pain in the butt personally, Recess, or lunch since you might not go out, would be best.

Well, I go to catholic school, mind you, my brother went to the high-school, we made a bet, he said he had more homework, high-school, being a high-school, has heavier books, for a month we did this, sorta a test I guess. We weighed our book bags, mine was a good weight of 25 to 30 pounds his only got up to 10-15 pounds.

hmm...well i go to a public school and our books are really heavy. except one textbook. we have 4 textbooks. Hmm..for science I have a long and wide book, our teacher gives us 4 sections every class to read, make notes and answer the questions (usually 1-9 or 1-5).

I'm just saying its going to get harder...just get used to it.

I perfer public school over private. They say that students in uniform do better in school, sorry but, the uniform feeling like &*@&*&# burlap. Yeah sure some students do, if they're fine with a potato sack. The uniforms-personally-piss me off. They are really uncomftorable, and what makes it even better its blue, stressting me out, because where I am the bloods and krips(SP?) are going around killing anyone in blue or red. So it sorta scary. lolz
