Birth by Sleep Destiny Islands Thoughts

Okay, this just came to me looking at another thread:

Right, so we know that the at least Terra and Ven were at both Radiant Garden and Destiny Islands. We know that this takes place 10 years prior to KH. A little math gives us that Kairi was four years old at the time.

Now, we know that Kairi once lived in Radiant Garden with her grandmother. We know that Ansem recognized her as a Princess of the Heart and sent her away when she was a young girl to live in secrecy in Destiny Islands.

You piecing it together the way I was?

What if Terra and Ven (and Aqua?) were the ones who took Kairi to Destiny Islands, by request of Ansem?

And that shadow on the ground next to Ven? What if it was Kairi's mother to say a last goodbye? Which would put Aqua at a slightly higher chance of being Kairi's mother. Not saying that that's what my main thoughts are, but it does raise the percentage....

 

They weren't. Kairi appears there 9 years ago after Xehanort sent her out to use her in order to find the Keyblade. It is in the Ansem Reports.

The game BBS ends 10 years ago before KH. There was no Kairi on DI at the time Terra and Ven were there. It is pretty clear Xehanort sent her out, and then his Heartless went to DI because Kairi had 'found' the Keyblade wielder intended which was Riku. Ansem (DiZ) had nothing to do with it.

I was just answering that Ansem the Wise was not the one who sent Kairi out so none of the 3 chasers would have done the deed. Also, it's possible the 3 chasers don't even live after the 10 years or something happens to each of them since they just disappear, and you have Roxas who looks like Ven show up later in KH2.

Basically, what I was saying was that Xehanort, in the fake Ansem Reports, states that he sent Kairi out because if she was a Princess (which he wasn't 'sure' of) she would be drawn to the Keyblade wielder and so she ended up on Destiny Islands by his hand. It was after this that Riku was probably met by Xehanort's Heartless and coerced since he was in the Secret Cave with Sora as a kid, and Sora left but Riku turned and the door there glowed. Sora and Riku were on their way to find the child that was found and taken in by the mayor, which was Kairi about 8 or 9 years ago, while BBS ends at 10 years ago, and Xehanort (with no memories) sent her out; not Ansem the Wise.

That's what I'm referring to.

 

Okay...so you have definately proven that Kairi was sent out by Xehanort, not Ansem the Wise. I cannot deny that, since it says so in the Ansem Reports. But, there is not official evidence of when Kairi arrived in Destiny Islands, or how long BBS takes. All that we know is that she arrived when she was a young girl, around 4 or 5. So if BBS takes place 10 years before KH1, and takes a long time to finish, the time would be about right for Kairi to be sent away for Xehanort's expiriment.

And since the worlds were still disconnected at this point in time, since Ansem had just opened the Door to Darkness, he would have no way of sending a someone to another world. But it seems obvious that the three knights have a way of traversing the worlds, and could just as easily have taken her away as they could for Ansem the Wise.

So, unless you have other evidence stating that it was less than 9 or 10 years prior to KH1, my theory still stands.

 

... Uh... Wouldn't BBS being 10 years prior to KH1 mean Kairi was still in Radiant Garden?

 

Kairi was 14 in kingdom hearts one. Okay, Birth By Sleep appartnly takes place ten yeards before kingdom hearts one. I really don't see why we know that right when the ten years stopped, Xehanort decided the time was right to send Kairi to another world. And isn't the shadow on the sand umm, Terra?

 

If BBS ends 10 years before KH1, and Kairi was sent out 9 years before KH1, then that estimates Xehanort's time with Ansem to be one year (assuming that Terra is Xehanort). So he managed to gain Ansem's trust, convert the apprentices, and then summon the heartless in one year. Works fast, doesn't he?

Do you think he turned Kairi's grandmother into a Heartless before sending Kairi to Destiny Islands?

 

What? No one's saying anything about Terra being Xehanort. I personally think that they are separate people.

And what does Kairi's grandmother have to do with this?

Okay. I'd like to pose a question here. Can someone please find where it says that Kairi was sent to Destiny Islands 9 years prior to Kingdom Hearts? I cannot remember it ever saying a definate timeframe of when she was sent. But since you guys keep insisting that it says so, I'd like to see this proof.

The only timeframes that I can ever remember hearing are that BBS occurs 10 years before KH1, and that Maleficent overran the world 9 years before KH1. And since Leon and his group talk about Xehanort delving too deeply into the heartless and the darkness and losing his heart, I would assume that happened sometime before the almost-assuredly chaotic run from the heartless. So, Xehanort would have had to send her out more than 9 years ago, as you've been saying.

And, from what the scans have shown, Sora and Riku look the same at the time that Terra was there as when they were in the Secret Place talking about "That new girl at the Mayor's office."
