Has been my favorite band for a while now. Their musci is great and I just love Dave Gahan's voice. It's rather soothing. And their lyrics are very interesting and different for most songs. I also love the fact that they keep true to the genre that they started out in. I can never get enough of them and I haven't heard a song I didn't like <3 So any other Depeche Mode fans here? What's your though on them?
I love Depeche Mode :D One of my favorite songs ever is "Enjoy the Silence", and its one of the only songs that I've heard a remix that actually sounds better (to me) than the original. I need some CD's :<
Why are we not friends? @.@ Yeah I love that song. And the remake is actually pretty good but I wouldn't say better than the original. As for me, oddly enough, I believe my favorite would have to be Master and Servant. That or Policy of Truth. Such great songs. Haha yeah I want to collect their CDs too. So I can hear much more of their songs.
Oddly enough, I'm listening to Policy of Truth right now... But what I personally like about the remix is the addition of more heavy rock elements, which fit perfectly with Gahan's singing style and the overall sound of Depeche Mode :> Also, I always listened to Personal Jesus playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas...
I decided to listen to it too. I had just listened to the whole album I have of them not too long ago and it still wasn't enough. Well yeah that's true. I'd have to agree with you. But I still prefer originals better than remakes for whatever reason. That actually sounds like a great idea. Also, they're music videos are very odd but mix so well with the songs. I love to watch them all the time when I'm on youtube. They have a unique creativity when coming up with them. And my god how I can never turn down seeing/hearing People Are People. First song I heard and fell for. It really speaks to me.
I had never heard of them before this thread, but I've gotta say thankyou! I just watched a few music videos, and they are easily one of my new favorite bands. The song "Wrong" and "Policy of Truth" are amazing.
You're welcome. I wish more people knew about them. They're really great. And oh yes, Policy of Truth is easily on of my favorite songs. There's just something about Dave Gahan's voice that keeps me listening.

Enjoy the Silence, Everything Counts and Never let me down again are my favorites. I actually found them through a Parasite Eve AMV back in 06, odd to consider that they made 'Just Can't get Enough'
I found them as I listened to VH1 Classics a few years ago. I heard People Are People and the I found out later on that I knew more songs than that. Yeah I found that odd as well since it's not the same type of music they have made before. It's more 80s pop. But still a great song in my eyes. They have yet to disappoint me.
Depeche Mode. <3 I actually own their full discography. :3 Loved Violator! I always find it funny that everyone's favourite song is Enjoy the Silence. As far as songs go, I like Around the World hehe.
Do you mean World In My Eyes? I tried finding the song since I had never heard it but it kept lead to the one I mention, which I love. As far as favorites go, I'm more fond of Policy Of Truth, See You, Strangelove, and crazy enough, Master And Servant.
Enjoy the silence was the first song of theirs that I heard and I absolutely loved it! When I started listening to it my Mum became filled with nostalgia and went anf bought their CD which I then stole and listened to. Anyway, I don't have a favourite song by theirs, I have loads that I love: Strangelove, Personal Jesus, People are people, Walk in my shoes etc. However, there are a few that I've listened to that haven't caught my fancy the first time I heard them, they aren't my absolutely favourite band but I do enjoy their music.
I guess we can all agree that Enjoy the Silence is a classic. But my favorite is "A question of time." Somehow whenever I hear that song I feel like doing a dance. :]:lol3:
I love Depeche Mode. Their singer's voice is magnificent. I wish I could remember how I got into them. My favorite songs are probably In Chains, Blue Dress, and World In My Eyes.
