Demonslaying Academy

Natalie grabbed his hand and held it in hers. She wanted the sense that she was safe. She saw her door at the end of the hallway and she just couldn't bring herself to think of what it was she saw.

 

He walked with her toward her door, holding her hand the entire time.

 

She walked through the door and let go of his hand so she cold get on one side of her bed and so he could get on the other side. She sat down on the side of the bed to think for a minute first before heading back to bed.

 

"You want me to get in with you?" he asked, seeing that she left him some room to get in.

 

She nodded.
"That would make me feel much safer," she said then lied down.

 

He got in with her and lay down. He held her in his arms.

 

She kissed him on the lips softly

 

He kissed her back just as softly.

 

She broke it off and leaned her head down and cried softly.

 

"It's okay." he said. He held her closer. "Just let it all out."

 

She wiped her eyes and continued to cry. She couldn't find the right words to say, but she was wanting to say something.

 

"Is there something you want to tell me?" he asked. "If there is, think it through first."

 

"Yeah, i just don't know how to say it," she said.

 

"Think about it and you'll come up with what you want to say." he said.

 

"You won't believe me, but i think it was..." she started to say, but she then thought once more. Would he really believe her?

 

"Yes?" he asked. "What do you think it was?"

 

"I think it was a demon," she said. She tried to think once more about how to explain what sort.
"But it wasn't a regular one that can walk among the living," she said, hoping he would get the idea by her using the word 'living'.

 

"You mean you think you saw a demonic ghost?" he asked.

 

She nodded.
"doesn't sound believable does it?" she asked, feeling a little ridiculous.

 

"Well, it does sound a little absurd, but I believe you." he said.
