Demons of Gaea: Devil May Cry/Final Fantasy VII

"Yeah." CLoud simply responded.

Dante sat at the bar where the strawberry sundae was as he started to eat it and Nero sat on a table. "How was things Raito?" He asked him and Raito looked at him. "Same as always Nero, boring but Barret did insist I stay this time." He said.

 

"I should have known. Barret's always pushing people around and you've been going into fights since you were very little. I was really worried." Tifa smiled as Marlene clung to her leg.

 

Cloud's newly bought flower was in plain sight

Raito messed with his hair a bit. "Anything on your side apart from the Reactor going boom?" He asked him and Nero looked at him. "Just the usual, Demons attacking the public." He said to him.

"Well, at least it was a change from the usual business." Dante said as he was still sat as he stopped eating his sundae, he didn't want to admit it but he missed his business, Devil May Cry and the usual fun packed action every time a client gave him a job.

 

Tifa noticed the flower in his hand and smiled, "Flowers? How nice... You almost never see them here in the slums. But... A flower for me... You don't have to do, Cloud..."

 

"No big." Cloud simply answered and gave it to Tifa as Barret came in.

 

Marlene smiled and ran to her adoptive father, shouting, "Papa!"

 

"Hey there Marlene!" Barret said witha smile and lifted her up as he placed her on his shoulder and looked to everyone in the room. "Get in here, fools!! We're startin' the meetin'!!" He said s he walked to a pinball machien and pulled a lever as it went down as Jessie, Biggs and Wedge leapt down the hole.

"No matter how many times I see it, it always makes me want my place to do something like that." Dante said with a grin as he finished his strawberry sundae and jumped down the hole as did Nero then Raito as Cloud done the same.

 

Mayra followed as Tifa went back behind her bar.

 

"Yo, Cloud! There's somethin' I wanna ask ya. Was there anyone from SOLDIER fighting us today?" Barret asked him as he stopped hitting the punching bag.

""None. I'm positive." Cloud said calmly as Barret responded. "You sound pretty sure."

Cloud just stared calmly at Barret and spoke with no emotion. "If there was anyone from SOLDIER you wouldn't be standing here now."

Barret shook and tried to charge at Cloud but Biggs was holding him back. Don't go thinkin' you so bad jes ‘cuz you was in SOLDIER. Barret then threw Biggs at a wall and Dante was in the line of throwing so he did the only thing that was an option to him, he sidestepped and Biggs unfortunately hit the wall hard.

"That's going to leave a mark..." Nero said as he sweatdropped a bit.

"Yeah, you're strong. Probably all them guys in SOLDIER are. But don't forget that your skinny ass's workin' for AVALANCHE now! Don't get no ideas 'bout hangin' with Shinra." Barret said angrily at him as Cloud walked up to Barret and brougth his face close to his.

"Stayin' with Shinra? You asked me a question and I answered it…that's all. I'm going upstairs. I want to talk about my money." He said and started walking back to the entrance when Tifa had come down.

 

Mayra was listening to music, ignoring the others. Tifa looked at Cloud, stopping him from leaving. "Wait, Cloud!"

 

"Tifa! Let him go! Looks like he still misses the Shinra!" Barret said rudely as Nero looked at him. "That's going a bit too far y'know..." Nero said as Cloud stared at barret, fed up.

"Shut up! I don't care about either Shinra or SOLDIER! But don't get me wrong! I don't care about AVALANCHE or the Planet for that matter!" Cloud said loudly as he left for upstairs leaving a gasp from Jessie, Biggs and Wedge while Dante just kicked his legs up on teh tables with ahnds behind his head and Raito and Nero were just slient as barret started rapidly punching the punching bag, if anyone looked, it could potenially be destoryed before anyone could say Mako.

 

Tifa followed him. "Cloud, listen! I'm asking you, please join us!"

 

"Sorry Tifa..." Cloud said as he was standing there, back to her.

 

Tifa began to cry. "The Planet is dying. Slowly but surely it's dying. Someone has to do something!"

 

Cloud turned around to look at Tifa. "So let Barret and his buddies do something about it. It's got nothin' to do with me." Cloud simply said to her.

 

"So! You're really leaving? You're just going to walk out ignoring your childhood friend?" Tifa shouted at him.

 

"What...?" Sorry... he said to her.

 

"You forgot the promise, too.........." Tifa said softly.

 

"Promise?" Cloud asked, obivously confused.

 

"So you DID forget! Remember, Cloud... It was seven years ago..." Tifa thought back to that day.
