Demons and Heroes

He took it and said "Thanks." He put it on over his shoulders.

 

She smiled...
"You're welcome," she said then headed for the cave entrance/exit...
"I'm gonna get some firewood..," she said smiling..

 

"I'll go with you." he said.

 

Natalie smiled...
"Okay...this shouldn't take too long," she said grinning still.. She walked out and saw a tree next to the cave... She took out her blades and struck at thr trunk of the tree until it fell down..
"Timber," she said jokingly...

 

He took out his sword and cut the tree into firewood.

 

Natalie smiled.. She walked over and kissed Cole for a few seconds.. She broke it off then picked up a few pieces of wood and carried them inside the cave

 

He smiled and picked up the rest of the wood.

 

Natalie set the fire wood down in the cave.. She walked over and helped Cole.. She was shivering a small bit...

 

He set up a fire and hugged her to keep her warm.

 

Natalie smiled and hugged him back... She stared at the fire as this brought back many memories for her.. She sighed then frowned.. Her mood changed quickly which made the small flurries turn into a snow storm....sat back and sat there waiting to fall asleep...

 

jechts eyes opened but they were emptyless he stood up and walked towards natalie and a spot on her chest began to glow

 

"What's wrong?" he asked at this sudden change.

 

Twilight stumbled suddenly, her navy colored eyes fading from dark blue to silver. She went stock still, not moving an inch, not blinking.
Her eyes were open but not seeing the pictures in front of them, Before her eyes, she could see only black. She could hear voices, some she knew, screaming and crying out in her head. Tears streaked out of her eyes but she couldn't stop herself from hearing the tortured sounds gushing in and out of her head.
"Gharanth!" She screamed. She wished she hadn't been cursed with such a talet. To be able to see other people's pain in her own eyes. She shuddered suddenly and her eyes rolled back into her head. She fainted.

 

Natalie looked up at Cole....
"It's nothing," she said then kissed his cheek..

Natlaie looked at Jecht....
"Whats wrong Jecht?" she asked...

 

Gharanth caught her in his arms and laid her on the grass. "What has happened my beloved?" He held her against him and tried to use the healing of the nature orb. A sap appeared from his fingers and he dribbled it in her mouth. "Just to ease what is troubling you and help you cope with the pain." He realised the ease with which he summoned the powers. What was he turning into and how could she love such a monster?

 

Twilight gasped, eyes shooting open. They had returned to their dark, navy blue shade but were wide with fear. She panted and gasped as she stared up at Gharanth, who looked horrified.
"Gharanth..." She gasped.

 

"What's the matter and who is hurting you? I will stop the pain if you tell me whats happening. I won't let you suffer like this." He held her against him, tears in his eyes.

 

Twilight shook her head. "You can't stop it, my friend." She sighed, trying to slow her breaths. "No one can stop it." She reached up and touched his face with the tips of her long fingers.

 

"Then share the pain with me. I can take it. I don't know how but please lessen your burden. I would take all your pain if I could so that you would never suffer again."

Gharanth kissed her cheek gently. He had never felt so helpless.

 

Twilight's eyes widend at the very thought of giving Gharanth any pain at all. That was the last thing she ever wanted. She shook her head hard. "I will never ask you to take the pain. It is MY burden to carry and not yours." She took his hand. "Do not worry about me. This actually happends alot." She closed her eyes. "We will talk tonight. For now, let's not think of this."
