jecht broke the sence by running thru and looking around

"hey we got trouble im sensing something dark nearby"

 

"Tired..." Twilight muttered, then she cleared her throat and looked up at him. "Sorry...im...not a morning person...my name's Twilight for a reason." She winked at him and gratefully took the drink. "So...what evil do you think you'll defeat today?"

 

"I feel it too." he said.

 

"I hope none. I would like to have a quiet day. I will hunt for you. What would you like? Just for once I will not be chasing or killing anyone. I want to just relax. I have been fighting for so long that I've forgotten to appreciate how beautiful the world is."

 

"Hunting is...fun for you?" She asked. "Well...i've never really hunted myself. Could i come perhaps?...if it's okay, i mean...i don't want to be a bother."

 

"Hunting is the only thing I do well. The secret is not to make the prey suffer. I hunt what I need to survive. Of course you can come along. I would not want it any other way."

 

Twilight grinned thankfully and took a sip of her drink, huddled up in Gharanth's cloak. The corner of her mouth lifted into a half smile at the warmth.
She sighed and closed her eyes.
"What are you thinking, Gharanth? You are always so confusing to me." She smiled and looked into his eyes, her own Navy ones seeming to search right into his soul. "Why are you so self critical?"

 

"I am thinking that you are too kind to this poor sinner." He smiled and allowed her to win this battle of wills. "I'm also thinking that I have for a long time been less than ideal. You could say that I do not conform to requirements as a decent being. Why, what are you thinking?"

 

"Oh...nothing..." She answered his question with an embarassed shrug. She then puzzled at his words for a moment. She looked up into his eyes and smiled suddenly. "You don't look the least bit scary to me."
She huddled closer to him as the wind blew. "Now please...let's not talk of such things on this day."

 

Without thinking he put his arm around her and drew her against him for warmth. "The weather is bitterly cold. You should dress in something warmer if you want to hunt. You might have to wait perfectly still for quite some time. I would not like you to catch cold."

Twilight nodded but sat for a moment curled up in Gharanth's warm arms. She then cleared her throat and stood, wondering if he had seen the face she had given him without thinking.
She strolled to her tent and stepped in to change with a small smile against her lips.

Dameon extended his arm..pointin at the river..his hand was open... He then tightened it and built up the water pressure.. it broke the ice and flooded on down towards the others...
"Hmph..if thats really her...then she's bound to be close..." he said to himself...


Natalie felt the ice breaking.. She looked at the Cole..
"Get out of here now!" she yelled as she pushed him onto the other side.. but before she moved her feet, the ice broke underneath and she fell in..

 

jecht jumped forward grabbing both of them and jumping onto dryland ..... right in front of dameon

 

Twilight stepped out of her tent next to Gharanth, seeing the water rushing towards them.
"Gharanth!"

 

"It's alright Twilight, stand behind me." Gharanth Hurled fire at the oncoming wave, turning the water to steam which drifted off in a huge cloud. "I won't let anything harm you."

His eyes gleamed as he kept her safe and warm. "You don't realise I'd die for you" he muttered to himself, hoping she hadn't heard.

 

Twilights eyes were wide and thankful and she gave him a tight, warm hug. She smiled as she pulled back, looking into his eyes.
"Nothing stops you...does it?" She hugged him again. "You're invincible."
Then she turned and closed her tent flap. "Are we leaving to hunt soon?"

 

"I'm not invincible, just strong enough to protect you. Let's go hunting. I will be with you all the time so you will be in no danger." Gharanth blushed at being hugged. It awakened memories of friends and family within him. He wanted to have the old life again, when he belonged and wasn't an outcast.

 

Twilight laughed lightly, gentally. "Trouble does seem to be following us...doesn't it?" She fell into step next to him. "Just tell me what to do."

 

"Have you got a weapon such as a bow? You will need it. We move silently and keep hidden. There is prey in the thicket ahead. The water drove them there to safety. We kill one only as that is all we need to eat."

 

Twilight thought, then she fished a short blade out of her boot. "Er...i only have throwing daggers." She looked sheepishly up at him. "That's all i was tought how to use...sorry..."
