Demons and Heroes

"No im not angry at you..." She breathed slowly, closing her eyes again. "I cant be angry at you...especially not for telling the truth. I saw your friends faces, the way they looked at you...you don't think you have a family but you do. I know you do." She opend her eyes and looked at him, Tears were clear in them but she held them back. "And i'm sure they'd like you despite your past. And if they don't, then they aren't worth it anyways. I don't care about what you have done. I care about what you choose to do now."

 

Gharanth smiled. "It seems I can never be alone. There is always someone to teach me that I am more than the sum of my past experiences. Maybe the world will settle down and I will find the peace I seek. Not now, but soon I think." He poked the fire thoughtfully with a stick. "Once I was a completely different person, maybe he'll re-emerge some day."

 

"I'm hopeing he does too." Twilight wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and smiled. "Why dont you ask him a question for me...ask him if he could use any help comming back."

 

Gharanth smiled and rested his hand on her shoulder. "I just need to believe that he still exists. I've spent so long running away from myself that I've forgotten who I am. I need to remember the best parts of the old me."

 

Twilight squeezed his hand. "Im with you all the way. Whatever you choose. Whatever it takes. But you gotta help, Gharanth. Please... if we're gonna do this, you need to trust yourself and me." She looked at him pleadingly.

 

"What do you need me to do? I am already more relaxed. I wouldn't have been sitting here in a camp with others previously and it isn't going to happen overnight. There is a lot of bad stuff to get over. I'm taking it one step at a time. There are no miracles, believe me I know."

 

"One step at a time is a good way to go, my friend." She yawned in the dark, finally tired. The cold finally seeping into her skin.
"I'll see you in a few hours."
She gave him a quick hug and turned to go into her tent. "Good night, Gharanth. Try to get some sleep."

ooc: Im gonna be gone for like. An hour or two. Ill be back later though. I find that i cant stay away from this forum. C ya later!

 

Gharanth smiled and went back to tending the fire and humming. Twilight was a very special kind of person, an optimist. There were few of those around. Gharanth knew that things would definitely be brighter.

Twilight blinked as the first lights filtered through her tent flap. She was in no mood to get up but did so anyways.
She pulled on her cloak and brown boots and pulled open the door to step outside. The sun was shining today. That was good. Maybe spring would arrive soon enough.
She heard a quiet noise and raised an eyebrow, making sure Gharanth was still asleep, she headed towards it. She would be back before he woke up adn there was no point to worry him about it. Right?

 

jecht backflipped dodging the armors sword this fight had been going on for hours with little success

"crud his skin is his armor how do i beat him"

he then noticed how the white orb on the hilt of his sword was glowing

'that must be the orb'

jecht shot forward and grabbed the sword taking it away the suit of armor collaped with out the orb to power it jecht pulled the orb out of the sword and turned and walked away getting on his motorcycle

 

Gharanth woke up and yawned. He must have drifted off sitting by the fire. He noticed the tents were still all in place. They were all still in bed. Diving into the cold river he caught breakfast. It would be a pleasant surprise for them, especially Twilight. Preparing the fish was easy and this time he cooked them in a pan with herbs. Making some unleven bread, he waited for the group to rise.

 

jecht was driving when he smelled something good he turned towards it but stopped when he saw gharath he gribbed the light orb turning back to the road

'that was close'

 

Gharanth looked at him and then turned away. So the idiot actually had an orb. He certainly would abuse it as he had no appreciation of it's power or value. He shook his head and carried on preparing breakfast for the others.

 

jecht was driving when a black limmo pulled along side him

"do you have it?"

"yea yea here"

a hand reached out of the limmo window and jecht handed him the orb

"very good ive dicided that if you get me one more orb then i let her go understood"

"gotcha"

the limmo drove off jecht thought about it he didnt have time to try to track down another orb on his own he turn back in the direction of gharath and headed that way

 

Twilight stopped walking. Maybe she'd just imagined the noise. She was well away from camp by now and frowned, deciding she should turn back. She hoped Gharanth wouldn't notice her absence. If she hurried, she may be able to get back. That was...if he wasn't already awake.

 

jecht pulled up about 15 feet from gharath

"hey you demon where is the metal orb?"

 

"Never heard of it and you are not welcome here. I will defend these people if you try anything. I suggest you go look for it. I am really not interested. Why? Have you lost your orb already? Careless!!"

 

ooc: i have been busy since school started, so wuts happenig?

 

ooc: Well Cole and Natalie are together. Gharanth now has 4 orbs, though one is due to him losing his friend Aroe and he is still grieving. Aroe challenged him to remember his emotions and he has since met Twilight who is helping him change. He is currently camped with Twilight, Cole and Natalie and acting civilised! He has the fire, dark, nature and wind orbs. As for the others, you will have to check with them.

 

Twilight's eyes scanned the forest. It wasn't like her to get lost. But everything had been buzzing around in her head on the way here and she hadn't been focusing on where she was going. Her brow creased and she stepped carefully over the icy ground.

ooc: the site is acting up for me so i may get logged out by accident. If i do. Ill be on tomorrow or maybe even later tonight.
