Demons and Heroes

Twilight smiled genuinly and nodded. "Gharanth, what a nice name. And I carry no orbs. And if you carry as many as i think you do, it may be you who needs protection." She winked. "And no curse is going to scare me."
She started forward but stopped.
"Do you have anything to do before we head west. It is only a twenty minute walk to the camp but if you have anybody to see then i am ready to wait. I hadn't wanted to go home right away anyways."

 

"I have nothing to sort. Yes, I have 4 orbs - fire, darkness, wind and nature. All that power means nothing though. I am a trained warrior with a dark past. My crimes are unforgivable. Sometimes I have difficulty living with myself."

 

"You shouldn't have trouble living with yourself." She stepped over some roots. "You seem to have much honor and hope...if you look deep enough." She sighed. "And you have so much truth in your eyes. I do not see a criminal. I see a confused man who needs faith."

 

"My friend, if I told you of the evil things I have done in the past you would kill me here and now. I am not proud of what I did but I also know that you cannot change the past, only improve the future. I once thought my heart died with the one I loved, but I have since learned I still feel."

 

"I do not think i would kill you. I have seen evil people, and you are not one of them, at least not at this time. I once met a man who's brother was deamon, and his father and him kicked him right out of the house. That is evil, for they still have no regrets. You may have had your share of crimes and more, but it's now that counts."

 

"Now I am neither good nor evil in my view. I do not let people die needlessly but will not fight to make others stronger and corrupted by power. I have the orbs but I do not seek personal power, merely to keep them from those who would abuse them. Once I was young and passionate, now I am older and wiser. I see the world through tired eyes."

 

"You do not look old." Twilight turned to face him, her eyes watching his. "And one day you will see that all is not lost from the world. I will show you. Give the world time and you may see that although there is evil, it is not such an evil place. Now come and rest and we will talk tomorrow."
Twilight turned back around and started walking. She wanted to help him if only he would let her.

Gharanth smiled and followed her. He had found a kind soul who would give him a chance. This was a rare thing in life and he vowed silently to protect her. He might be world weary but he knew the light of goodness when he saw it. He had seen it before, but that was so long ago and it was cruelly snuffed out.

Aldon:
*is barely able to get out of the deathtrap area*

That orb must be in there somewhere......

*he passes out*

Aldon2:
So the orb of metal is in there?
Ha, your a weakling!

*starts walking away*

Well I'm not going to get it for him, I'm going to enjoy my freedom.

*sees Gharanth and a new person, but Dark Aldon noticed something different about Gharanth*

Something's wrong here.....

*starts to walk toward them*

 

He smiled and went with her. He saw Gharanth and someone else over there.

OOC: I'm back!

 

Gharanth looked up and saw Natalie and Cole. He smiled and waved. He tried to be happy but the pain still ate at his heart.

 

He waved back at him. "Hey! How are you doing?" he asked.

 

"Making a new friend and grieving the passing of an old one. Life is full of cycles. Come and join us. I will not attack you."

BIC: Natalie waved back at Gharanth with a smile..

 

"I know you won't, I trust you."

 

Natalie's smile got bigger and she giggled...
"I know you would never harm us," she said then looked at Cole... She forgot she was still holding his hand.

 

Gharanth saw them holding hands and smiled. With all the pain in the world there was always hope. "Are you hungry? I was just about to fish and start cooking."

 

"Sure!" he said, "I'll help too!"

 

Gharanth stripped to his trousers and piled the rest of his clothes on the bank. Diving into the water he emerged with two large fish. Tossing them onto the bank he dived back in. He emerged again with two fish, grinning. "The secret is to think like a fish. Become the fish to catch the fish." He climbed out and bowed to them. "It's warm so I'll just dry off." He lit a fire and began to cook.

 

"Guess you don't need me." he said, sitting down.
