Natalie then felt a pain in her chest... She fell to her knees...
"Uhh. The orb..whats happening?" she thought...

 

"I should go now." he said. He left and found Natalie. He ran to her side and asked "You okay?"

 

"Fools, all of them. They play their little games and break their fragile hearts. They will lose everything."

 

"Yeah.. I'm fine.. I don't know what happened," she said as she stood up...

 

"You were ambushed by someone perhaps? A demon probably. We have a habit of turning up suddenly. I guess you are carrying something he desires like an orb. Don't worry Sweetling, I guessed you had one a long time ago."

 

"Are you being nice or sarcastic? I can never tell." he said.

 

"I can't remember what just happened...but, yes I do carry an orb.. It's inside me..." she said..

"Who? Me or the girl? It's ok Sweetling, I carry mine inside me as well. It's safer."

 

"You." he said to Gharanth.

 

Gharanth began to laugh until tears filled his eyes and he held his sides. "Didn't your mother teach you about us demons? Apparently we are all evil. We are taught the same about you by the way."

 

"I am not evil, just lazy." he said.

 

"Not you personally, humans in general. The Ego has landed and his name is Cole! I love you guys so much, you are such a joke at times."

 

"I resent that!" he said.

 

"Just telling it as I see it buddy! There is no way I could let that slide. So you don't understand me but neither does most of the population. So you want to kill me? Take a number and join the queue." Gharanth played idly with a small fireball.

 

"I never said I wanted to kill you."

 

"May I suggest you buy larger size underwear next time as yours are obviously too tight and making you tetchy. I don't mean literally. Ever heard of sarcasm and irony?"

 

"My underware fits fine and I know what sarcasm is! I just can't tell the difference!"

 

"Man, you're hopeless. I can't believe I thought I could help you. I'm going soft in my old age . Well goodbye kiddies, people to kill and things to see you know."

 

"Sure, whatever softy." he said.

 

"By the way, have a leaving present. Catch!" Gharanth hurled the fireball at him and walked away.
