Demons and Heroes

Natalie looked at Yochi...
"Thanks," she said softly..

 

Yochi shivered and his bare chest was a tint of blue. "Your welcome...How do you feel?"

 

Before she said anything, she passed out, due to the amount of blood loss..

 

Yochi cut Natalie's wrist and then cut his and let blood flow his blood flow into her.(his blood type was o)Finally he started to get dizzy so he tied up His and Natalie's wrists and sat back.

 

Aroe felt as if the fire in his heart had been snuffed out. He'd failed. He'd hurt her. His thoughts kept straying to that horrible moment when He'd felt Natalie's blood on his own hands.
He squeezed his eyes shut screaming her name into the air and causing a flock of birds to leave their trees and fly away.

 

Natalie soon woke up...She sat up at looked at Yochi...She smiled at him...

 

Yochi smiled but collapsed onto the ground. His loss of blood made him weak and he couldn't sit up. His chest was blue from the cold and Hypothermia had set it.

 

Gharanth woke and began to climb the steps up to the temple. He guessed that they were all still bickering like children. He snorted in disgust. No real demons there. 'I wonder if any of them are dead yet' he thought with a grin on his face. They certainly deserved it.

 

Aldon2:
So you finally came for the orb?

*Dark Aldon is on top of the steps in front of Gharanth*

I have to warn you about the trap...

 

"Thanks. I'm curious, why are you so eager for me to get the orb? You know I want to keep it and I will keep it. Is it to stop the pathetic heroes getting it?"

 

Aldon2:
I have no real physical form....
So why would I need the orb?

I just don't want it in the hands of my other half.
Since your the only demon around here without feelings, I told you about orb.
Now about that trap...

*The dark Aldon throws a pebble into the entryway, the pebble is absorbed into darkness*

The only way around it is to make a new doorway...

*Dark Aldon's Darkness creates a portal*

This portal leads inside, but once through this portal will not work anymore.
The only way to escape after that.....is with the power of the orb!

 

"I like the odds." Gharanth ran through the portal. This was going to be a real test. The demon inside wasn't going to be a wimp like the others. He drew his sword and moved forward.

 

Aldon2:
*outside*

I'm interested in this one...
I'll challenge him to see his new power after this, but.....can he defeat one of the demons holding an orb?

*touches the wall of the temple*
*it tries to damage him*

I would get it myself, but....I would pass out and disappear, my other side would want that....

*the portal Dark Aldon created collapsed*

 

Gharanth moved swiftly and quietly. He was used to fighting and stealing. The corridor ended with a huge set of doors. Gharanth opened one with ease and slipped inside. This was the main hall.

 

Aldon2:
I'll be back when he is done!

*he fades away*

 

Gharanth sensed three demons in the room, not including him. He grinned and charged at the first one, hurling fire. This was obviously the weakest demon and he avoided it's attacks easily. It was a test he thought as he finished it. They would only get harder. He was ready for the second demon. "Bring it on."

 

Off Topic:
Just here so you don't have to stop....

 

Gharanth raised his sword in time to block the attack from the second demon. 'Smart' he thought. He twisted and burst into flame, using the heat to drive it back. This one was tougher and managed to get a few strikes in. He eventually set fire to it and watched it die. The last one would be hard work.

He sensed the final demon rather than saw it. Invisible he realised. He could not rely on his eyes and infravision was no good to a demon fighting with fire. He would have to close his eyes and rely on his other senses. He fought hard, slashing and hurling fire, though he knew this demon was at least a match to him. His arms and shoulders bled and he was getting tired, but he wouldn't quit. This demon would make a mistake eventually. They faced off until Gharanth realised a weakness as the demon only attacked to the right. The left side was weak. Finally a thrust of the sword to the left was answered with a scream, followed by nothing. Gharanth grabbed the orb and slumped exhausted. He would rest before going outside as he had no doubt that the sneaky creature was waiting to attack him. He hadn't lived this long by trusting people.

 

Aldon2:
*looking through a viewing portal*

So he has done it.
I wonder how long he will stay in there.
If he stays in there too long, that dark demon may come back to life....

 

Gharanth got up feeling refreshed. He now had the dark orb and an attitude to match. He smiled and thought about the powers it would give him. He would try dimension walking and see where he ended up. He strode confidently into nothingness and passed across to a dark and fiery world. "So this is where I belong" he said to himself.
