Demons and Heroes

Yochi jumped back and rushed. He swung again and again. His breathing became ragad(sp?) and he slowed a little. "This is between Aroe and me," he shouted to Natalie," I don't want you hurt."

 

Aroe went to attack Yochi. He was tireing.
"I'm not fighting you, Natalie! And it isn't cause your a girl! You're very strong and perfectly capable!"

 

"THEN FIGHT ME!" she shouted as she tried to slash at him again..

 

The slash Natalie threw was faster than he'd expected and it cut across his side. He cried out, biteing his lip and continueing to fight Yochi.

 

Yochi dodged it and slashed Aroe's arm, getting blood to flow out. He grinned.

 

Aroe watched the blood stain his arm but the one on his side, the one Natalie had given him, hurt more, still, he attempted to attack Yochi.

 

Natalie then attempted to slash at him again...
"Why are we even fighting you? what do you want?" she asked...

 

"He has a fricken orb! Doesnt he!???!" Aroe drew in a breath of pain as his side pulled. He was really only trying to let out some anger. But an orb would be a nice touch.

 

she folded her arms...
"I don't think he does," she said...She looked at him..
"You'd fight him for an orb, but you wouldn't fight me for one?" she asked..

 

Aroe stalled, blades falling to his sides as he watched her, forgetting about Yochi for a moment.
"I didn't want to hurt you. If your orb is really inside you...I could never hurt you..." His face begs her not to be mad.

 

"Why don't you want to hurt me?" she asked..

 

Aroe's mouth worked up and down but no words came out. He could feel Yochi still attempting to fight him but didn't block. He just watched Natalie helplessly.

 

a Tear went down Natalie's cheek...
"If I were any guy you would just kill me and take the orb...but since I'm a girl, yu're too much of a chicken to," she said folding her arms...

 

"That's not true, Natalie...it's NOT cause your just any girl...it's that..." Aroe stops. Reminding himself again that he was a deamon and she was perfect.

 

"Its that you love me...isn't it?" she asked

 

Aroe couldn't move. She'd said the exact words he hoped she didn't guess. What was he supposed to say? He couldn't tell her the truth. She was afraid of deamons. Her own father was killed by one.
Aroe remembered his own parents, both slain by humans. But Natalie was different.

Aroe took a shakey step back and took into the sky, not looking back at her. He'd see her again. Maybe sometime soon.

BIC: Natalie looked down as a tear went down her cheek...
"He loves me....but I can't love him..I just can't," she said as more tears flowed down her cheeks...

 

Torque: That boy, he's got the flutes for ya.

 

"You didn't think I noticed?" she asked...She sighed...

 

Yochi grimaced and clutched his side. Blood was seeping out and staining his shirt, he groaned.
