Demons and Heroes

Torque smelled something burning near by. The smell was all too familiar to him, the smell of something burning over and over again was part of his past, part of him. He traveled forward and found someone in the cave.

"Excuse me, who are you?"

 

"The Sugarplum Fairy! Who are you and what do you want? Food and shelter I suppose. Well this isn't a hotel."

 

"I'm sorry, I don't know where I am...can you help?"

 

Gharanth looked at the other Demon, lost and confused meant that he could be manipulated. "Welcome to the homeless shelter. I'm actually Gharanth. You may or may not have heard of me, I really couldn't care. Have some bear meat."

 

Natalie soon woke up...her eyes still glowing blue...She looked around then looked at Gharanth...
"You saved us.....Why?" she asked sitting up..

 

Cole fell asleep in the snow.

*He sees a cave entrance with light coming from it*

"Don't ask. Just don't try to get me to explain, I can't. By the way, the story I told you is true. I really was the General. That was a long time ago though. Lets just leave it at letting you live to fight another day, ok."

 

"Thanks, so are you a demon? I'm looking for other like me."

 

Aldon:
Is any one in this cave?!!!!

 

"Gah! Only the world and his wife. I'm thinking of moving to a more select neighbourhood." Gharanth chewed on some bear meat and hurled a fireball at the wall for no other reason than to vent his anger. "You are not welcome though."

 

She nodded...
"We will never speak of this," she said..

 

"Thank you" he muttered. Gharanth had used his own weakness to goad another and now he realised it was a bad move. So he once had feelings and cared. They all destroyed it. People were cruel and unfeeling, so he must be the same. His heart was as cold as the snow outside.

 

Natalie started to cough but she covered her mouth with her hand so she wouldn't get anyone else sick... She looked over at Gharanth...

"This whole thing is my fault," she said folding her arms then looked at the ground...

 

Aldon:
Could I ask you a favor?
Can I touch the orb of fire?
I know you have it....
I just want to touch...it....

 

"No kid, it's called fate. It happens, live with it. No one causes what will happen, it just does. Get my drift? We are all pawns in some greater game. I'm a hunter, thats my part. Either you are a hunter or the hunted."

"No. Firstly I don't trust you and secondly it isn't physically possible. I'm not explaining why but just believe me."

 

Torque couldn't control himself, he raised his Shotguns and said "GIVE ME THE ORB OR SOMEONE WILL DIE!"

 

"Then I guess I'm the hunted," she said..she felt cold for some reason..A shiver went up her spine and she was shaking...

All I want to do is get rid of all this snow....
