Demons and Heroes

Gharanth smiled to himself. One little truth and he had caused more damage than he ever could with lies. He was glad that he had turned his back on his emotions. There was one less weakness for him. he had been a slave to them once. He had since learned that they caused nothing but trouble.

 

Walks out of nowhere. "What is this place"

 

Natalie fell asleep on the ground...She started dreaming.. She began to have nightmares...It started to snow again..but it became a blizzard...And a hard one by the looks of it..The worser her nightmares were the worser the storm got...

 

Gharanth found shelter in a cave. The weather was appalling but he was fine here. He destroyed the animal that was the previous occupant and cooked it over a fire. At least he wouldn't be hungry. He settled down to rest. Tomorrow would mean a lot of traveling.

 

Aroe had been only flying a while but the snow was comming hard and fast. He realized it was Natalie's doing. He knew she didn't like him but by the storm, she was trying to kill him or something. Did she really hate him that much?
It didn't matter. He couldn't hurt her, even if she was trying to kill him in the storm. He landed slowly, knowing my couldn't fly straight in the storm or even see. But it was comming down even harder on the ground, and soon enough, he lay down, frozen to the bone, and waited for Natalie to finish her will to kill him.

 

Natalie's nightmares continued to get worse...Soon the snow covered her whole body... The fire had burned out and her body temerature had gone down reapidly...her breathing still slowed down and her heart pounded slowly....

 

Aroe shivered under the snow barely aware of the flicker of a heartbeat in his mind. It was Natalie again. Natalie in trouble. He tried to move but he realized that he himself may be in trouble as well. Natalie needed saving, even if she wanted him dead. He needed to help her. He needed.... His heart fluttered in his chest a bit and he closed his eyes and fell unconsious, muttering slowly.
"i'm sorry, Natalie..."

BIC: Cole woke up and said "I've got to stop falling asleep, I'm way too lazy." He got up and went looking for Natalie.

 

Natalie could actually feel the coldnes of the blizzard...Her nightmare was right before her father died...She couldn't help but scream out making the blizzard winds faster

 

He felt the winds and heard her sream. "What's going on!?" he yelled.

 

Gharanth fell into a light sleep, warm and cosy. The entire cave was at a comfortable temperature and his body created the heat to keep it constant. He dreamt of the past and how weak he had been. Love was overrated. He was better off as a lone hunter.

 

Aroe listened to her screaming in his head. She needed help. Something he couldn't give her. He hoped one of her friends was near. Maybe they could help her live. Maybe someone could help him live. But who would? Not Gharanth that was for sure. Not Natalie, It was her trying to kill him. Not any other deamon. He was alone.

 

She stopped having nightmares about how her father died..She then started having nightmares of hr...being killed by a demon...The blizzard was now more intense than ever...She was buried under at least 3 feet of snow...

 

Aroe wondered farther into Natalie's head. It was just an extra skill he'd picked up. To read dreams and get into them. He figured if he was dieing, it couldn't hurt to know why.
He saw a deamon much like himself, towering over Natalie who's face was contorted with fear and pain. The deamon was killing her.
Aroe shook his head, realizing Natalie was dreaming. "Stop it!" He cried at the deamon. "Stop it please!"

 

Gharanth could sense something was wrong, but he did not understand it. Years of hatred and killed emotions had deadened him to the meanings of his senses. 'Must be the weather' he thought.

 

He was blown back and buried in snow.

 

Natalie continued to cry out and Aroe faught to get to her but he couldn't reach her.He cried but no one seemed to hear. It was no wonder Natalie hated Deamons with these nightmares. He watched her cower in her dream and wanted to help . Trembleing, he stood next to her, obliterating the deamon before her. It's alright, Natalie! You're safe! It's okay! Then his body gave a sudder and he remembered his real body was buried in feet of snow. He was pulled out of the dream by force.

Gharanth woke with a start. He looked out of the cave. He could not explain his need to venture out. He walked out and used his heat to stop himself freezing. The wind howled around him and he could sense the presence of two figures where he had left the girl and the demon. Why hadn't they moved. Fools. He heated the area to melt the snow, picked them up and fought his way back to the cave. Damn, he was getting soft in his old age. He would kill them once they had recovered.

 

Natalie then opened her eyes as they glowed light blue...a lighter color than her eyes...The blizzard stopped suddenlly... Natalie threw Aroe out of her head then closed her eyes..She laid there slowly dieing...The color in her face seemed lost...she was shivering and her heartbeats slowed down...

 

Gharanth realised that he could sense another life force. How many of the stupid heroes were trying to kill themselves today? He dug in the snow and threw the one who had called himself Cole over his shoulder. Trudging back he dumped him unceremoniously in the cave next to the others. He lits the fire and sat staring at the flames. Why did he bother? They would only try to kill him once they recovered.
