Demons and Heroes

"Dangerous...in what sort of way?"

 

"I'm not sure, trap triggers or just plain unstable. This is a very old temple and I just feel that something is wrong in this area. Just don't wander off to explore."

 

"Never. I plan to stay right next to you till we get out of this aweful place."

 

Something started to creak and the wall began to move. "I have a really bad feeling about this." Gharanth frowned and held his sword ready.

ooc: Got to go. Goodnight.

 

Twilight nodded in agreement, drawing a short feather looking dagger from it's sheath. She hadn't used it in who knows how long, months she figured. Maybe that was about to change.

 

"Stay behind me. Anything could happen." Gharanth crept forward and suddenly ran back, grabbing Twilight and running out just as stakes shot out from the floor. "Nasty."

 

Twilight looked back at where the stakes had shot from. "Nice reflexes..." She mumbled, trying to lighten the moment.

 

"I wanted to protect that which is precious to me. We can pass now the stakes are raised." Gharanth smiled at his bad pun. Watch yourself with the points and splinters."

 

She giggled lightly. "A splinter is the last thing im worried about, dear Gharanth, but thank you for the concern."

 

"Well I'm allowed to worry about you so don't stop me. These stakes would impale you had you been in the wrong place. I'm getting too old for all this."

 

"I know old Gharanth and you aren't even halfway there."

 

"I fully intend to live a very long and productive life, leaving behind a family line of my own and a legacy of doing good."

 

Twilight nodded. "I too hope for the same thing. Such a life would be one from a dream, a dream i'm willling to go for."

 

"Well they say that if you really believe in your dream and wish hard enough then your dreams will come true. Perhaps we should wish upon a star? A shooting one if possible."

 

Twilight sighed. "Yeah...that wish apon a star thing never really worked for me."

 

"Perhaps you just haven't found your star yet. They have a finite amount of wishes each you know. Maybe if we both wish upon the same star then one of our wishes will be granted. I like to think that there is enough magic and love in the world to make everyone happy, if they can find it."

 

ooc: I can't stay long but ill be back a little later.

Twilight smiled at Gharanth. He always knew what to say to make her happy. Even where they were heading into a dark booby-trapped tunnel.

 

Gharanth knew that she must be uncomfortable here though he had to admit to himself that he felt a thrill at the danger. "Never mind about what's ahead. I will get us through this."

 

Twilight peared into the darkness of the hallway that lay ahead, waiting for them. She sighed.
'Now or never.'

 

"Let's go then. We might as well face the next challenge."
