Demons and Heroes

Nova sits along the lakeside.

 

"When you die, it's feels like a part of me has died as well."

 

She hugged him once more.
"I am sorry you feel like that, but I come back. I hate the feeling of being dead. But I will come back. Cole, I want you to kill me right now. Take my orb, and try to cope," she said.

 

"I could never do that to you!" he said, shocked she would tell him to do such a thing.

 

She held his hand
"Cole. Remember, if you can't, just put the orb back in myself. Please do this, I want you to know I will come back. I always will," she said.

 

"I-I can't. I don't want to." he said. He started to cry.

 

She felt horrible.
"I...I'm sorry Cole," she said. She felt guilty, then turned and started to walk away. She didn't want to cause him saddness

 

"Please, don't go." he said.

 

She stopped a second.
"Cole, please. I need to do this. I w ill be back. I always am," she said then continued walking.

 

He fell to his knees and cried harder.

 

Natalie walked, trying not to look back. She finally made it so far that she was in an open area. she started a blizzard, just in that small area.
"forgive me Cole," she said, as tears streamed down her face. She took the orb out of her body, and her limp body fell to the ground, with the orb clenched in her hand. The snow slowly started covering her body

 

He got up and went after her. He saw her lifeless body on the ground. He grabbed the orb and put it back inside her.

 

Natalie felt her life back, but she just lay there. She did not want to wake up at the moment

 

He kissed her and said "Please wake up.", still crying.

 

Natalie opened her eyes softly.
"w-why did you bring me back?" she asked softly.

 

"Because I love you and I don't want you to be dead."

 

She held his hand.
"Cole....just kill me... I don't want to live," she said

 

"What!? Why not? Don't I make you happy?"

 

She started crying.
"I love you so much Cole, I don't want to cause you unhappiness by asking you to do something you don't want to. I made you cry," she said still crying.

 

"The reason why I didn't do it is because I love you too much to kill you. I cried because I was shocked you would even suggest I do that."
