Demons and Heroes

"Oh my gosh!" Twilight ran up to him, eyes full of concern and guilt. "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done that. Are you alright?"
She felt so horrible.

 

She nodded.
"I feel a demonic presence. It just, came out of no where. Do you think Jecht is okay?" she asked concerned

 

"Don't worry. It's my stupid fault for not concentrating. It's only twisted and I will be back soon enough. I must look terrible."
The front of his body was completely brown from the mud. "Look on the bright side, mud is good for the skin."

 

"Who cares? He's just a big jerk." he said.

 

Twilight tryed to force a laugh but couldn't, leaning against him and ignoreing the mud he was coated with. "I still feel terrable for doing it." She mumbled.

 

"Please don't." Gharanth raised her chin and kissed her gently on the lips. When he moved away she had mud on her face and nose. "Now lets try again." He ran behind some pillars and used them as shelter as he ran from one to another.

 

It took a moment for Twilight to put together what was going on. Gharanth's kisses always did that to her. She blinked and stood up, raising her palm to throw some water.

 

This time Gharanth dodged quickly and kept the pillars between him and Twilight. he was not such an easy target this time.

 

"I still hope he is okay. I think he is just confused," she said.

 

Twilight tried and tried but just couldn't seem to hit him. He was a tough apponent. She sighed a little. "Okay Gharanth! You win!" she laughed.

 

"Maybe." he said.

 

"Well maybe you could use some of that water of yours to wash the mud off. This will be harder as you need to control the velocity of the water. You don't want to knock me backwards, only wash off the mud." He stood in the open and closed his eyes ready.

 

Twilight took a breath, trying to controle the temperature of the water as well as the volocity. She didn't want him drenched in icy cold water, or boiling for that matter.

 

She sighed and continued walking.

 

Gharanth was surprised and pleased when the warm water soaked him. It was comforting and pleasant. He stood still with a huge smile on his face. When he was clean he walked to his bags and began to change into dry clothes. "You are progressing remarkably quickly. You are magnificent."

 

"What's wrong?" he asked.

 

Twilight rolled her eyes. "At least I know now that I can clean my enemies to death." She wiped mud off her face.

 

"It's nothing," she said.

 

"Don't lose heart. Control is important. Not every use of your power will be to attack enemies.What if you want to do something good? I use my nature powers to heal as well as kill. It takes control. Each skill makes you more powerful and expands your knowledge. You can make a mud slick now."

 

"You can tell me." he said.
