Demons and Heroes

Gharanth then thought about how he had run to the other world. What a coward. He wouldn't stand and fight. Gharanth would get the other orb and use the combined power to blast the little cowards world apart, literally.

 

Aroe breathed in the cold air. It hadn't been snowing a moment ago. Somehow, he didnt mind the weather. It felt beter than his mental pain, that was for sure. He rubbed his pale fingers together, blowing wind out around him to shake off the mounting snow on his body. Cold wouldn't be a problem once he had the other orbs. The fire orb...the ice orb...all of them.

'And the girl will go first.' He thought bitterly as he chewed his lip. 'If she is gone, maybe i will be strong enough to kill the others.'

But he could still see her tears when he closed his eyes. He could still hear her...

 

Natalie walked into the forest as she made it continuously snow...She got a bad feeling about being alone but it didn't matter...She then made a block of ice appear..She made that her current target..She was training for a little while before she trained with Cole...But the eerie winds made her uneasy..She didn't know what would happen while she was away from the group...

 

Gharanth began to run. He could cover great distances when he wanted to. He entered the forest and slowed as he sensed another sentient being. Was it a friend or foe. "Who is there?" he boomed.

 

Aroe jumped into another tree. He had heard something. A sound of soft, gentle breath. A girl. The snow blew a bit harder now and he knew what had caused the weather as he watched Natalie under him, forming something in the ice.
This was the seventh time he'd spotted her but instead of attacking, he found he'd just sit and watch for the longest time. Never moving. Just watching.

He chewed his lip again, running his frozen hand through him raven black hair and letting his cold grey eyes settle on her. He knew right away that she was a rooky. The way she handled her powers. She needed practice. She was an easy target, but again, he just watched, gaining up courage as he did.

 

Natalie heard Gharanth and jumped back in terror..She ended up falling back and hitting the ground.She sat up in Gharanth'd presense...She was terrified of Ghranth after shed seen the last battle...She was too scared to speak...

 

Gharanth sensed the arrogant demon. He was getting to be a real annoyance. Gharanth was torn between fighting the girl and fighting the demon. The girl was weaker and less sport so he chose the demon.

"Come out you arrogant fool!"

 

It took only a second for Aroe to realize Gharanth meant him.
'What a fool.' He thought, but in his heart he knew he was no match for the deamon before him.
Better to stay queit, let him find someone else to beat on. Maybe he'd leave and Aroe could go back to watching Natalie below. Maybe...

 

Natalie was confused...Who was he talking to?
She looked around until she saw Aroe...She recognized him...She closed her eyes...Then opened them as they glowed a whitish color...She made it stop snowing...She stood up and backed up for a bit.. She knew one was gonna attemt to kill her so, she tried backing up far enough to where she could run away from them...

Aroe saw Natalie's sudden movement below him, saw her face etched with horrer. Horror of him? He felt a twinge of guilt inside him, curseing his own spirit, he frowned apologetically at Natalie but she didn't seem to see it. Maybe it was best she didn't.
He swallowed hard, turning his eyes back to Gharanth.

 

"You can run little girl but you can't hide. I enjoy a little sport so you are making this fun for me. Let's play hide and seek." Gharanth began hunting her. He hoped the arrogant one would keep out of the way. He could hunt them both if necessary.

 

Aroe swore under his breath.
"Gharanth, I'll kill you." He hissed as he gave chase, following him as he drew closer to Natalie.

 

"You can try to kill me but you'll fail. You aren't as powerful as you thought."

 

Natalie knew that the snow on the ground would make it difficult because of her foot prints...She ran and ran..then ran into a bush where she tried not to make a sound.. Tears rolling down her cheek and her heart pounding... Was this the end of her life? She didn't know...She would think it was a mirical if she could get out of this mess alive...

 

Aroe swallowed. He saw the bush Natalie had hidden in but couldn't be sure Gharanth hadn't. He doubted he could beat the deamon before him but he couldn't bear to watch Natalie die by his hand for some reason.
He slowly positioned himself in front of the bush as if to protect her, trying to make it so Gharanth didn't see who hid just three feet behind him.

 

Gharanth hurled a fireball at Aroe, driving him away from Natalie. He never shared his sport with anyone. "It's alright little rabbit. this fox is a swift hunter." He hoped that Aroe would get the message and leave this hunt.

 

darkeon was walking around when he noticed a small village, so he headed over twards the vilage and when he was there he sent out a wave of energy that destroyed village. he laughed at how easy it was as he kept walking.

 

Natalie saw Aroe and Gharanth just right at the bush.. She tried to breathe calmly hoping he hadn't seen her yet...Tears still going down her cheeks she tried to stay quiet...

 

Aroe rolled into the snow, trying to ease the pain where the fire had hit him. There was no doubt now, Gharanth knew where Natalie was. Only one choice was left for Aroe.
"NO!" He shouted as he through himself at Gharanth as hard as he could, but he weighed not even half of what Gharanth did. That was a risk he would willingly take for Natalie.
